LULLABY ARC PART 2: Friends
Xiao-Long Temporary Household (Morning)
Amara had woken up to find herself still in Dominic's house. Specifically, a bedroom with bright pink walls and toys littered about the floor. However, the thing that stuck out most was the set of red eyes gazing at her from the edge of her bed. These eyes belonged to a girl slightly older than her with grey hair and a small horn on her forehead. In her arms, she held what looked like a plush toy animal with beige skin and a crudely drawn face.
"Hello." Amara said nervously, trying to cover herself with the blanket.
"Are you Mr. Dominic's friend?" the red-eyed girl asked, tilting her head to the side. While Amara didn't notice, the doll mimicked the action.
"Uh, I think." the purplette responded, still trying to make herself small. "What's your name?"
"I'm Eri. This is Mimikyu." Amara's eyes widened in shock when the doll extended a pitch-black arm from underneath itself, holding it out for her to shake. "Don't be scared. Mimikyu's nice!" Eri said, cuddling the Pokemon, eliciting a squeak from it.
Unsure of herself, Amara took the Disguise Pokemon's claw. 'It's soft.' she noticed as her hand made contact with the appendage. She then looked down in what seemed to be embarrassment.
"What's wrong?" Eri asked as Mimikyu pulled it's arm back into it's Disguise.
"Can... Can I hold it?" Amara asked shyly. Before Eri could answer, Mimikyu jumped into the girl's arms, chittering happily.
"Hehe. I think it likes you." Eri said with a smile.
UA (Day)
Dominic watched in confusion as the doorway for his class was being blocked by dozens of other students. "What the heck is this?" Dominic asked, standing in front of the horde of teenagers.
"What business do you have with Class A?" Iida asked.
"Yeah, why'd you come here?" Mineta added.
Strangely, it was Bakugo who answered the question. "Scouting out the enemy, small fry." he said to the short boy as he walked past him. "We're the ones who made it out of a villain attack. They probably want to check us out before the sports festival." He then approached the crowd. "There's no point in doing stuff like that. Out of my way, extras!"
That got Dominic's attention. 'Wait, can he see the Fourth Wall too?' the blonde wondered. He'd need to test this later. As he contemplated throwing Bakugo into a reality-breaking experiment, he sensed a familiar, yet unknown presence in the crowd. Turning his head, he saw a boy with shaggy purple hair and sunken purple eyes.
"I came here to see what the famous Class A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant." he said to Bakugo. "Are all students in the Hero Course like this? Seeing something like this makes me disillusioned."
'Is this guy who I think he is?' Dominic wondered, his eye glowing a soft red.
"There are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn't make it into the hero course. Did you know that?" the boy asked. "The school has left those of us a chance. Depending on the results of the sports festival, they'll consider our transfer into the hero course. And it seems they may also transfer people out."
'Harsh, but fair.' Dominic thought to himself, looking down at Mineta.
"Scouting out the enemy?" the boy said, repeating Bakugo's words. "I, at least, came to say that even if you are in the hero course, if you get too carried away, I'll sweep your feet out from under you. I came with a declaration of war."
Xiao-Long Temporary Household (Day)
After that, everyone in Class 1A trained harder than ever before to assure that they won the sports festival. Dominic in particular was working to train all of his Pokemon's best traits to help him attain victory. However, since the festival was in a few days, he was forced to cram a day's worth of training into five hours.
In the training room he had built into his house, he watched as dozens of his Pokemon sparred against eachother to hone their skills.
Charizard and Regirock were battling again, with the Flame Pokemon flying around the battlefield to dodge Stone Edge and Hyper Beam. While in midair, Charizard unleashed a Fire Blast, engulfing it's opponent in flames.
Chesnaught and Aegislash were testing eachothers' defense by attacking Spiky Shield and King's Shield, with Chesnaught using Pin Missle and Aegislash using Shadow Ball. Knowing how strong his classmates were, especially Kirishima and Bakugo, Dominic chose this kind of training. Especially since Bakugo's explosions could severely damage both Pokemon.
Infernape, Coviknight, Latios, and Blaziken were racing around the room, trying to figure out which of the four was fastest. Unfortunately, even Dominic's Arc Phone was unable to track them. "Piece of junk." the blonde said, pocketing the device. "Damn thing has Google Maps and can make me teleport, but can't keep track of four Pokemon that move at mach speed."
Grimmsnarl and Incineroar were wrestling with eachother, both using Darkest Lariat at certain intervals. Eventually, Grimmsnarl won by using Spirit Break.
Gyarados was purposefully taking Pikachu's Thunderbolt to increase it's resistance to Electric-Type Moves. Kaminari, while a moron, was frighteningly strong when it came to these kind of attacks.
Dominic smiled as he watched his Pokemon train. While this 'Mass Training' was unusual for his team, they had gotten used to it quite fast. Honestly, it was amazing to behold. After it was all over, he sat on the living room couch and drank a bottle of oil, which set his hair alight. Charizard walked over to him before passing out on the couch. "Good job. You and the others already make me proud to call myself your Trainer. And soon, that training will pay off." He put a hand on Charizard's snout before covering his partner with a blanket.
AN: Not my best work. But, things should pick up in the next chapter, when the sports festival actually starts.
