Gohan and Cells blows crashed against each other, shockwaves radiating from when they clashed as the flew across the landscape in a blur of combat.

"Masenko!" Gohan roared as he fired a beam of yellow at the bio-android.

"Galick Gun!" Cell roared in kind.

The ki blasts crashed against each other, the epicenter of the clash sending a wave of power blasting across the area. The small arena Cell had made had long since been destroyed in their clash and mountains shattered if they were too close as the entire area around them was ravaged by them fighting. Their beam clash exploded and the both crashed into each other through the fading ki, fists flying as they tried to kill each other. Cell was glad he had attained his Perfect form — though he was hiding his Super Perfect Form in reserve - and this Majin symbol was bolstering his strength; he wished he had know of Babidi sooner, it would've made the difference when Krillin would've killed him. Gohan had stayed at the first level of Super Saiyan as he fought and though it definitely bothered Cell that he wasn't curb-stomping the half-saiyan, he was actually excited.

Because this was fun for him, Cell was thrilled by the challenge he had after so many boring battles — his saiyan cells singing in his body — only to be felled by Krillin (of all people to lose to). while Goten and Krillen had been fun and somewhat frightening, he still wanted to fight people worth his time. He had unfortunately missed out on the Zenaki since that Fuhai character had dragged him through the portal before Krillin's Shin Kikoho had overwhelmed him fully. Still, this was exciting in that he fully got to test his abilities against someone he truly considered to be his equal. He thought that his use of Goku's instant transmission would catch the half-saiyan off guard, but apparently Gohan sparred extensively with his father and was well prepared to counter the slight lag of using that technique.

He had intended to destroy The Earth, but if all went well he could leave that to this Buu character that the wizard was so intent on reviving. He did wonder if he could defeat whoever this Buu was, but it didn't matter, he would once again scour the universe and become the ruler that Freiza was until Goku and Trunks bested him. After he destroyed all the dragon balls he could find, he would continue to grow stronger so if Buu and Babidi came wound to whatever planet he was on around the bend to destroy it and possibly him, then he would deal with it when that came.

And if he did it once he could do it again.

All that stood between him and that vision was his current opponent, so said opponent had to die.

Though something was wrong with the current scenario and that was the opponent he was fighting right now. The Gohan of the timeline he came from — which was not the teen he had killed — was nowhere near as strong the one he was currently fighting as his original counterpart was murdered by Androids 17 and 18. He also was not a Gohan who let his training slack after he killed Cell in another timeline — Fuhai had told him of the other Cell's demise, and while Cell was miffed it really made no difference now — he was stronger than his mainline counterpart had been when he fought Cell by a considerable margin. Still, This Gohan only seemed to have unlocked Super Saiyan and not Super Saiyan 2, so Cell was sure he defeat him, especially with the majin power still only passive and not fully activated at the moment.

"I must say Gohan," Cell called out over their clashing blows, "You really have impressed me with how strong you've become! In my Perfect Form I never expected you to be a challenge yet here you are matching me blow for blow as only a Super Saiyan! Even in the timeline I came from I don't think you could've developed such power, training with your father and Vegeta has yielded some incredible results!"

Gohan smirked back, "If you think I was just resting on my laurels after the androids were defeated, then you don't know me at all! I trained hard to make sure The Earth will never have to suffer like it did under the androids ever again! I don't care who comes to fight, I'll be ready to face them head on with all my power!"

Cell shot back and threw out his hands, firing a barrage of ki at the half-saiyan hoping to catch him off guard. But Gohan responded with a barrage in kind, each ki blast meeting its equal in a dazzling explosions of ki. Cell teleported behind Gohan and lashed out with a kick that Gohan caught on his forearm and let the blow propel him out of Cells strike range only for Cell to dog him without pause. Gohan began to block a flurry of blows as he and the bio-android battled in the artificial world around them. Gohan managed to duck under a blow and rose to land a punishing blow to Cell's chest and follow up with a Masenko that exploded as it sent Cell flying. Cell managed to right himself and scowled at the hybrid as he panted in pain, he was starting to get pissed at how long this was drawing out.

He fired another barrage of ki blasts and used the force to push him back to the ground and land to immediately began to spawn out Cell Juniors. He normally would want to finish the opponent off himself, but he didn't want to risk losing to this Gohan. He had no idea if there was a time limit or some other factor that could end this prematurely, so he went for broke and resorted to his kids.

Gohan immediately blinked at the miniature blue Cells hopping about, all of them leering at him with eager grins. Cell crossed his arms and stared up at Gohan, a condescending grin on his face as the Cell Juniors leapt around him.

"Sorry Gohan." Cell mocked, "But all good things must come to an end, and I suppose I'll just have you fight my children. They are not quite as strong as I am, but they should be enough to defeat you and let the wizard gain the energy for his Buu creature."

Gohan frowned, "You can't take me on your own power?"

Cell sighed, "Don't try to goad me into fighting you. I'm smarter than that."

Fuhai frowned at the battle between Gohan and Cell.

He forgot that Cell could spawn out his miniature children that could fight.

Still it wasn't fair like he wanted, the Cell Juniors would be able to harry and tire Gohan out if Cell kept spawning them out.

Fuhai sighed and stretched out his hand, purple ring glowing.

He'd even the odds.

Goku was bored.

Turles may have been a difficult opponent when Goku had finished his training with King Kai and maybe even after his 100x gravity training on his way to Namek, but had not grown enough to fight Goku as he was now. Even after consuming more fruit from The Tree of Might, Turles' power level was comparatively low and wouldn't be able to even scratch Goku despite his best efforts. He had been easy to defeat him and even though Goku tried to spare him, Turles tried to kill him regardless of the damage to his body. Even the activation of his Majin Symbol in full was just not enough to battle the savior of Earth and even entertain the hope of winning.

So the fight ended pretty fast, and that really disappointed Goku who was hoping this look-alike would put up a good fight.

But seeing him laying face-first in the dirt unconscious made Goku feel nothing but pity for the violent man. Maybe if Turles tried to grow his own power through training rather than clinging to draining planets for power, he would get the finesse to become truly powerful. But it was just too late.

And then Turles' body began to crackle with purple light and ki. The Saiyan began to convulse as the Majin's symbol flared violently and Goku leapt away, unaware that a portal opened behind him and swallowed him whole as Turles' body exploded.

Gohan blocked the Cell Juniors' attacks fairly well, they weren't as strong or as fast as Cell and he could kill them with a few minutes of concentrated effort, but that was the problem. Every time he tried to focus on one, two or three of the juniors would intervene and force him to back off. Cell on the other hand, simply waited for Gohan to tire himself out, and even the rate of things, Gohan could admit he wasn't going to win if that kept up. The Cell Juniors even had majin symbols marked on their heads, showing they could power up even further. If he could just find a way to distract them and focus on Cell he would get serious but he was just one against several opponents.

"Kamehameha!" A voice roared.

Gohan flinched and raised his arm only to see two of the several Cell Juniors in front of him be swallowed by a familiar beam of blue ki. Gohan turned and saw his father fly up next to him, transforming into a Super Saiyan mid-flight and getting into his stance.

"Dad?" Gohan inquired, "What are you doing here?"

"I beat Turles and his body was about to explode, so I moved away when a portal swallowed me and sent me here. I hope you don't mind if I join in, these guys are way stronger than him and you need to focus on Cell. The more time we give them to gather ki the less time we have to stop Buu from reforming! We need to hurry."

Gohan nodded and he and Goku both transformed into Super Saiyan 2 as a yellow aura and blue lightning exploded from their bodies. Gohan blitzed past the Cell Juniors as Goku slammed a fist into one and fired a ki blast that vaporized it in an instant.

"Well…" Goku said as he clenched a fist, "Now I just have to take care of the rest of you!"

All the remaining Cell Juniors growled as Majin symbols glowed on their foreheads and purple aura shrouded them. Two broke off to chase Gohan, but Goku used his instant transmission to appear in front of them and knock them both back.

"You guys are fighting me!" He declared.

Kakarot gasped as he was on his hands and knees, fighting to inhale as much air as he could since his most recent relocation via punch. Even his Primal Wrath was nothing against the full might of Vegeta, who had soundly thrashed him and destroyed a good portion of the planet they were on. Vegeta landed in front of him, eyeing him with disgust as he waited for Kakarot to catch his breath and say something. Kakarot fired a ki blast at point blank range only to blanch when Vegeta didn't have a scratch on him when the dust settled.

Vegeta kicked him onto his back, "Pathetic. Compared to the Kakarot of my time, you aren't even worth a fraction of effort."

"Damn you!" Kakarot roared as he punched the earth and golden ki began to rise around him, "I will not tolerate this humiliation any longer!"

Vegeta smirked, "Oh, are you finally going to get serious? Should I actually need to make an effort?"

Kakarot rose to his feet, transformed into a Super Saiyan, "This is the end for you! This is the legendary form spoken through our race and I have achieved it! I am a Super Saiyan and you will die by my power!"

Vegeta laughed mockingly, "I showed you a taste of my power and you still delude yourself into believing you can beat me?"

Kakarot roared forward to once again be halted cold by Vegeta's hand, who seemed amused my the attack as though it didn't carry all of Kakarot's power behind it with the intent of caving in the prince's face.

"Did you think that a low-class such as yourself was truly the only one to achieve that legendary form?" Vegeta sneered, eye flickering teal as golden ki began to leak out of Vegeta like wisps of flame, "You never pushed yourself once you achieved this form did you? You never found an opponent that was able to force you to surpass your limitations. You stagnated and only became weaker."

Kakarot stomach dropped as Vegeta turned into a Super Saiyan and smiled maliciously at the stunned low-class warrior. He was so stunned that he couldn't react as Vegeta pulled him in and smashed a knee into Kakarot's stomach and sent him flying. Using the force of the blow, Kakarot dashed away and tapped into his Primal Wrath as well as his Super Saiyan, forcing himself to ignore the sudden strain as he tapped into the seal to help mitigate the pressure on his body as the dark power surged through him. His scowl grew at the Prince still letting him power up, that damnable and unimpressed smirk still firmly on his face as he patiently waited. He couldn't have been a super saiyan, he was not special, he wasn't the one destined to be the ruler of the universe!

"I'll kill you!" Kakarot screamed.

"I should've expected you to need to take advantage of power that isn't yours." Vegeta scoffed as he slid into his stance, "You may at least finally be able to suffice as a decent punching bag."

Kakarot fired a barrage of ki blasts that Vegeta slipped through with little trouble as he fired a ki blast of his own at the enraged saiyan. Kakarot caught the blast and kicked it into the sky, ducking around Vegeta's follow-up before lashing out with a kick that Vegeta blocked with a arm. Kakarot began to rain blows down on the saiyan prince as he desperately tried to slaughter the man that had been mocking him this entire time. Vegeta wouldn't let him advance an inch as he efficiently and neatly blocked every blow without needing to move other than tilt his head to avoid an occasional blow. With each blow blocked and every attempt to hurt the prince Kakarot grew angrier and angrier, his attacks losing finesse, trading the skill for pure power and speed.

Vegeta slipped around one fist to counter with a devastating uppercut to Kakarot's chin that sent him flipping back. Kakarot righted himself to land on the ground and throw himself back away from Vegeta, who smirked at the fact he was able to regain his bearings. Kakarot threw out a hand as he glared the saiyan prince, ki glowing from his hands as he began to hurl another barrage of ki blasts at Vegeta. Vegeta decided to respond in kind as he raised a hand and began to fire his own barrage of ki blasts right back at Kakarot. The detonations as the blasts lit up the area in flashes and flares of light as neither fight wanted to give the other to advance.

Kakarot let his barrage drop as he blitzed around and behind Vegeta, pulsing ball of ki forming in his hands as he poured all his power into his attack.

"Annihilation Cannon!" He roared, firing a beam at Vegeta's back.

Vegeta immediately whirled at the cry and saw a beam of orange and gold ki roaring towards him, intent on swallowing him whole.

The saiyan prince leapt back and lifted his hand, "Big Bang!"

A massive blue sphere of ki erupted from Vegeta's hand to clash against the multicolored beam Kakarot fired. They crashed into each other and Goku grit his teeth as he attempted to overpower the attack that Vegeta had fired at him. He wouldn't lose, not to Vegeta, The very thought was inconceivable, he was never supposed to lose to anyone, no matter who they were. He was the one who usurped the rule from the Vegeta line! He was King Kakarot, the most powerful saiyan to have ever exist!

Vegeta — on the other end of the clash — stood firm with his hand held up, keeping his attack in place and with little difficulty, musing on all he had seen. To be frank, he had disgusted by the sheer weakness of this version of his rival, he was all talk and never improved after besting Frieza. It wasn't what he expected and he was left utterly disappointed. It also left an ugly feeling in his stomach at realizing this is what he would've become had not come to earth. This was the twisted and broken reflection of his past and while Earth had tempered the violence and rage, it had also made him a better man, a husband and father.

Vegeta shook his head and let out a sharp 'Ha!' as he pushed his attack forward, no longer wanting to face this version of his rival.

Kakarot's attack stood no chance as the Big Bang expanded and rapidly overtook him as it overwhelmed him.

The blasts sent Kakarot through several buildings and carves a large trench in the dirt marring the battleground. Vegeta lazily flew over, and looked on in disgust at Kakarot groaning in pain; his hair reverted back to black as he could no longer maintain his Super Saiyan form nor his Primal Wrath. Even the majin symbol was inert as the attack completely burned out its ability to strengthen its host.

"Why?" Kakarot growls as he gives up, "Why can't I hurt you? How are you so strong?"

Vegeta landed and dropped his transformation, raising a hand glowing with ki, "Because I have a rival to push me to greater heights and make me work harder. No matter how much as that buffoon pisses me off and grows, I know he will be the one to push me higher and higher; I will never stop getting stronger and I will the most powerful warrior in the universe!"

Kakarot managed one bloody sneer, "At least I know my counterpart is stronger than you."

Vegeta held out a hand in front of him as he frowns, "You can lament in what you could've been when you arrive in Hell."
