Cynder looked aimlessly around, to find that the Academy was in ruins. He saw the gloomy atmosphere, and the fallen rubble of the Academy. She decided to search the place, and see if she could find anyone else around the place. Cynder flew aimlessly through the ruins, but found no one else in the entire place. She eventually heard what sounded like a fight, and looked off into the distance, seeing two figures battling each other in the sky. She took off and flew towards the fight, before she saw one of the fighters get thrown to the ground. She flew to his aid, and when close enough, she was able to figure that it was Spyro who had been thrown to the ground. She flew to his side, and ran her paw over the unconscious dragon's head, getting a cough from him in response. She then looked up to Spyro's opponent, who was something she never thought she'd see. He was a dark being, taking the form of Spyro, though his scales were black and silver. Cynder looked closer, and saw that he had a necklace around his neck, with a pendant, representing the symbol of Malefor. This dark figure then opened his mouth, and out came a jet of purple flames, coming towards her and Spyro. Cynder then shot awake, noticing that those events were just a nightmare, she curled up, traumatized from her dream.

Cynder: "It's okay, it was just a nightmare. There can't be two Spyros."-Cynder said to herself

She then heard a knock on the door, which snapped her out of her trans. She then gets up, and sees Flashwing burst through the door.

Flashwing: "Cynder, are you okay?"-asked Flashwing, concerned

Cynder: "What? Yeah, I'm fine."-Cynder lied-"It was, just a nightmare."

Flashwing: "Okay, if you say so."-said Flashwing, not entirely convinced-"So, come on, it's time for breakfast."

Cynder then followed Flashwing, as they made their way down stairs. It had been one week since they became Skylanders, and all the graduates had already been sorted into their respective teams. Cynder and Flashwing then made it the kitchen, to see Hex, Skull and Food Fight all at the table, while Wind-Up was at the stove, flipping pancakes. Cynder and Flashwing then sat down, and got ready for breakfast. It was silent, until Food Fight finally spoke up.

Food Fight: "So, who's excited for our day of guard duty, today?"-asked Food Fight, excited

Skull: "Wait, guard duty?!"-Skull asked and stated in shock-"Who said anything about guard duty?"

Hex: "Skull, we've been over this."Hex reminded-"The new Skylanders have to serve one day of guard duty, at Cloudcracker Prison!"

Wind-Up: "Yep, it introduces us to the worst of the worst."-said Wind-Up, while passing everyone a plate of pancakes.

After passing everyone's pancakes, Wind-Up sat down, and everyone started eating. Cynder, still traumatized from her dream, ate slightly slower than everyone else, which concerned the rest of her team.

Wind-Up: "Hey, are you okay?"-asked Wind-Up, concerned

Cynder: "What? Er...yes I'm fine. I just had a weird dream!"

Food Fight: "I had a weird dream too!"-said Food Fight loosing focus-"It was where I had a cowboy-style shooting duel against Trigger Happy, and...why is everyone looking at me like that?"

He said this, implying to how Wind-Up, Flashwing, Hex and Skull all looked at him, with frowns and raised eyebrows.

Hex: "Anyway, don't worry about it, I know nightmares, and they are always just a dream."-Hex said in reassurance

Cynder: "Your right."-said Cynder, moved-"Thanks guys."

Skull: "Any time."

Everyone then returns to eating breakfast, wanting to eat before they had to go to Cloudcracker Prison, for guard duty.

Intro: Harmony

At Cloudcracker Prison, Cynder's team had taken about a one hour trip, but finally arrived. They arrived at the front gate, Snapshot waiting at the front gate to greet them.

Snapshot: "Welcome to Cloudcracker Prison, rookies."-said Snapshot, seriously-"Now, as you all know, it is required for new Skylanders to spend one day of guard duty. So, follow me!"

Snapshot then led the Skylanders through the prison, in which they saw various guards and prisoners, lurking throughout the prison, they could even see higher ranked criminals like the doom raiders, and Kaos in this prison, remembering why crimes hadn't been so harmful lately. Though they decided to stop looking at the prisoners, and just continued their path towards Snapshot's office. They had arrived in Snapshot's office, Snapshot going to the front, as the five Skylanders lined up to hear his briefing.

Snapshot: "Alright, now for a quick briefing on how to work your day of guard duty. First off, you will each need one of these!"-said Snapshot, handing each of them a badge-"These are the badges for guards, if you see an inmate acting out of line, just tap the button, and said inmate will be temporarily frozen."

Skull: "Oh, I have got to try that."-said Skull, tapping himself against the button on Hex's badge

It turns out that by pushing the button, Skull froze a random inmate who was eating his soup.

Inmate: "Not again!"-said the inmate, annoyed

Skull tried to tap it again, before Snapshot grabbed hold of him.

Snapshot: "That's enough, Skull! Tapping that button twice will send an inmate to solitary confinement, otherwise know as 'the hole'!"-said Snapshot in a deep voice

Wind-Up: "Wow, was that your scary voice?"-asked Wind-Up, enthusiastically

Snapshot: "It was, and if you ask me, 'the hole', would be a great name for a prison movie."-said Snapshot, getting back on task-"Now, I made this mistake before, but not this time, do NOT send all the doom raiders to the whole at once. Got that?"

Cynder: "Got it, don't send all the doom raiders to the hole at once."

Snapshot: "Excellent, now for the manuals."-said Snapshot, handing the Skylanders some little cards

Food Fight: "This is it?"-asked Food Fight, disappointed-"I think we can handle these!"

Snapshot: "No, those are fifty percent off coupons for Birdbath and Beyond. I get about ten a day, and they're filling up my wallet. These are the manuals!"-said Snapshot, setting down a stack of five, large books-"Now, off to guard duty!"

In the lower cell block, the doom raiders gathered around, angry with what had happened to them.

Chef Pepperjack: "Man, this is just great!"-said Pepperjack, sarcastic-"We end up here, back in prison!"

Chompy Mage: "The worst part is that this time, we have these bracelets on, and can't use our powers!"-'Yeah, and what makes it even worse, is that we have to keep staring at the bald, dwarf!'-"Shut up, Chompy Puppet."

Golden Queen: "Now now, doom raiders, this isn't entirely a problem!"-said Golden Queen, in reassurance-"I already have two accomplices, that will get us out in only a few hours."

Wolfgang: "And when will they be here?"

Golden Queen: "Patients, Wolfgang! They are the most reliable criminals I could find!

Down in the hole, there were two shadowed over figures, and at least twenty barrels of orange soda with them.

???1: "Alright, we have it. This plan is going perfectly!"

???2: "Is it time for soda yet?"

???1: "I already told you, you will get your soda when the time is right!"

At the Academy, at about five o'clock, the main group of Skylanders was called in by Kaossandra. They made it to her study, Kaossandra standing up as they made it to her.

Pop Fizz: "Alright, we're here!"-stated Pop Fizz, exhausted-"So what's the trouble?"

Kaossandra: "Well, for the past few hours, there have been blackouts all over Skylands!"-said Kaossandra, seriously-"I've already sent most other teams to most blackout locations, and you are to go to the most recent one, Stonetown! Think you can handle it?"

Jet-Vac: "We've got this!"-said Jet-Vac, prepared-"Skylanders unite!"

The four then leave the Academy, and set towards the superchargers. They then get into their respective superchargers, and take off towards Stonetown.

They arrived after thirty minutes of traveling, and saw what looked like town, but was very dark, and there were mabu fleeing like their lives depended on it. The Skylanders then got down from their vehicles, and stopped one terrified mabu, as he tried to run away.

Jet-Vac: "Excuse me sir, do you know what caused this blackout?"-asked Jet-Vac

Mabu: "I've got no idea."-said the mabu, freaking out-"All I know is that someone went towards the candy store?"

The mabu then ran away, leaving the Skylanders puzzles.

Eruptor: "Who would rob a candy store?"-asked Eruptor, confused

Stealth Elf: "I don't know, but we still have to find out!"

They then set off towards the candy store, which appeared to have an open door. They then walk into the candy store, finding that there was no one in the store, just candy and piñatas spilled everywhere. They walk in, searching around, but found nothing in the store. Eruptor then looked to the pile, just as he saw something move in it. Eruptor then yelped, causing everyone else to look in his direction.

Jet-Vac: "Eruptor, what is?"-asked Jet-Vac

Eruptor: "I saw something move!"-said Eruptor, getting scared.

They all then look, before own peculiar piñata jumps up, pulling a lollipop-mace. He swung his mace, hitting Eruptor across the room. Stealth Elf then runs towards the piñata, but he through her onto Eruptor. Jet-Vac and Pop Fizz tried to attack him, but they also ended up on the pile. The piñata them hurled candy at them, and it started to form a cage. The Skylanders then look to see the candy cage around them.

???: "Hahahaha, feel the wrath of Pain-Yatta."

They look in shock as Pain-Yatta started gathering candy into a box.

Pop Fizz: "You think a cage made of candy will stop us?"-asked Pop Fizz, biting the cage-"Ow my teeth!"

Pain-Yatta: "Ha, this cage is made of tooth breakers, sugar crystals and the error of all sweets...black licorice."-stated Pain-Yatta, gloating-"It softens after about an hour, but I have time to escape! Catch you losers later!"

Pain-Yatta then gathers up the candy, and gets into a piñata-like car, and drives off. The Skylanders are then left annoyed, growling as they pace around the cage, though they noticed something crawling around them. Stealth Elf reaches out, and grabs what appeared to be a small, spider-like robot, with a top hat on it. She holds it out, and Jet-Vac takes it.

Jet-Vac: "I know who did this!"-stated Jet-Vac-"There's no time to explain, we have to get out of this cage!"

At Cloudcracker Prison, guard duty had treated the other Skylanders surprisingly well. They got to escort the prisoners, and even freeze them a few times. Though what they didn't realize, was what was going on down in the hole.

???2: "Is it time for soda yet?"

???1: "Almost, just wait for the lights to go off."

The first criminal then pulled out three spider-like robots, with hats on them. The robots then crawl away, making their way towards the electrical systems, and breaking through them. In a matter of seconds the power went out. The two criminals notice this, as own removes the lid from a barrel of soda.

???2: "Now?"

???1:"Yes, drink my slimy friend. Drink."

The Skylanders all gather around, nervous of the fact that the lights went out.

Snapshot: "This is bad!"-said Snapshot, worried-"With the power out, the inmates could escape!"

Flashwing: "I know, let's just use the badges."

They all press the buttons on their badges, but to their surprise, nothing happened. As it turns out, the badges need power to work, and because the power was out, they didn't work.

Skull: "What's going on?"

Snapshot: "They need power to work!"-said Snapshot, seriously-"Looks like we'll have to..."

He was cut off, as they all felt the ground start to shake under their feet. They look to the middle of the room, noticing the floor start to break through. They look to see what appeared to be a massive, blue slug, that only got bigger as it drank more soda.

Kaboom: "Gulper?!"-said Kaboom, surprised

Gulper: "That's right, Gulper busting doom raiders out!"-said the Gulper, swinging his trident towards Kaboom. Snapshot jumps, and gets Kaboom out of the way of the trident hit. The five Skylanders then jump in to try and take care of the Gulper.

In the cell block with all the most dangerous criminals, a guard ran down to start securing their cells. Though just as he pulled out his keys, he was trapped against the wall, by some sort of sticky, green slime. He looked up to see his keys get picked up by a green-skinned man, in a red suit and hat, with robotic, spider legs and a goo blaster in his hand. The odd man then walks towards the doom raiders.

Golden Queen: "Ah, Dr. Krankcase."-said the Golden Queen, pleasantly-"I trust you had no trouble getting here."

Dr. Krankcase: "No trouble at all."-Dr. Krankcase, responded-"Now let's see about those cuffs!"

Dr. Krankcase unlocked the doom raiders' cells, and removed their power restraining bracelets, one by one. He repeated the process, until all the doom raiders were free. He then threw down the keys, as they made their way out of that prison. Unnoticed by them however, the keys landed only inches away from Kaos and Glumshanks' cell, so Kaos began to reach for them. The guard then managed to reach his com, and contacted Snapshot.

The Skylanders battled against the Gulper, who was doing more to knock down the walls, then he was to hit them. Snapshot loaded his traptanium bow, before his com beeped from a guard.

Guard: "Sir, the doom raiders are escaping!"-said the guard, panicked-"Oh, now the rest of the criminals are escaping from their cells."

Snapshot: "Everybody ready."-said Snapshot-"We must not let them escape!"

Dr. Krankcase then comes up and shoots his slime towards Kaboom, leaving him stuck to the wall. Snapshot tries to attack Krankcase, but only gets stuck to a wall himself. The Golden Queen then starts using her golden powers to try and hit the Skylanders, but they dodge her every shot. Cynder and Flashwing then fly up, and start using their blasts towards Gulper's face. At the same time, Food Fight, Wind-Up and Hex tries to hold back the many doom raiders coming out. They then look to see more villains emerge, including Fisticuffs, Bombshell, Berserker and many more. When it looked like they stood no change, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac and Pop Fizz come in from above.

Jet-Vac: "Dr. Krankcase, I should have suspected!"-said Jet-Vac, prepared

Dr. Krankcase: "Well, let's just see how good you are after all these years, Jet-Vac!"

Jet-Vac then went in, and began to fight against Krankcase. Meanwhile, Stealth Elf started fighting back against many criminals, when she got a glimpse of Berserker, and saw him running towards her. She then teleported and kicked him in the back, before a fight broke out between the two. Food Fight shot his tomatoes at Bombshell, and dodged a hit, that he nearly took from Fisticuffs. Cynder then tried to attack the Gulper, but she was knocked away by a stream of red lightning. They look to see Kaos in the distance, his fingers with red sparks around them.

Kaos: "It feels good to use my powers again."-said Kaos, relieved

Stealth Elf: "Well enjoy it while you can, Kaos."-said Stealth Elf, drawing her daggers-"You'll be back in your cell in just a second!"

Stealth Elf then runs at Kaos and attacks him, though he only starts to fight her back to get away. The Skylanders continue to fight the inmates, but their efforts proved useless the second that Krankcase used his slime to stick them to the wall. After being stuck to the wall, Stealth Elf tried to teleport after the criminals, but her power turned out to be useless when she is being restrained. Eruptor attempted to heat up the slime to get it off, but this took some time to accomplish. While at this, the doom raiders all ran into the palm of Gulper's hand, and he moved them away from the ravaged prison. The other criminals started using all different methods, but they managed to escape through the knocked down walls of Cloudcracker Prison. Kaos used his flying ability to get some feet of the ground.

Kaos: "Glumshanks, come on or I'm leaving you here!"

Glumshanks: "Do you mean that?"-asked Glumshanks, excited-"Please tell me that you..."

He was cut off, as Kaos grabbed his shirt and flew them both away from prison. With the majority of the villains escaped, the Skylanders managed to pull themselves free of the slime. Though they still had some of the green goo stuck to their bodies.

Stealth Elf: "Ooh, what is this stuff?"-asked Stealth Elf, grossed out

Jet-Vac: "It's some kind of slime that Dr. Krankcase has been using for years!"

Snapshot then angrily storm out and punches the wall.

Snapshot: "Errrgh, they got away!"-said Snapshot, angry

Eruptor: "Wait, what happened to all the Glumshanks clones?"

Kaboom: "They we're all vaporized after a month, guess their existence was only temporary!"

They then look to see a mailman walk up the the ruins, pulling an envelope out of his bag.

Mailman: "Delivery for, Snapshot!"

Snapshot: "Oh, that's me!"-said Snapshot, signing for the letter.

Snapshot then takes the envelope, and starts walking towards what's left of his office. Kaboom then follows him, trying to find out why he was suddenly in such a good mood. Kaboom makes it to Snapshot's office, which had all but one of the walls missing. Snapshot was at his desk, reading the letter, and Kaboom came to find answers.

Kaboom: "Snapshot, are you alright?"-asked Kaboom, concerned-"You were just angry, and now your in a better mood!"

Snapshot: "Oh, well, I'm excited because the Skylands government finally approved my request!"-said Snapshot, excited

Kaboom: "What request?"

Snapshot: "Well, do you know how we always get prisoners escaping, except the ones that are mabu?"

Kaboom: "Yes?"

Snapshot: "Well, I put in a request for something that will stop that! Do you know what our weapons are made up?"

Kaboom: "Traptanium?"-said Kaboom, confused

Snapshot: "Exactly, and I have just discovered that traptanium has the ability to make force fields!"-said Snapshot, lightening up-"So I put on a request for enough traptanium to make a new Cloudcracker prison!"

Kaboom: "Okay, but what about this prison?"

Snapshot: "This prison will be for the lower rank criminals, we might even give it to the so called 'mabu defense force'!-said Snapshot, happy-"Now, I will get the other trap-masters together, and we will build this.

The Skylnders returned to the Academy, very beat up and tired from their fight. They all just sat down, getting ready for some rest. Kaossandra and Hugo then come in, and find this situation.

Hugo: "Oh my eon, what happened?"-asked Hugo, concerned

Eruptor: "I'll tell you what happened!"-said Eruptor, angrily-"We just got our butts kicked, and a bunch of villains escaped Cloudcracker!"

Kaossandra: "What?"

Stealth Elf: "That's not all!"-said Stealth Elf, exhausted-"Those villains include Kaos, and the doom raiders, who now have two new members!"

Kaossandra: "Then we don't have a moment to waste!"

Kaossandra then walks up to her desks, and calls in all the Skylnders who have so far returned to the Academy, to alert them of this crisis. With all these villains out of prison, they needed all the help they could get.
