A lot of people's spirits in the Leaf were slowly starting to be revitalized after the nine-tail's attack several months ago.

Because of that, Jonathan was able to maneuver around freely. His use of the transformation technique was also correctly utilized. He wouldn't transform into just one person. He had a variety of shinobi and citizens he could safely choose from. Whether it was people who had not yet been born or people from other villages, Jonathan did not exclude transforming into them.

The moment spring came, Jonathan had been keeping a close eye on Kakashi Hatake. This was the year an important event would occur. For Jonathan, it was nothing more than another opportunity. He didn't care about helping others. Neither did he have any attachment to anyone in this world. Be it once his favourite character or a despised character, Jonathan's goal had not changed, nor ever would. He was the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He was someone who had to wake up daily in this world. Just that alone served as his reminder.

Every morning, Jonathan checked on Kakashi. From the time he woke up screaming in his home to the time he took a stroll in the Leaf. But this was not the reason Jonathan kept watch. He needed to evaluate where he was in the story through Kakashi's actions.

Because of Kakashi's post-traumatic stress, he knew the day he was waiting for was fast approaching.

Kakashi was part of the Anbu Black Ops. They were so secret in their movements that even Jonathan couldn't accurately tell where one would be hiding. This was just one of the many reasons he consistently used the transformation technique when moving about.

Jonathan arose early from his sleep and immediately transformed into the youthful Hashirama Senju. Leaving through the window, he rushed toward Kakashi's residence. He had discovered his home on the second day after witnessing him walking depressedly. Jonathan had of course kept the safest distance he could when following Kakashi. This was because he was in Anbu, an organization that would even spy on each other. This even included being spied on by other organizations such as Root.

When Kakashi slowly paced on the streets of Konaha, the long awaited scene Jonathan had been hoping for finally took place. A small boy wearing a mask was standing afar, watching Kakashi from a rooftop. Jonathan remembered this scene clearly because of how much he enjoyed this particular filler arc. That boy was none other than Kinoe.

Yamato, who was given the name Kinoe while he was under Danzō Shimura's organization, had encountered Kakashi Hatake twice. In their second meeting, Kakashi let Yamato go after valuing his kekkei genkai, the notorious wood style technique. After that fateful moment, Yamato took an interest in Kakashi. Jonathan knew that their second encounter had just taken place because this was the first time, he'd seen Yamato appear. And at the right spot just like he remembered.

The instant he spotted Yamato, Jonathan activated his sharingan. A few seconds later and Yamato departed from the area.

Yamato, still wearing his mask, leapt from building to building before exiting through an underground entrance by the village walls. At the end of that entrance, he made it outside the village. Yamato quickly began leaping from tree to tree until he spotted not one but three kunai approaching him from the side.

Yamato narrowly dodged by tilting his upper body backwards and landing safely on the ground.

"Who's there?!" Yamato questioned.

It was Jonathan who threw those kunai. Yamato saw what looked to be a frail boy, only a foot under his height with a buzz cut, walking out of the bushes. He moved a tree branch out of his way before coming into full view.

"How's it going, Kinoe?"
