Chapter 1: Dark Mark

Andi Kogo walked slowly back to her small house. She really didn't want to go home. She didn't want to go back home to her abusive father. She didn't want to hurt anymore. Why didn't she just leave? She knew, every time she threatened to leave, her father would say he loves her and promises never to hurt her anymore, " Not like that ever lasted," Andi said to herself. This how is happens with her father, he would say he loves her so much and would buy her something expensive, but the next night he would go out after a long stressful day of work, and get drunk. And when he is drunk, you can't do anything in front of him, I mean, she couldn't even cough in front of him. She knew she just had to go back.

Really the only reason she stays is for her sister Emily. She loves her 8-year-old sister so much, but Andi knew Emily would never leave the house, even if she offered her the world. The only reason Emily wouldn't leave the house is because it was the last house their mother lived in before she died, that's when their father started hitting Andi. She had to go back home, for Emily. She needed Andi.

Overall, Andi was an extremely beautiful teen. Her perfect black curls, set off her pale skin, and ruby red lips. Andi was about 5'4 and was very skinny, but not bony. Her eyes were her best feature, solid emerald green with a single silver ring in the middle. On her lower back was a tattoo of a snake going up a rose with the saying 'innocent', in fancy lettering.

Toady she looked especially pretty, she had on a green tube top, with white see-through material on the bottom. She also had on a white ruffled mini with green polka dots, which showed off her great legs and green converse.

As Andi slowly walked around her corner, something was telling her to look up, but when she looked up, she wanted to die. There, hovering above her house, was the dark mark.
