The hood hung just above her head, so everyone thought that she was a young, small boy. No one would ever suspect a young boy, looking so innocent to have murdered anyone, right?
Even if it was just an accident.
She never meant to.
It all just happened too quickly. One minute she was throwing fists, the next…
The memories all rushed back.
All too painful to bear. She hid from them.
She knew hiding didn't solve anything, yet she still hid.
She had to get away.
Away from problems.
From her family and friends.
Away from her life.
She hurried onto the train, hoping it would take her far away from her past and her problems, leading to a new future.
What's the matter freak? Afraid to fight me?
She flinched at the sound of his voice inside of her mind.
She had not meant to use her power.
All just an accident.
Everyone directing things at her.
Looking.
Staring.
Blaming.
Grabbing.
If she had not ran she'd be in a cell with others that had the same problem.
She told them it
wasn't a problem.
It was a gift.
A horrid gift now.
She remembered when she used to look upon her gift with pride.
Now it was a curse.
A burden she had no choice but to bear.
The train began to move.
She looked to the window.
All of her childhood memories flew away.
She didn't want to leave them, but she had to.
Ever since she was little she knew that her destiny would be great, but she couldn't understand how it could be great now.
She had killed him.
She hadn't meant to.
All just an accident.
She let out a horrid scream, remembering his pale face staring at her.
Not moving.
Not breathing.
Not living.
She looked on the train for somewhere to run.
No where.
People were staring.
Watching.
Looking.
Just like before.
She curled up into a small ball on her seat.
They still stared.
Just like the people who stared after she killed him.
Tears streamed down her face.
Her father looked so disappointed.
Her mother could not bear to look at her. The thought of her daughter being a mutant made her upset and angry.
Her little sister wouldn't hug her anymore, but instead run away screaming whenever she walked into the room.
Only her brother would look at her.
Her brother knew what it was like.
He had watched his best friend get stabbed when he was younger.
He understood it was an accident.
Her brother was one too.
Their powers weren't that different.
When he heard they might arrest her…
He was the one who suggested it.
He was the one who bought her her ticket.
He was the one who loved her.
She hadn't meant to.
All just an accident.
Memories kept creeping up on her, silently.
Some were good.
Most were bad.
She saw herself getting punched by the boy.
Then she was thrown to the floor.
He had started to kick her.
It was instinct to let her power come in…
They would've locked her up.
Never to see daylight again.
She had no clue where the train was taking her. Her brother forgot to tell her.
The last thing he told her was 'I love you, and don't you ever forget it'.
And she wouldn't.
She wouldn't…
