Those were the last words I heard her say before I watched her fly away into the dark summer night. Her first, and last lie. I wanted to believe her words, that she would be back in a few days at the most. But part of me knew it wasn't true. I could tell in her eyes that she knew it too.
She had been asked to come to Tamaran by Gailfore a few days before. She said she just had to take care of some business but I didn't believe her. When she said goodbye to us she said it like it was our last goodbye. And I never got to tell her how I feel, and now its too late. Starfire is dead.
