AN: I was hoping to have had this up before before but I got stuck on some chapters. Hopefully everyone enjoy this!!!

Chapter 14

Courtney's POV

Halloween

11:30am

" Thank goodness it's Halloween " I said arriving at the preschool carrying a basket of brownies that I took time making and decorating last night.

I was wearing a little red riding hood costume which I borrowed from Bridgette. Aside from the ( obvious ) red cape with a hood the dress was something it went up past my knees it was black with a white top a corset which kinda gave my breasts a bit of a lift, along with white thigh high stockings and black heels it actually looked good.

Serenity has been for weeks since bringing the notice about her classes Halloween dance party, especially when saying" costumes encouraged " she asked to dress up as Belle from " Beauty and the Beast " and of course myself and Duncan couldn't deny that request. We went to the Halloween shop and found her what she wanted.

This morning while getting her ready she jumped in pure excitement because she got to wear it, I curled her hair a little and tied it back.

I had to admit she looked beyond adorable and I made sure to take lots of pictures before I dropped her off in the morning. Zoe sent an email to parents in advance asking for volunteers to assist at the party as well as bring something to eat which I couldn't resist saying no to.

Walking into the school I make my way to the classroom even from down the hallway I could already hear fun music playing no doubt the party was on it's way.

Once entering the room it was all decorated with black and orange crepe paper streamers, balloons in the shape of ghosts, bats and pumpkins, a couple jack o lanterns on the tables and more importantly all the kids in there costumes having fun.

" Hi Courtney " greets Zoe from the refreshment table she was dressed up as a witch " I hope I'm not late " I answer going up to her " your good I was just about to make spooky punch " she explains while wiggling her fingers trying to act like her costume which only made me giggle.

I take the tea towel I had on my basket to place the plate of brownies down they were decorated with icing spider webs which were really fun to make.

" Wow those look great " said Zoe squeezing frozen orange juice in the punch bowl " thank you I hope everyone likes them " I answer picking up a bag of chips and putting them in a skull shaped bowl " the other parents should be arriving shortly " explained zoey now pouring ginger ale.

" Mommy " said Serenity walking up to the table " hi honey are you having fun? " I ask her smiling " yes we played games " answers Serenity " that sounds fun " I answer " you little red riding hood " she says noticing my costume, " yes I am ' I replied grabbing another bag of chips to put out.

" Sorry I'm late " said someone from the door making us look up to see Gwen dressed up as a vampire with a full on black dress a cape, fangs on her teeth and even blood on sides of her mouth to make it look she took a bite from a victim. Along with carrying a vegetable platter with a bowl of dip in the middle.

" Hi Gwen " I greeted waving at her " hey Courtney " said Gwen smiling as she walks over to the table " perfect we could use another set of hands to set the drink cups and plates " explains Zoe adding green lime sorbet to the concoction " the pizza will be arriving in 30 minutes " she adds checking the clock.

After awhile a couple more parents arrived also dressed up along with food, it was officially a party.

Gwen and I got asked to make little goody bags for the kids while other parents kept watch on the kids or helped with the food.

" How you been? I know we don't see other that often but I've really wanted to catch up " starts Gwen smiling at me while picking up gummy worm bags.

" Trust me I do too but I got lots going on thank goodness it's a break day today " I answer putting suckers in the bags " I feel ya I'm taking classes too for my Bachelor of Arts degree " Gwen replies dropping tootsie rolls " that's great Gwen I'm working on my law degree " I explain checking the bags.

" That's awesome I knew you wanted to be a lawyer " says Gwen " but I guess we both weren't expecting to have a baby so soon " she adds glancing up to see Louis dressed up as a pirate playing bean bag toss with other kids " yeah it was hard times but hey we did it and were pushing forward " I answer looking at Serenity laughing with kids. " Your right Courtney it was hard but we got through " said Gwen tucking her hair behind her ear but then I noticed a shine on her finger.

Reaching for her hand " you and Trent got married?" I asked admiring the black ring with a midnight blue stone " yeah a year after Louis was born we got married " she explains shyly smiling " I'm happy for you guys " I sighed almost feeling a bit of envious...

I wonder if Duncan and I could of had something like this?

" Hey you okay? " asks Gwen shaking me lightly out of my deep thoughts " yeah my mind wandered off a bit " I answer smiling to hopefully avoid what I was feeling.

" Okay everyone pizza is here " announced Zoe as herself and another parent walked into the room.

Just then the monster mash sounds starts playing making us laugh a bit, " classic " I giggle " it's not Halloween without it " answers Gwen.

" Say are you guys going to the Halloween Fair tonight? " I ask Gwen as we go help serve the pizza, " yeah we never miss it " she answers as she picks up napkins while I pick up plates. " Duncan, myself and the others are going to you and Trent should go with us " I offer smiling " sounds good " answers Gwen opening the napkins...

" What sounds good? "

Making us turn but also we try not to laugh...

Duncan's POV

12:00pm

I pulled up to the preschool. Serenity asked me to come to her class Halloween party and who was I to disappoint but I wasn't expecting to arrive in a costume " I'm gonna get Tye one of these days " I said getting out of my car looking at myself in my reflection...

* flashback *

I was inside my office preparing to leave for the party, Ive been so busy with work that I didn't have time to grab a costume for myself if anything I'd show up as " the mechanic getting off work " laughing at my own joke I reached for my keys when suddenly Tony and Tye open my door.

" Yo happy Halloween you off now? " asks Tye smiling while hiding something behind his back.

Raising an eyebrow in suspicion I look at the two with my arms crossed " yes, why do you ask? " I say waiting to hear what's going to be said next " mind you I had no involvement in this " Tony explains holding his hands in defence " what is it? " I ask watching Tye smiling, " your off to a party and I happen to have a costume you can borrow " explains Tye pulling out the bag he was hiding.

I eye it for a moment thinking if it was suppose to be humorous " I told you I had no involvement " sighs Tony looking at it " so you happened to have a wolf get up? " I asked looking at the bags contents that had wolf ears, a tail, fury cuffs, a snout and paws.

Nodding Tye hands the bag over to me which I accept, " thank you " I say while pulling out one of the wolf paws and slipping it on which looks a bit dumb " guess which finger I'm pointing at you? " I ask Tye while his brother laughs.

* End of Flashback *

I stuck with the ears, tails, cuffs and the snout along with wearing black jean and T-shirt.

Rolling my eyes at my reflection I go inside to make my appearance.

Once inside I immediately hear monster mash making me roll my eyes " oh yeah it's Halloween now " I said entering the room to see that the party was indeed on its way.

I immediately spot Courtney and damn did she look HOT dressed up as little red riding hood, I kinda wish I could howl right now since I was a wolf and if those are stockings go all the way up or are they thigh highs?

Making my way over I noticed Gwen beside her...

" Sounds good " answers Gwen while opening the napkins.

" What sounds good? " I asked getting there attention but when they turned to see me I noticed how they tried not to laugh at my get up.

" Laugh and it'll be the last thing you guys do " I said trying to not give in myself " nice costume Duncan " breathes Gwen clearly trying refrain herself from laughing.

" Daddy "

Turning around Serenity rushes up to me, and I had to say she looked so cute in her Belle costume she really was a little princess.

Kneeling down I open my arms for her so that she can give me a hug. " Hey princess " I greet her as she hugs me tight " hi...* giggle * you look funny " she says touching the wolf ears on my head " yeah I look it but wolves can be scary " I explain attempting to look terrifying.

But it only made her laugh more along with Courtney and Gwen.

15 minutes later

After the kids were all seated and having Lunch a few parents took off while myself, Courtney and Gwen stayed munching on a few snacks.

" Okay everyone after your all done it's time for our dance party " announced Zoe making the kids cheer.

While taking a sip of the weird looking punch that was really good I couldn't help but snicker " this is about to get interesting " I say " yes it should " replied Courtney before biting a carrot stick " oh yeah...mmm Courtney this brownie is good " comments Gwen looking at her taking another bite.

I better grab one myself before there gone.

Normal POV

A little while after the kids finished eating the trio helped pick up paper plates, cups and anything that wasn't eaten got cleared up from the tables.

Soon after upbeat dance music started playing and was it a sight to watch a whole bunch of 3 year olds either jump around or wave there arms like crazy. They were having fun and so was Serenity who was currently dancing in a very kid like manner.

" So is this what we must of looked like at there age? " asks Gwen smiling " if so I must of been on something " laughs Duncan sitting on a chair only to hear giggling from Courtney.

" Hey guys " greets someone from behind them.

" Hello Trent or should I say green lantern " teases Duncan looking at Trent's full get up " it was this or being a mime " answers Trent before shuddering " good choice " said Gwen walking over to him. " So what are you guys talking about? " asks Trent smiling at the kids dance.

" We're talking how interesting their dance moves are " explains Courtney tilting her head to the side.

Scratching the side of his face Trent " I mean we all went to high school dances those got interesting " he says making the others look at him " thats true and prom that can get crazy but only afterwards " answers Gwen " I took you to prom though babe " said Trent smiling making Gwen blush, " how about you Courtney did you go to yours? " asks Gwen looking at her but she looked to the side.

Courtney sighs while rubbing her arm " I didn't go to mine I was 8 months pregnant and going alone didn't seem like a good idea " she explains Duncan looks in her direction but she looked the opposite way to not make eye contact. " Oh sorry Courtney I didn't mean to " says Gwen feeling guilty, " it's okay no worries "replied Courtney.

Duncan was about to say something " Oh great another parent to join in on the fun " cheers Zoe walking towards the group " yeah Louis wanted me here " explains Trent looking over at his son.

" It's so great to see parents participate for class activities and hopefully we get a few volunteers for field trips " explains Zoe looking at everyone " without volunteers it's hard to say if it could happen and its heartbreaking for the kids" she adds looking at her students.

The four eye one another upon hearing the information " well if it helps I'd love to help " offers Courtney stepping forward" yeah why not count me in " said Gwen smiling while both Duncan and Trent look to the side, " and what about you guys it would be a great help " asks Zoe smiling.

" Ummmmm " respond both Duncan and Trent...

" Come on Trent you should volunteer too " said Gwen raising an eyebrow at him...

" Duncan it would mean a lot to Serenity if you did " said Courtney also giving him a look...

" Well I guess I could " answers Trent getting nervous seeing Gwen cross her arm " thank you " answers Gwen smiling at him.

The last one to finally give in was Duncan due to Courtney threatening him to kick in an area he was kicked before.

" Excuse me señorita Zoe can I play a new CD " asks a little boy dressed as a musketeer " of course you can Miguel " answers Zoe smiling at him before he went over stereo.

Smiling Miguel walks over to the stereo " this should be more fun to listen to or how papa says make you wanna...I can't remember the rest " he says pressing the open button to take out the current CD before placing the one he had in his costume, " papa definitely says lots especially about dancing " he adds placing the CD in followed by turning the volume up higher then finally presses play...

" This party is going great so far I'm glad no..." not finishing what Zoe was about to say a loud and very upbeat song starts playing making all adults in the room eyes open up...

" MY MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD, AND THEY'RE LIKE, IT'S BETTER THAN YOURS, DAMN RIGHT IT'S BETTER THEN YOURS "

" Woah" said Trent looking mortified " yeah " gasps Gwen with Courtney looking shocked. Quickly reacting Duncan goes over to the stereo pressing stop.

" Okay were good " said Duncan giving a thumbs up to everyone then takes out the CD, looking at the title his eyes open up but also he covers his mouth so that he doesn't laugh.

Zoe tries to compose herself to handle what just happened " okay how about we play a game class " she announces trying to forget what the kids just heard and hopes no one asks questions.

Duncan walks over to the others and shows them the CD's title, " oh that's gross " said Gwen looking disgusted.

" Okay that's just wrong " replies Courtney shaking her head " I'm glad I've never seen that on an actual CD " Trent says rolling his eyes.

Looking back at it Duncan tried laughing quietly " boy this kids parents sure got some taste " he says looking at the title again saying " lap dance mix # 3 " .

" Miguel I'm gonna need to talk to your parents " said Zoe looking at him.

3:00pm

Courtney, Duncan ( who was carrying Serenity) along with Gwen, Louis and Trent were all walking towards there cars.

" That was quite the party " said Trent rubbing the back of his head most likely referring to the unexpected song that played " yes it was " answers Courtney while Duncan tried not to laugh making Courtney shake her head. " Lets just get it out there it got awkward " said Gwen looking at everyone nod in agreement.

Only 9 more hours of Halloween what else could go on?

AN: This probably wasn't my best chapter but I'm definitely making the next one more eventful
