Later that day, after Mr. Scatterbrain and Little Miss Calamity left, Mr. Small decided to give Scarlet some space. She still seemed confused about a few things, but he hoped whatever was in her bag was helping her discover who she was and what happened to her before she arrived in Dillydale.

When he left her room, the young human was looking for the red binder that she said had information on one of her personalities. She was pulling out everything in her bag like she thought she missed it somehow. He just told her to keep looking for it and it's bound to turn up. While truthfully, he knew exactly where it had to be; but he didn't want his best friend to get yelled at again. He had silently made a promise to himself that he'll go receive the binder and return it to Scarlet, simply saying he found it in the house which wouldn't be a total lie.

Now Mr. Small was on his way to the room he shared with Mr. Nosy. He opened the door and immediately spotted his best friend sitting up in his bed and looking down at something. As Mr. Small approached, he noticed that his best friend had indeed taken the binder and was now reading it. Mr. Small stopped beside the bed, but Mr. Nosy seemed unaware that he was there.

He must be really into whatever he's reading, Mr. Small thought.

Mr. Small cleared his throat and asked," What are you doing, Nose?" He looked over the bed, but couldn't make out anything in the binder.

Mr. Nosy jumped when Mr. Small spoke, but he relaxed when he realized it was only his little buddy. "I found this binder in the living room," he confessed, glancing down at his friend. "It's full of papers about some person called Ace." He looked down at the binder again. "It's very interesting."

Mr. Small told him what he found out about Scarlet, that she seemed to have Multiple Personality Discover, and that Ace was one of the personalities. Mr. Nosy stared at his friend while he explained, and when he was finished, the light green Mr. Man's eyes were huge.

"So Scarlet is actually Ace?" he asked as he moved to the edge of the bed.

"In a way, yes," Mr. Small replied. "They share a body, but they seem to be two completely different people." He suddenly remembered that his best friend got hurt earlier, and he looked at him with concern. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Better," Mr. Nosy answered. "I'm more curious to find out what I can about Scarlet and her personality. I wonder if I could meet Ace…" His voice trailed off as he looked thoughtful.

Mr. Small shrugged. Unlike his friend, he didn't have much interest in getting to know anyone beside Scarlet. Over the past few days, she's changed moods so much because of her disorder that he was starting to think maybe it would be wise to avoid the other personalities. He just found it disappointing that she couldn't control it.

Before Mr. Small could say anything, Mr. Nosy got out of bed. He seemed to be a little unsteady which worried Mr. Small.

"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked his best friend. "You might need to rest for a bit longer."

But Mr. Nosy was shaking his head. "I really want to know more about Scarlet's personalities." He stumbled across the room, but by the time he got to the door, he seemed to have gained enough balance to be able to walk the rest of the way without any problems.

Sighing, Mr. Small followed him out of their bedroom and into Scarlet's room. When they were in there, they spotted the red haired girl staring down at her toy lemur with a frown on her face. But she glanced up when the two Mr. Men walked in. Mr. Small stopped when he saw a flash of fear come across her face; it was like she didn't recognize them.

Maybe she's a different personality now? he realized.

He locked his gaze on her necklace and saw that the light was green now, a color he hadn't seen in the necklace before.

He watched as his friend continued to walk over to the bed as if he hadn't noticed the sudden change of attitude in the girl. Mr. Small studied her closely, noticing that she seemed more frightened the closer Mr. Nosy came.

Quickly, the small Mr. Man ran in front of his friend which made him come to a halt and looked down at Mr. Small with a questioning expression, but without saying anything to Mr. Nosy, Mr. Small turned back to the girl on the bed.

"Hello. What's your name?" he asked, noting that she looked more scared now than the day they first found her.

The red haired kid's eyes widened. "J-Jerry," the human stammered. "M-My name is J-Jerry…"

Mr. Small realized that the young human must have male personalities as well as Ace, who seemed to be female. "Hello, Jerry. Nice to meet you. I'm Mr. Small." He thought maybe the personality would calm down if he knew who he was talking to. "And that's Mr. Nosy." He pointed to his best friend.

However, Jerry just stared at them with terrified eyes and he crawled to the other side of the bed. "I-I don't know where I am." He scooted too close to the edge and fell onto the floor.

Mr. Small ran to the other side of the bed and looked down at the scared human. "It's okay," he tried to reassure him. "You are in our house. You're staying with us for now, because you don't remember where you live." It was then that he realized that it was Scarlet who didn't know where she's from; perhaps her personalities would have answers to the questions she was seeking.

Jerry looked at Mr. Small for a moment, before getting to his feet. Mr. Small was glad to see that he seemed unhurt.

"Do you remember anything from your past?" Mr. Nosy suddenly appeared beside Mr. Small and looked at the male personality curiously; his small friend was relieved that Mr. Nosy had asked Jerry that instead of him.

Jerry jumped when the other Mr. Man asked him that question, and then he opened his mouth to reply, but suddenly there was a knock at the front door. Mr. Small was going to go answer it when he noticed that his friend was frightening Jerry even more by staring at him. He realized that it wasn't going to be easy to get answers from Jerry since he seemed so jumpy, and he wanted to get Mr. Nosy away from him so he didn't scare him too much.

He tapped the light green Mr. Man on the side. "Come on, Nose," he said when he got his friend's attention. "We have company. Let's go see who it is," he added when Mr. Nosy didn't move.

"Okay," Mr. Nosy murmured, and he reluctantly followed his friend, but as they walked out of the room, Mr. Small noticed Mr. Nosy glancing back at the human.

When they got to the door, Mr. Small opened it, and found himself looking at Mr. Persnickety and Mr. Messy. He lifted his hat and greeted his friends, before asking," Is there something we can help you with?"

"We heard from Mr. Scatterbrain and Miss. Calamity that there's a new girl in town," Mr. Messy explained. "We wanted to meet her."

Mr. Persnickety nodded. "That's quite right. But they said there was something off about her," he added, looking at the two friends curiously. "Something strange, and the way they talked, it sounded like they seemed unsure about her."

Mr. Small thought they must have meant Scarlet's disorder when they spread the news about Scarlet, but he was glad that they didn't actually tell anyone about her personalities; he would rather keep that a secret for now. "She can't remember her past," he told them instead. Then he took a step back and invited his friends in. "She may seem a little off, but she's very nice," he added once they were in the house. He didn't want them to meet her when Jerry was out, so he sent Mr. Nosy to go check on her and told him that if she was feeling up to it he should bring her out here.

His friend nodded and went back to the guest room. Mr. Small was left in the living room with Mr. Persnickety and Mr. Messy. They kept glancing in the direction of the room, until finally Mr. Nosy returned with the red haired human. Mr. Small eyed her closely, relief washing over him when he saw that the green light in her necklace was back to red now. He knew this meant Scarlet was back.

"Hello," she greeted the two new Mr. Men, smiling at them.

Mr. Small added," Her name is Scarlet."

"Hey, Scarlet," said the fussy Mr. Man. "I'm Mr. Persnickety."

"And I'm Mr. Messy." The pink Mr. Man looked closely at the red haired girl. "So you can't remember anything from your past?" he asked. "Can't remember where you're from or your family or anything?"

Scarlet shook her head, frowning. "I have a picture of my family that I think my mom gave me," she replied. "But I don't remember her giving it to me..." She sighed and looked down. "I'm not even sure if they are still alive," she added quietly.

Mr. Persnickety and Mr. Messy exchanged horrified glances, before turning to Mr. Small and Mr. Nosy. Mr. Small hesitated, before deciding they needed to get Scarlet's mind off the depressing subject. "Come on, Scarlet," he said as he walked to the door.

She looked up, confused. "Where are we going?"

"You've been in Dillydale for a few days now," Mr. Small explained," but you haven't seen the town properly yet. We can show it to you, if you like."

The other Mr. Men murmured an agreement as they joined Mr. Small by the door. It was a few moments before Scarlet finally nodded and walked over to them. "Sure," she said, smiling. "I'd love to see your town."
