chocolate: Ohayo minna! This will be my third story that I'll be working
on.
Kasumi: You really should delete A NEW START.
Chocolat: Maybe. I might fix the first chapter and continue it later.
Kasumi: I'll do the disclaimer. Chocolat does not own Sailor Moon or Pokemon. Thank god.
Chocolat: What do you mean 'thank god'? Meanie. Here's the first chapter of A New Breed.
Kasumi: You forgot to say the couples! Usagi/Mamoru, Brock/Makoto, Motoki/Minako, Greg/Ami, and Rei/Lee (OC).
Chocolat: thanks.
The New Breed
Prologue
Soft clicks resounded through a sterile white hallway. An aged man, wearing a lab coat, was walking down the empty hallway, clipboard in hand. He walked past the plain white doors lining the hallway; his destination, a large sound proof door, straight ahead of him at the end of the silent hall. He stopped in front of the door and stared at it. Mentally gathering strength, he took a deep breath, grasped the door handle and opened the door. He was immediately greeted be loud pained screams and the sight of a young girl, about 16, strapped down onto a metal table. A younger scientist was injecting some sort of light violet liquid into her arm. The girl's crystal blue eyes were wide open, glazed, in pain and her ankle length silvery blonde hair pooled over the table, onto the floor. "How many more injections?"
The scientist by the girl finished injecting the odd liquid before looking up at his superior. "That was the last one for this girl. The others just need one more."
The younger of the two scientists ran a tired hand through his graying, once brown, hair. "This is wrong. They're being put through so much pain and they'll go through so much in testing when the changes occur."
The elder sighed, wishing he had never gotten mixed up with this. "I know, I feel the same, but Giovanni wants us to do this. We can't do anything except follow his orders."
The two became silent as they un-strapped the now unconscious girl and carefully picked her up. They carried her to another room off to the side that had padded walls, ceiling, and floor. It was empty, except for the four other girls inside. The raven haired girl and the brunette glared at the scientists hatefully as they laid their friend down near them. Their loathing glares didn't leave the two men until they shut the door and were out of sight. The quite blue haired girl crawled over to the small, sleeping blonde and looked over her for any injuries. The other blonde also crawled over looking worried. "Is she okay? What did they do to her?"
"She's just sleeping Minako. They had put another injection into her. It should be the last. I'll probably be next."
The girls became silent as they waited for the inevitable opening of the door. Makoto gently laid Usagi's head on her lap and ran her fingers through the petite girl's bangs. Just five minutes later the younger scientist came in, immediately pinned by two blazing glares, and motioned for Ami to come with him, careful to stay away from the brunette and the fiery-eyed girls. Ami quietly sighed, got up, and followed the man out of the room.
The room was then engulfed in a tense silence and they waited with dread for the screams and eventually the sight of a second unconscious friend. When the screams came, Minako squeezed her eyes shut and covered her ears with her hands. Makoto clenched her hands into fist and glared at the door and Rei just stared into space, knees pulled up to her chest. The door opened again ten minutes later and Ami was brought in unconscious. She was laid down next to Usagi and Rei was told to come. All of the girls were unconscious a half hour later, lying on the soft padded floor.
In the main room the two scientists were cleaning the instruments they used. "When will we give the last shots to the five males?"
The elder scientist looked warily at the door on the side of the room opposite of where the girls were kept. "We might as well do them now."
"Okay. Which color did the first one get?"
"Black for Umbreon."
"Right."
