Chapter Four: Mediterranean Homesick Blues

It was another peaceful morning for Gwen and Courtney. That was until the alarm clock woke them up.

Courtney: "Stupid alarm clock."

Gwen: "I'm with you right there."

Gwen decided to turn off the alarm and went into the bathroom to get dressed. When Gwen got out of the bathroom she went to turn on the TV. Unfortunately for them that the Language was French.

Courtney: "Well I'm going to go eat some breakfast. You in?"

Gwen: "Sure why not."

They turned off the TV and left their room.

Gwen and Courtney got some Breakfast and saw Noah and Owen at a table alone.

Courtney: "You know being here in Paris again brings me back so much memories. I'm gonna miss it here."

Noah: "I'm not going to miss it here on the other hand. Last time I was here a laser activated on my crotch and Owen ate one of the paintings in the Louvre getting him banned."

Owen: "But there were pictures of fruit on it."

Noah: "My case is rested."

The Goths walked up to all four of them.

Ennui: "See I told you Crimson that we weren't the only goths on this show."

Crimson: "That's hardcore."

Ennui: "Careful Crimson. Everyone can hear you." (No one heard Crimson at all.)

Crimson: "What was the one thing that just made you want to die?"

Gwen: "Every minute on Total Drama."

Ennui: "Cool whatever." (The Goths walked off.)

Courtney: "I don't know about you Gwen but the goths really freak me out."

Gwen: "True but at the same time I can kinda relate to them."

Noah: "I'm not sure I can relate on the other hand. But I can agree with Gwen that I hated being on Total Drama."

Owen: "Come on guys! Let's not think too negative on the show. Let's think about all the good times we've had."

All three of them gave him a look.

Owen: "alrighty then. I'm gonna go over there."

Noah: "I better follow him before he does something stupid." (The Reality TV Pros left them alone again.)

Gwen and Courtney turned around to see the Ice Dancers glaring at them.

Courtney: "Let's go get ready for the race. I see we aren't welcomed from some teams."

They finished their breakfast and went outside.

5 minutes have passed and everyone was getting ready in line. But for one team they thought it would be a wonderful idea to cut the Drama Stars in line.

Don: "Woah-Woah-Woah yesterday's winners go first ice Capades!"

Gwen: "Trying to cheat already I see." (Courtney presses the button and reads the tip.)

Courtney: "Take the train to kalanchoi on the Mediterranean coast and search the station for the next travel tip."

Gwen: "Let's move!" (They ran for a minute until they saw a taxi.) "Taxi!"

The cab stops to let Gwen and Courtney in.

Driver: "Where to?"

Courtney: "To the train station!"

The driver gave a thumbs up and drove Like a madman. Courtney and Gwen were screaming. Three minutes gone by and the driver stopped.

Driver: "We're here, now scram!"

Gwen: "With pleasure."

After they slammed the door the driver sped off with the cops on his tail. They both ran in the subway station realizing they were the first team to arrive.

Courtney: "On the bright side the taxi driver got us here faster than we expected."

As Courtney said that both the Ice Dancers and Surfer Dudes arrived.

Josee: "No Way! Why Won't You Lose Already!"

Gwen: "Why did you follow them?"

Jacque: "Don't ignore us."

Brody: "Our strategy is pretty simple. Instead of figuring out to get somewhere ourselves, we just follow a team that's smarter than us. And everyone is smarter than us so yeah."

Courtney: "Do you think of that about yourself all the time?"

Brody: "Yeah pretty much."

Gwen: "That's just sad."

Geoff: "We know."

Josee finally snapped by being ignored and knocked Gwen out cold with a single punch.

Courtney: "What The Heck Is Wrong With You!"

Josee: "Nothing just cutting some obstacles."

Courtney instincts kicked in and she tackles Josee to the ground.

Courtney: "Nobody Messes With My Best Friend And Gets Away With It!!!"

Geoff runs over and tries to break up the fight with no luck while Brody and Jacque backed off terrified.

Brody: "Is she always like this?"

Jacque: "No she's more aggressive when she's ignored. I'm saying she's taking it pretty well."

Geoff: "Dudes I need help over hear like now!"

Jacque and Brody try to break the fight with Geoff. Brody and Geoff pull Courtney away from Josee while Jacque pulls Josee away from Courtney.

Josee: "Let Go!!!!"

Jacque: "Think of our fans."

Josee finally calmed down then gave Courtney the bird and walked off. Then both Father and Son and Best Friends have entered the train station to see Courtney and Josee covered in scratches and Gwen out cold.

Carrie: "Oh my gosh what happened in here?"

Geoff: "Josee knocked out Gwen and a fight broke out between Courtney and Josee."

Courtney: "Please tell me she'll be ok." (She said trying to hold back tears.)

Dwayne went to check on Gwen.

Dwayne: "I think she won't be helping you for the rest of the day."

Courtney finally broke down crying when Carrie was comforting her. Seconds later the train had arrived with the teams going in the train while Dwayne and Junior helped Gwen in the train.

5 minutes have gone by in the train and it was awkward silence with Courtney crying on Carries shoulder.

Devin: "Is she going to be alright?"

Geoff: "I don't know dude but one things for sure I wouldn't want to be the Ice Dancers about now."

Brody: "Why is it because Don will find out?"

Geoff: "Don should be the least of their problem. If I know Courtney she probably is holding a huge grudge on them about now."

Devin: "How long will her grudge last?"

Geoff: "Years."

Brody: "Oh wow I'd hate to be her enemy."

Carrie: "I'm sure she'll be alright."

Courtney: "I know I'm just worried about her. Last time we saw each other we left on bad terms. I'm just worried since we were just becoming friends again."

Carrie: "Listen Courtney there will be ups and downs when it comes to friendship trust me I know. But if you're a true friend to Gwen then your friendship will become stronger throughout the race."

Courtney: "Thanks Carrie I needed that."

Announcer: "The train has officially arrived to Mediterranean Coast everyone."

The five teams got out of the train with Dwayne carrying Gwen.

Dwayne: "There's the Don Box!" (Dwayne set Gwen down gently when he and Brody pressed the button.) "It's a Botch or Watch. Who's turn is it?"

Junior: "Yours, what's the challenge?"

Brody: "Who wants to swim with . . . SHARKS!!!???"

Courtney: "Why is it always sharks? How bad can it be?"

Two sharks poked their heads one waving to Courtney while the other was holding one specific bowl of an Ice Cream Sundae. Courtney gasped rubbing her hair remembering her elimination in All Stars.

Courtney: "Oh I've been waiting for my revenge on those sharks for ruining my hair. Geoff can you watch Gwen while I'm gone?"

Geoff: "No problem Courtney."

Courtney just nodded then turned to the sharks showing intention to kill and jumped into the ocean.

Geoff: "I almost feel bad for the sharks."

5 minutes have passed and Courtney finally got the tip with the shark swimming away in fear.

Courtney: "Shows what happens when you mess with me!"

Dwayne was doggy paddling with the tip to Courtney.

Dwayne: "What'd you do to the shark."

Courtney: "Let's just say that I gave the Shark a 'taste' of Dessert."

They both were swimming back to the shore

Dwayne: "Go Get A Bucket . . . . . . . We Gotta Build . . . . . . . A Castle!"

Courtney: "Read the rest for me."

Dwayne: "It says reading it before reuniting with your partner will result your team in a penalty . . . . . Darn It!"

They both finally made it to the shore almost out of breath. Courtney ran to Geoff and grabbed Gwen.

Courtney: "Thanks for watching over Gwen."

Geoff: "No Problem Courtney. Hope Brody makes it back soon."

Courtney was struggling to build the sandcastle on her own for 6 minutes while more teams were arriving. After another 2 minutes and she was done and signals the judge to come over. The kid walks over to Courtney looking at the castle for a moment and gave her the tip and a thumbs up. She sighed of relief and read the tip to herself. She was carrying Gwen to the boat slowly and drove off in the boat.

10 minutes passed and Courtney parked the boat saw Father and Son and Fashion Bloggers next to the Chill Zone.

Don: "Drama Stars you've made it 3rd place. However you broke a rule by building the sandcastle on your own instead of with . . . What happened with Gwen?"

Courtney: "Josee punched her in the face for no reason." (Tom and Jen gasped.)

Don: "I'll check the footage and if it's true then I'll drop the 20 minute penalty. Be right back."

Courtney: "How did you two get the Penalty?"

Tom: "We rode a Yacht."

Jen: "And partied with a Prince on a Yacht!"

Tom: "Don so wishes he was us right now."

Courtney: "Alrighty then. You both sound like you had fun."

Jen: "It was totally worth it."

Don: "Alright I'm back what you said was indeed true but I'm gonna have to ask to not attack the other teams. But since she started it I'll let it slide."

Courtney: "What about Gwen?"

Don: "We'll bring her to the infirmary unit she wakes up."

Courtney: "Alright then thanks."

Courtney entered the lobby to see the Ice Dancers blowing a Raspberry at Courtney. Noah and Owen saw Courtney and walked over to her.

Noah: "Where's Gwen?

Courtney: "She's in the infirmary."

Owen: "Oh No The Horror Aaaahhh..." (Noah slaps Owen to calm him down.) "Sorry."

Noah: "What happened to her?"

Courtney: "Josee over there knocked her out cold for no reason."

Josee: "Oh there is a reason."

Noah: "This should be interesting."

Josee: "She and Courtney was ignoring the true stars of the show."

Noah: "Oh no what are you going to do without your 5 minutes of fame!?" (Noah asked in horror in a sarcastic tone.)

The Ice Dancers growled at Noah with him rolling his eyes.

30 minutes have gone by and Geoff was the last to walk in without Brody looking worried.

Courtney: "Where's Brody?

Geoff: "Dude took one too shocks to that speed boat."

Don enters the the lobby with the remote.

Don: "I see everyone who could make it is present. Before I play the montage I would like to make one rule clear. Do Not Ever Harm Another Team For No Reason! Understand!!!??" (Everyone just nodded with the Ice Dancers looking nervous.) "Okay with that out of the way I'll play the video."

Don presses the Button to show the Ellody spitting out a fly. Next it show Ellody and Laurie naming all the spices. Then it shows the Geniuses telling the taxi driver where to go. Last it shows a wave ruining their data.

Don: "Wow not much they've done to impress us all. I'm sure they'll be an audience favorite. Ice Dancers a moment with me? Everyone else can go get dinner. After I'm done talking to you two I'll have to fly a helicopter to the Geniuses to inform them about their elimination."

The Ice Dancers gulped in fear.

Courtney went to get her dinner and walked over to Owen and Noah.

Courtney: "Mind if I eat with you guys tonight?"

Owen: "Of course you can eat with us."

Courtney: "Thanks. Listen Noah I just wanted to thank you for for standing up to me earlier."

Noah: "No problem. They were annoying us about how they were better than us."

The Goths walked over to Courtney.

Crimson: "Is your partner like going to survive?"

Ennui: "Yeah it'll suck if you guys leave early."

Courtney: "Don told me she'll be alright. She just needs some rest."

Ennui: "Cool."

The goths left after hearing the news.

Courtney: "Here Owen I'm not that hungry tonight."

Owen: "Thanks Courtney you're a life saver. I thought I was going to starve."

Noah: "You haven't even touched your plate yet Owen."

Courtney just giggles and walks over to Geoff.

Courtney: "Is Brody going to be okay?"

Geoff: "Don says it'll be a day until he's 100% responsive."

Courtney: "I wish you two luck on tomorrow's challenge."

Geoff: "Thanks Courtney. You know you've really changed since World Tour. First you were a total party pooper and now you're totally fun to be around again."

Courtney: "Thanks Geoff I'm trying to be a better person. I'm gonna go to bed now. If you see Gwen till her I hope she gets better."

Geoff gives a thumbs up and Courtney goes up to her room to go to bed.

Well I hoped you enjoyed this chapter.

I bet you were surprised that Gwen wasn't going to do much this chapter. I did that so I could both build some characters and be a bit original with the story.
