"Huh?" He questioned her when she didn't respond to his words before forcing her head to nod along to the words he spoke, "Yes. Of course. Now you."

"Yes. Of course." She whimpered out as she tried to hold back her tears.

"They're unique, you know." He tells her as he touches the scars he'd created, "Turns out different every time. Victor's, for example… They're much deeper. Huh?"

He quickly releases her as he turns to kick an awakening Victor in the stomach, causing Victor to whimper in confused fear and pain. Dr. Saunders whimpers and turns away from them as Alpha stalks forward and roughly grabs her arm.

"Have you always… wanted to be a doctor?" Alpha questioned and when he didn't get a response, he became aggressive, "It's a simple question. Answer now."

"Yes." She croaked out.

"That's a lie." He told her, "let's try another."

"Tell me about the first time you met me?"

"Y-you were new… You had signed the a-a-agreement and they'd just… you'd just been wiped for the first time. Your handler brought you to me for an exam."

"And did you examen me?" Alpha asked, "My whole body?"

"Yes."

"And was I fine? Healthy? Intact?"

"Yes"

"This is so interesting. I wish we had more time…"

She finally turned to face him, tears in her eyes as she looked at him fearfully, "We don't have time?"

Ballard pushed a handcuffed Ballard out of the elevator and into DeWitt's office.

"Did you really think you could just walk into the Dollhouse? When everyone knows it's doesn't exist?" She tells him as she walks closer towards them until she's standing in front of them.

Ballard was forced to sit in a chair and glared at them, "You are digging yourselves in so deep, you have no idea. I'm a federal agent."

"You've been suspended." She tells him incredulously, speaking over his next words, "You are no longer protected by those laws."

"The penalties for interfering with a federal agent in the performance of his—" He stops wasting his breath on the roman and instead turns to Boyd, "You really justify this? What you do to these people? You can live with this?"

"You're the one who came in here and assaulted one of our residents." He told a stupefied Ballard.

"Y e s. There's indignation enough for everyone to have seconds." Adele mocks Ballard as he turns to her.

"If you really didn't want me here then maybe you shouldn't have filled my life with so many interesting lies." He says, his words getting louder the more he spoke.

"You have been quite a challenge." DeWitt told him with a smile.

"Oh, is that why you tried to kill me? Twice?" He questioned sarcastically.

"It might be good for us both that I failed." She whispered to him.

"I don't even care that these people signed themselves over to you. There is no provision for… for consensual slavery. It is w r o n g." He tells her before turning his attention back to Boyd, "You know it's wrong. You feel it in your bones. What you did too Caroline is wrong."

"You know so many things. Facts and names…" She trailed off before quickly glancing at Boyd and then back onto Ballard intently, "What do you think, Mr. Langton?"

"What do you mean?" Boyd asked in confusion.

"Should we put him in the chair?" She asked as she never takes her eyes off of Ballard.

"Echo? Oscar?" Dr. Saunders called out with a wavering tone, "Come here please."

Echo and Oscar turned to Dr. Saunders office before turning to Jason, both gesturing for him to follow them. Jason felt as if something was wrong and followed close behind them, prepared to defend them if necessary. Echo opens the door and sees Victor groaning in pain on the floor. Oscar and Jason follow close behind her, Jason tensing as he catches sight of Victor's slashed face. Dr. Saunders is pushed onto the ground before them by Alpha as he slides the door shut behind them.

They all turned towards Alpha, "Echo. Oscar."

"Oh. I know you. I remember something about you" Echo said softly, dimly aware of Jason preparing to defend them both if he needed to.

"I remember everything about both you and Oscar." Alpha told her with a smile, glancing towards Oscar and Jason, "And Jason, I wasn't sure about you at first… but I found out quite a bit about your life while you went with Agent Ballard and now I know... you need me to protect you. Just like Oscar."

"I can protect myself just fine." Jason scowled, pushing Oscar behind him and was angered he couldn't do the same for Echo.

"Oh, that's where your wrong. Don't worry, you'll learn soon enough." Alpha told him as he gripped Echo's arm, "Now, I think it would be best if you and Oscar followed both Echo and I upstairs. Hmm?"

Jason quickly glanced at the grip on Echo's upper arm before looking back towards Alpha's face, "Fine. Just don't hurt her."

Alpha's smile softened, "I won't. Now, follow me."

They followed as Alpha led Echo up the stairs. Echo seemed a bit concerned, glancing back towards Jason and Oscar to make sure they were still close to her before turning her gaze back forward.

"Shh. It's okay. It'll be alright." Alpha murmured to her reassuringly, not even glancing back to make sure Jason and Oscar were following behind them.

He was confident that they would stick close to them, if for no other reason then to make sure Echo was safe. Very soon, everything would fall into place.

"You know I don't need your consent." DeWitt told Boyd.

Boyd continued to argue against her, "You asked my opinion. In my opinion, this man hasn't agreed to this… and his crime isn't—"

Boyd is interrupted by a phone ringing on DeWitts desk. Boyd picks up the phone and handed it over to DeWitt. She quickly answered the phone and put it to her ear, walking a bit away from the two men.

"DeWitt."

"Yeah, this is Special Agent Gerhardt calling for the director." Sierra's voice said from the other line.

"Go ahead."

"Didn't want you to have to wait for my report, Madam Director. The MO is right for your suspect. That's a positive. The name we got on the vic if Stephen J. Kepler."

"Stephen J. Kepler." DeWitt told Boyd.

"Got it." Boyd said as he turned to the computer monitor to look up the name.

DeWitt turned her attention back to her phone conversation as Sierra continued, "He was some kind of specialist in environmental design. The interesting part is that he wasn't killed in Tucson. He was killed in Los Angeles and planted here."

"Kepler's in our system. He's got a subcontractor number from ten years back." Boyd told her before turning to her, "He helped build the Dollhouse."

DeWitt slowly put down the phone, her face suddenly serious as she noticed Alpha on the monitor with three others. Boyd looked at the screen, wondering why there were so many dolls inside Topher's office.

"Alpha isn't in Tucson." She whispered.
