"Victoria!"

It was nearing the Christmas holidays, and the students were all bundled up to try and fight the bitter winds of winter.

Victoria turned to see who was calling her. It was Blaise, and he was with two other students, both looked to be around their age, one was a boy with soft brown hair and hazel eyes with a pale complexion. The other was a girl with darker skin, hair as black as coal, and yet her eyes were a striking blue.

"Hi, Blaise, what's going on?"

"I want you to meet a couple friends of mine. This is Quincy and Lynette, they're stepsiblings, transfers from Beauxbatons."

"France?" Victoria looked at them in surprise. "What made you decide to come here, if you don't mind my asking."

"Our parents thought that Hogwarts would be a better fit for us," Quincy explained.

"Quincy, Lynette, this is Victoria Les- er, Weasley."

"Nice save there," Victoria muttered under her breath.

"Weasley?" Lynette looked at her curiously. "Would you be of any relation to Arthur Weasley?"

"He's my dad actually, why?"

"My stepfather has mentioned him once or twice, I think that they worked on an international case a few years ago together."

"Wait, is your stepdad Francois Van Damme?"

"The one and only."

"My father has mentioned him too, said that he was one of the best partners that he ever worked with, wished your father would come to England so that they could work together more often."

"That might happen sooner than you might think." Quincy piped up. "Dad is talking about moving to England because the French Ministry has gone to shit these days."

"Quincy!" Lynette chided him, hitting him on the shoulder, causing the boy to yelp in mock pain, and Victoria couldn't help but laugh because it reminded her of herself and Ron.

"So what houses are you guys in?"

"Quincy is in Slytherin, I'm a Hufflepuff myself."

"Slytherin is an okay house, you'll love Hufflepuff though, everyone there is really nice."

"I wish Slytherin was like that, there's a few kids that are okay, but others like that blonde kid are total pricks."

"That would be Draco Malfoy." Victoria said with a laugh. "Don't worry about him, he's a total wuss, the worse that he's going to do to you is threaten to tell his father."

"Oh, he's done that already." Quincy said, rolling his eyes. "He acted like that would make us scared or something."

"Like I said, don't worry about him, he can't do any real damage, if he could then I would already be dead or expelled."

"I'm surprised that you aren't dead anyway." Blaise snorted. "Especially since you decided that you were going to take on a troll on Halloween."

"What?!" Lynette's eyes grew to the size of saucers.

"He's overexagerrating." Victoria assured them. "My friend and I were in the bathroom Halloween night and the troll just barged in." She tapped her skull. "I got knocked around pretty good, wouldn't surprise me if I have some permanent damage up there, there's some days where I get pretty bad headaches, and there's also times where I don't remember things."

It was something that she probably should have been worried about, but hey, she was a kid, they all forgot things sometimes, right?

"You two should come over on Christmas break." Quincy said. "I think that the four of us could have a lot of fun together, and where we live, there's all kinds of places to explore."

"Sure, why not?" Victoria responded. "I wasn't planning on going home for Christmas anyway, my mum and dad are going to be visiting my brother Charlie in Romania, and even if they weren't, I don't think that my mum would care all that much anyway, she doesn't seem to care all that much about me since I've gotten sorted into Slytherin."

"Well that's a shame, because I think that you're a great person." Lynette said, and Victoria smiled softly. "Thanks. We had better get to class, but this weekend let's plan Christmas."

Ron and the twins were a bit disappointed that Victoria wasn't going to be spending Christmas at the castle with them, but they didn't fight her on it, either.

"You better write us lots of letters." Fred told her. "We heard that Quincy and Lynette's parents are loaded." George added. "You'll probably drink from goblets of gold and eat off of china plates."

"Dramatic much? Honestly, you're acting like they're like the Malfoys or something."

"From what we've heard, they've got about as much as they do or more."

"Just don't forget us poor folk." Harry chimed in, causing Victoria to laugh. "Oh come on, not you too, I think that you've been hanging around the twins too much."

"It's kind of hard not to when they follow me everywhere."

"I always knew that they were stalkers. You two should be ashamed of yourselves."

"We're just trying to train him." George said in defense. "Someone needs to take up the mantle after we graduate, and who better then Harry Potter?"

"You two are awful, probably why I love you so much."

The two twins enveloped her in a bear hug. "Don't come back all hoity-toity now." Fred ruffled her hair, and Victoria wriggled her way out of the hug. "If anything, I'm going to come back with a jinx to get the two of you to stop messing with my hair, it gets wild enough as it is without the two of you messing it up."

"You better pack, Victoria." Harry added. "Christmas break is only a few days away."

"You're right, I'll see you guys later." Victoria ran off towards the dorms, unaware that trouble would be waiting for her, and that trouble was named Pansy Parkinson.
