Walking through the forest was a soothing experience for Raven. She just walked out on Taiyang after another fight and needed to clear her head. She was absolutely Furious, not only with him but the rest of her team as well.

Taiyang was, well Taiyang. A farm guy from the island of patch who came to Beacon with a dream and then proceeded to graduate as a member of one of the best teams in their year. He was a big guy with a even bigger heart and a great dad to Yang to boot. However he was a bit dense and stubborn as an Ox. In the recent days their fights had always been about the same thing: Ravens last mission. When Raven had given her report to Oz bin he had looked at her like she was telling them that the unicorn that shits rainbows was real. She had known that would have been his reaction. It was simply too absurd to horrific that somebody would do such a thing. much less ordered by their former mentor.

It did not help matters that Summer had started trying to flirt with him again. She had, after Raven had made her intent clear to leave the group, immediately launched into one of her Holier than thou speeches. But Raven was having none of that. She told her off And walked out of the Room. In the recent days their relationship had continued to decline after summer had repeatedly tried to talk her into "Returning to the Good Side" and "Patch up Bridges". In her mind she was probably deserting to Salems forces like some of the Characters in summers Folktales. That apparently made Taiyang fair game. Summer had been obsessed with him during beacon and had only begrudged accepted that raven, and he where dating. now that she had apparently betrayed her team she tough that raven would just give up her Husband.

She had not heard of crow since the episode in oz bins office. Apparently the old wizard had been sending him onto loads of missions against Salems forces. He was Supposed to be back two days ago but for some unknown reason he had called and told her he would be late. He only said that it was important.

So there Raven was alone in the forest damming the world, the gods and the Wizard who landed her in this situation.

Have i ever mentioned how much i hate Forests at night. Well now i have. You can't see anything, There's always a lot of noise with all the creepy crawlies around and everytime some larger animal moves in the underbrush i get a heart attack.

I especially hate forests in the middle of god knows where, in the night, while my PDA is not working. at least normal you know when you are about to come across the road which leads to the next semi save pace where you can get a place to sleep dry, a meal of semiquestianable quality and your gear maintained. So i am now here walking beneath that shattered moon, still occasionally glaring up or swearing at it as if that would teleport me to cordon and make my headache go away.

So here i am walking trough a forest on what might as well be another world, in the dead of night with no idea where to go or what to do now. Needless to say my mood is not exactly amazing even if this is not the weirdest or worst thing that ever happened to me. The time i went into Agroprom underground comes to mind but still i am not exactly happy to be in this position.

Suddenly i hear a Branch breaking. I Spin around hoping that its just some animal. There, in the darkness there are several red dots, looking at me. 'Please dont be Bloodsuckers','Please dont be Bloodsuckers!', i think to myself.

They where, in fact, not bloodsuckers.

When raven heard the explosion she did not think much. Huntsman where common on patch after all. It was possible that one of them was doing some grimm hunting for the local government or just for training. There was also the possibility that somebody had accidentally set of the dust storage of a generator. If that was the case she hoped it was the one of that dick Kevin. She chuckled to herself as she continued walking down the road.

She finally felt like calming down. The moon shone brightly showering the Forest in its pale light. Everything was calm and peaceful. There was almost no noise except the trees in the soft breeze and, if you listed closely, the far of noise of the city of patch.

suddenly there was a growl behind her. From the bush that flanked the dirt road that connected a few of the cottages and farms around patch with the city an Alpha Beowulf trotted. It was Large for its kind, its body covered in plates of bone. Its body was littered with scars, the marks of many slash wounds, stabs and gunshots visible on its body. however, its most prominent feature was that t only had a single eye. It rose to its hind legs.

Raven drew omen. For a view tense seconds both combatants seemed to size each other up. then, with a mighty roar, the alpha launched itself into battle.

Raven ducked beneath the massive fist that came her way. She twisted upward attempting to hit the underside of the grims arm. But its armor was to thick, as all that did was leave a large gash and break her blade. The alpha backhanded her, sending her flying across the road and crashing into the trunk of a tree.

Groaning in pain Raven slowly rose to her feet. Her aura had taken a massive hit. If she hadn't had it she would have turned a nice piece of modern art. She mustered the Beast that was now once again turning towards her. Her blade had barely made a scratch. She needed a plan and she needed one fast.

The Beowulf charged her once again. But this time Raven leaped over it and attacked its neck, using the force of the strike to land behind her adversary. But the result of that was another broken blade. The two slashes she took at its back befell a similar fate as the lumbering beast once again turned towards her.

Suddenly raven noticed something. A large Gash in the Alphas armor around its left shoulder. Clearly some huntsman had tried and failed to take the beast down. The armor was Split in half, exposing skin beneath it. With a new goal in mind she leapt at the Monster attempting to stab at the weak spot. However the Alpha seemed to have anticipated this Raising an arm to shield itself causing raven to harmlessly bounce off. The Beasts intelligence clearly showing trough all the savagery and blood lust.

Then she had an idea. It was a gamble, yes but it could work. As the Beowulf charged her again she stood her ground then as the claws where about to strike her she rolled beneath them and drove her blade towards the weak spot. This however caused the massive Grimms body to collide with her at full speed.

The Force of the impact sent the air out of ravens lungs. However her gamble seemed to have worked as the Beowulf came to a stop shortly thereafter, omen stuck in its left shoulder.

Had she done it.

Had she killed that thing?

These thoughts of Joy where quickly replaced with shock as the Alpha started to close its arms on her. From the outside it seemed like the beast was giving her a hug. If hugs could squash a person that is.

Raven could feel her aura go down and her ribs starting to crack under the Monsters imense strength.

In one last atemt to emerge victorious raven took every sliver of aura she had remaining and pushed it towards the dust in her blade.

The resulting explosion tore the Monsters arm off as raven pulled what remained of omen free and rammed it trough its now exposed neck straight into its heart. As her consciousness started to fade she noticed how the alpha began slowly turning to dust.

Hello Piton here. I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter. This was honestly a Pain to write since i am more inclined to write combat as two snipers taking potshots an one another. I also had some problems with power leveling since i needed raven to get injured without making her look like a pushover. As for the Structure of this story: we mostly have nikita doing things from his POV and then the Affects that has on the world around him and then his interpretation of the effects (Hes a stalker not some omnipresent god).

I wish you a nice day/nigth this is Pitonone signing out
