New York is in some serious danger now. All because of Hydra, the city is in a state of panic. Criminals are out and roaming free, Sable International is trying to control the situation using forceful methods, and D-EL8 virus has been unleashed with people getting sick and could be dying. Of course, that isn't going to stop Paul and his friends from doing everything they can to save the city.
"You might wish to protect the city, but how do you plan to handle this entire situation?" Sabella asked. "The whole city is in chaos and pandemonium. How can you and your friends handle it?"
"The way we know how: winging it and doing whatever the hell we can. Hydra and his team are the biggest concern until we can do something about the virus." Paul said. "We'll have to start with them while doing what we can about the rest of them."
"Hold that thought." Thomas said through their communication link.
"What is it?" Paul asked.
"I'm getting calls from Ray. He and the police are under attack!" Thomas said.
"Sounds like a starting point for us." Paul said. "What's going on?"
"The west and east police stations are under attacked by convicts, and Fang and Hurricane are there too!" Thomas said.
"Like I said, a good starting point." Paul said as he was getting ready to go.
"Wait." Sabella said as she stopped him from going anywhere. "You're injured, you can't do much on your own. I'm going with you."
"Are you sure? You've never faced guys like this before?" Paul said.
"I am. You're going to need all the help you can get." Sabella claimed. She had a point there. This might be too big for Paul and his friends to handle, so he'll take all the help he can get. He grabbed a hold of Sabella and was getting ready to jump.
"Venom and Blite, I'm closer to the east station. Sabella and I will head there, you two take the west station." Paul said and jumped off. He shot a line and swung off with Sabella holding on.
"Don't think this means I do forgive you." Sabella warned.
"Can we talk about that later?!" Paul said as that was the last thing he needed to think about now.
...
The West Station
The police were under heavy fire. Some of the convicts from Ryker's were roaming free, and some of them wanted revenge on the police. They had some heavy weapons and tried shooting down the police with the police taking cover behind some cars. It also certainly didn't help that Fang was there and was running a rampage. Fang made his way around the bullets and smashed right through the cars.
"Get that cat!" A couple of them were brave enough to attack Fang directly, but fought them back easily. He practically smashed his fists against them and took the police easily.
"This is almost too easy. These peasants should learn their place!" Fang criticized.
"Bad kitty!" He looked up and saw Venom come right at him as he kicked him right in the face.
"Look at that. The black ugly spider shows because the pesky one is dead." Fang said.
"You really think you creeps did Spidey for good like that? You never had before." Thomas taunted.
"Well, Hydra did expect he would survive, but a tiger can hope, can't he?" Fang claimed and then leaped right at Thomas with his claws. However, Thomas was able to hit him right in the face and knocked him back. Meanwhile, the convicts were still trying to shoot down the police. However, Blite showed up as she dived down and landed right on top of one and knocked him out.
"I'm all for a rave, boys, but this one might be overdoing it." Lindsay teased. Some of the convicts turned their attention to her and tried to kill her instead. Meanwhile, Fang kept trying to attack Thomas as he slashed his claws at him, but Thomas jumped right over him. When he did that, Thomas jumped right on Fang's back and tried putting him in a headlock.
"Take your hands off me, disgusting commoner!" Fang demanded as he tried to shake him off.
"Still acting like your above everyone?" Thomas complained. "Get over yourself!" He shot a couple lines to keep Fang's arms restricted, but Fang was stronger than he looked. Fang backed up and smashed Thomas right into a wall. When he did that, he grabbed a hold of Thomas and threw him to the ground.
"As much as I would like to finish you and your friends off, I have other matters I must attend to." Fang claimed.
"What are you even up to? What are you doing here?" Thomas said.
"I don't need to answer to you, but I do believe you have your own issues that need your attention." Fang said as he pointed behind him. Thomas looked behind him and saw Blite was in some serious trouble. She was pinned down with the convicts firing away at her and the police.
"Venom! I could use a hand here!" Lindsay called. Thomas turned back to Fang, but he saw Fang was already making a run for it. As much as Thomas wanted to go after him, Lindsay needed his fight now. He hurried to help them and unleashed a series of webbing and got the convicts.

The East Station
At the same time, Hurricane was unleashing his own terror upon the east police station. It was like a storm was blowing through the place as the building was trapped in a tempest and was trying to tear through it like it was a tornado. Meanwhile, other convicts were attacking the police down on the streets. One police officer was knocked down and a convict was ready to kill him.
"I think it's time someone gave you police the death penalty!" The convict said as he was about to kill him, but he didn't get the chance. Someone shot him right in the arm and stopped him from shooting anything. He looked up only to be met with Sabella kicking him back.
"Consider that a warning shot." Sabella claimed. As for Hurricane, he was about to tear right through the building, but Paul came swinging in and kicked him right in the back and stopped him from doing anything. The two of them landed on a ledge with Paul getting ready to fight.
"The mad scientist was right. You are one hard spider to squash no matter how hard we try." Hurricane claimed.
"What's going on here, Hurricane? Why are you attacking the police?" Paul questioned.
"Why not?!" Hurricane answered and attacked him by throwing a blast of wind at him, but Paul jumped up and stuck to the wall to avoid his attack. Hurricane flew after him as he threw multiple blasts of wind at him while Paul kept moving and went further and further up the building until he landed on the roof. Timed badly, Monica tried calling him.
"Sorry, Monica. I can't talk now. I'm dealing with your craziest fan." Paul said as he ignored the call. Hurricane flew up to him and kept trying to attack him, but Paul kept moving around on the roof to avoid his attacks.
"You can't run forever, Spider!" Hurricane called.
"I'm not running, I'm jumping!" Paul said. He tried his best to hold out against him, but that was when Ray came busting through the door with his gun ready.
"Frizz, freeze!" Ray called.
"Ray, no!" Paul shouted. Ray tried shooting Hurricane down, but Hurricane unleashed an intense force of wind like it was a shockwave with it causing some damage to the area. The blast hit Ray and sent him flying and falling off the roof. "No!" Paul hurried as he jumped off the roof and dived after Ray. He was able to grab a hold of Ray and swung him to safety. "That was rather stupid."
"I'm a cop. I had to do something here. It's not like you would have done the same." Ray claimed. Paul wanted to go back and deal with Hurricane, but he was already flying away. As for Sabella, she was finishing off the last of the convicts. Didn't really have much problem with them.
"Uh... You good, Sabella?" Paul asked as it seemed like she had everything handled.
"I am. These men think they're tough because they have guns, but they're not." Sabella said. At least some of the convicts were handled. That was when Monica tried calling Paul again and he answered this time.
"Hey, Monica." Paul said.
"Paul! Thank goodness! Lindsay called me and saw you were awake!" Monica said as she sounded frantic. Didn't even give Paul the chance to speak. "Listen, some of the convicts attacked one of the homeless shelter's buildings, the one on Maddison! They set the building on fire and your mother and brother were inside hiding and getting supplies."
"What?!" Paul said as he didn't like that at all.
"Go! We've got this!" Ray said as he allowed him to go. Paul didn't hesitate as he hurried as fast as he could.
...
The Fire
The building was burning and blazing. The firemen tried to contain it, but the fire was spreading quickly and the hoses was shooting enough water to handle it. Monica stayed outside and hoped that Trisha and Marcus would make it out of there.
"Monica!" She looked and saw Paul landed down. "Where are they?!"
"Still inside! They haven't found them yet!" Monica said. That was all Paul needed to know as he hurried in there. He shot a couple lines and shot himself straight through a window.
"Hello?! It's me! Where are you?!" Paul called as he moved as fast as he could through the flames, but he couldn't find them anywhere. "Where are you?!
"Up here!" He could hear his brother calling from a few floors higher through an opening in the floors. Paul moved fast as he jumped through the openings and make their way up. He arrived on the floor and looked around for them. "Over here!" Paul looked through a doorway blocked off by flames and saw them both on the other side.
"Help! The flames are burning through the floor!" Trisha called.
"I'm coming!" Paul said as he moved as fast as he could. However, it wasn't fast enough. The floor was breaking apart and they both fell through. "No!" He shouted as he jumped right through the flames and dropped to the floor. He shot a couple lines and was able to catch both of them. "Hold on!" He shouted as he tried to pull them up, but his injuries were keeping him from doing that. His body was finally starting to catch up with him.
"Are you okay?!" Marcus called.
"I'm not the one dangling. Hold on, I can't pull you up, but I'm going to lower you down!" Paul groaned. He lowered them down a lower floor and kept them safe. "There."
"Not good enough." Trisha said as they saw the floor was breaking apart again. It wasn't looking good. That was until helped arrived. A window smashed open and they saw it was Jean.
"Jean?!" Paul called.
"Come on! This way!" Jean called as she made a way for them to get out. Trisha and Marcus hurried over as Jean helped them both get across. "Come on! You too!" She called to Paul. Paul tried to move, but his spider sense alerted him and that was when the floor he was on gave out and he fell through the lower floor. Luckily, Marcus moved quickly and caught him.
"I got you, bro!" Marcus said. Jean moved quickly and helped out as she grabbed him too and pulled him up. Once they got him up, all of them hurried out of there and down a fire escape. Just as they got out was right when everyone else showed up and were glad to see they all made it out.
"Not my idea of a reunion." Paul said as he finally had a chance to catch his breath.
...
The Homeless Shelter
After what happened at the fire, they took the supplies they were able to salvage and went back to the shelter to recuperate. However, it was bad. Some people caught the virus. They're sick and need rest. It looked rather bad in there and the shelter is doing what they can to help those people. Paul needed a moment, so he went up to the roof to clear his head. With his injuries and all that's going on, his mind and body need to be able to relax just for a moment or so. That was right when Jean came up with some water.
"Here. Thought you might like this." Jean said as she handed it to Paul.
"Thanks." Paul said as he took it. "I was a bit surprised to see you came and help."
"Well, the city is turning into Hell. Now's probably not the time for our petty disagreements." Jean said as she put her pride aside and wants to try and settle things with Paul. She might not get the chance with all that is happening.
"What about James? Where is he?" Paul asked.
"He went out of town before that virus hit, so he's safe. Although, he won't be able to make it back in until this mess is cleared." Jean said. Being up on the roof, it gives them the chance to do some actual talking. "Listen, I'm sorry I've been out of touched. The truth is...I feel I don't fit into your life anymore, Paul."
"What are you talking about?" Paul asked.
"Think about it." Jean said. "You have your brother and your mother, that's obvious. Thomas and Lindsay are your partners. Harris is your best friend. Monica is a reporter, so she can give you the inside scoop. Ray is a cop that helps with your crimes. So, where does that leave me? Yeah, we dated for a couple months, but that was about it. I just feel like there's no place for me now."
"I'm sorry I made you feel that way." Paul said as he finally sees what Jean feeling. "Still, you're just as important to me as any of them are. Having people like you in my life gives me a reason to fight harder. Besides, I'm going need you and that big science brain now more than ever. Your genius could be what helps against the virus." Jean was glad to hear that, and of course she would help. "Still friends?"
"Always." Jean assured.
"Good because it's going to take all of us to beat this." They both looked and saw Thomas, Lindsay, Sabella, and Monica joining in. Paul has his team now, and his team could be what saves the city. "It's pure chaos in the city." Thomas claimed.
"We're certainly going to have our hands full." Lindsay said. "What's the plan?"
"We need to find a cure for the virus, we need to help the people Sabella's brother is wrongfully treating, and we need to find Hydra and take him down." Paul claimed. "It's like I said, this is our city and we're taking it back." Paul and his team is getting ready for action. This might be their biggest battle yet, but they might pull through by sticking together.
