The crosshairs moved across the snowfield silently. Under the guise of a mound of snow, Cobra steadied his aim and prepared to take the shot. He zeroed in his scope and exhaled deeply before pulling the trigger. The young Siberian sentry he had been aiming at fell silently, soaking the snow on which he fell a deep crimson red. Cobra stood up and moved in. Operation King Cobra had commenced.
Ivan Petrovitch-code name: King Cobra-was the best mercenary in his field…save the legendary Solid Snake. Cobra was, in fact, the missing link between Salidin and Solid Snake--being the last surviving son of the Les Enfant Terrible project. He was both the oldest and the fiercest of the eight children, possessing a terrible ability to destroy. In fact, the only one who could ever come close to his ability to end mankind's life was David McKenzie, also known as Solid snake.
The mission was to be a simple one: infiltrate the NBC Base in the Siberian wilderness and remove any capabilities of launching the next Metal Gear prototype, code-named: Metal Gear Apocalypse. This new Metal Gear was designed, not just to fire nuclear missiles, but also chemical and biological weapons, not to mention it's amphibious capabilities. The enemy would be heavily armed and have the advantage of the snow covered wilderness on their side.

Cobra moved across the snow covered wilderness in his snow ghillie, dragging his camouflaged field-bags with a 25' rope, to aid in keeping him from being detected from above. Upon finding a suitable shooting spot, he dug in to the deep snow and prepared to clear the infiltration space. Lying still, he waited for the next 15 minutes before taking his first shot.

Inside of NBC Base
Cobra moved stepped into the long corridor, dumbstruck by the size of the compound. There were at least twenty doors within the first seven feet. There was something that bothered Cobra though. About seventy-five yards down the hall, he saw a middle-aged man in a sneaking suit creep into a room. Cobra knew instantly that his kid brother was here to accomplish the same objective that he had come to do. Cobra decided not to interfere in his little bro's mission…until the end that is. He knew he would have to confront his brother, who he had not seen since basic training when they were in elementary school.
Cobra shook the idea out of his head, he would worry about it when he got to that point. Till then, he would focus on the task at hand.
Suddenly, he heard a painful ringing. Alarmed, he leaped into the shadows and drew his SOCOM. He then realized that it was his codec. After activating his transmitter, he looked around to make sure that no one was coming.
Come in sergeant.
Cobra, are you in?
Affirmative, sir. The corridor remains empty.
Good. Your first objective is to access the computer room. There you will find the program you need to download into your radar system. After that, you will need to find Dr. Calvin S. Harrison, the developer of the new metal gear. From there, you have fifth freedom. I will contact you concerning any changes in the plan that may occur. Remember, your goal is to destroy metal gear BEFORE it reaches the final stage.
Copy that; over and out.
Cobra looked up and caught sight of a L.I.S. (Light Infantry Soldier). Moving closer to the unsuspecting soldier, he drew his knife and snuck up behind him. In an instant, all the troubles the guard would have experienced were over.
Cobra moved on,
