Ginny plopped down on one of the armchairs of the Gryffindor common room. She glanced over at Harry who was playing wizard's chess with Ron. Her heart sunk knowing he would never feel the same way about her.
Ginny tried to take her mind off Harry and glanced around the Common Room. Her ex-boyfriend Dean Thomas was now hanging all over his latest attraction Lavender Brown. Ginny rolled her eyes and quickly moved her glance to someone sitting almost opposite her. Seamus Finnagin gave her a shy smile and looked away. Ginny's heart fluttered. How had she never noticed Seamus before? Ginny smiled to herself, glanced around the room one more time before her glance landed again on Seamus. This time their gazes locked for a few minutes. Before Ginny broke her gaze, she gave him a warm, sensuous smile.
Seamus turned a light pink color and shifted in his chair. Seamus gave Ginny a thoughtful look and thought for a second. He started to get up but sat back down when Hermione granger took Ginny's attention away. Both of the girls giggled at something Hermione was holding in her hands. Hermione then proceeded to take Ginny's attention away from her chair and away from Seamus.
Ginny gave one more thoughtful look at Seamus before following Hermione up the stairs and into her common room.
