AN: I made a mistake; I think, in my explanations, Loki would have disappeared in February 1999, not May; I think, and I will warn you, there are some depressing thoughts in this chapter. When someone does a spell, it's written with the letters leaning like this, same with the people on the news talking. I hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or Marvel; this is just for fun.

Chapter 2: A Sirius Chapter

July 8 - July 10, 2012

Sirius Black shivered as a cold wind blew through his cell; he could hear the howling of the wind outside as rain pounded against the tiny window on the back wall; he hated when it rained; it made his cell colder than it usually was; in this hell hole called Azkaban, thanks to those foul creatures called dementors, that guard the place, sucking the happiness out of everyone. Not that you could be happy locked up in prison, no matter what kind of prison it was, especially if you were innocent. That thought is one of the things that has helped Sirius stay sane for the last twelve years he's been in this place, and Sirius's only crimes were trying to protect those he cared about and to find a happy home for his son, where he would have parents that could take care of him and be responsible.

Albus Dumbledore had sent Sirius on a mission out of the country, but his mission wasn't successful, so instead of going back to England right away and admitting he failed, Sirius decided to stick around and have some fun in the muggle world; the problem was Sirius had a little too much fun and was unable to return to England for a couple of months when he was finally able to go home, it was a night of an Order meeting, so Sirius decided to wait and let his friends know he was back until he showed up at the meeting; he thought it would be fun to walk in and make a scene; the fact his friends would be worried about him never crossed his mind; Sirius had been a bit of an arrogant idiot when he was younger and craved attention and being the center of it, which had a lot to do with his life growing up, with a verbally and physically abusive mother who loved to remind Sirius of what a shame he was while also reminding him that Regulus was not only her favorite but the best son a mother could have.

Anyway, when Sirius walked into the meeting, he barely heard his friends and other order members scolding him and demanding to know where he had been; his mind was mainly on the new member sitting next to the only empty chair; Sirius sat next to the raven haired beauty, and started telling his story of how he was captured and held prisoner for two months and finally was able to get away; a little exaggeration of what actually happened, but Sirius doubted anyone would find it amusing that he got in trouble with the muggle authorities and had just spent two months in muggle jail until he was able to go up against a judge, paid a fine and was finally allowed to go home. During his story, Sirius noticed the lady hung on his every word, oh he could tell she didn't believe him but still found his story entertaining; when he was done and introduced himself, she introduced herself as Reigna Ikol; she said she was from Norway and joined the Order to help fight Voldemort. After the meeting, when everyone was standing around catching up to each other like they usually did, and after Sirius chatted a bit with his friends, he excused himself and went over to where Reigna was talking with Lily and struck up a conversation that ended up turning into them flirting and teasing one another; Reigna accompanied Sirius home, and by morning, he was hooked.

He couldn't help it. Reigna was the most beautiful person Sirius ever knew and probably the most powerful person Sirius ever knew; she had a sense of magic coming from her that topped even Albus Dumbledore, she could do things Sirius didn't even know possible, and the fact she loved causing trouble and making mischief was a bonus. Reigna had already become friends with Lily before Sirius had returned, and she was on friendly terms with Remus, both being bookish; they had friendly conversations about books, but it wasn't long before she gained James's respect with her pranks and tricks, she fit right in with the Marauders, and Sirius fell deeply for her; she was so different from anyone Sirius had ever been with, he loved her dark, sarcastic sense of humor.

One year and eight months into their relationship, Reigna Ikol disappeared without a trace; Sirius had feared she had been captured or killed by Death Eaters; she was able to get damn good information on them, and she was ruthless in fighting them; it made sense to him, so Sirius had gone on a Death Eater hunt, capturing any known Death Eaters he could find and torturing them for information on Reigna, it took James and Remus finding out what Sirius was doing and talking some sense into him to get him to stop. Then Sirius discovered Reigna wasn't kidnapped or murdered as he feared, but she had left him on her own accord.

Sirius remembers the night he woke up to a baby crying, confused. Sirius went in search of said baby, half expecting to be imagining things, and thought he had been right until he returned to his bedroom to find a basket with a baby boy no more than a few days old sitting on his bedroom floor, with a note; he didn't even have to read it to know who it was from; it was the color of the parchment that tipped Sirius off because his Reigna always used black parchment with gold ink. The note explained that she had disappeared because Reigna found out she was pregnant, hideaway until the baby was born, and now was giving their son to Sirius because she had to go home and couldn't take care of him, the note also gave the baby's birthday, but she was leaving it to Sirius to provide him with a name.

Sirius couldn't believe it. Reigna was not only there in his flat but in his bedroom, just feet away from where Sirius slept; she was alive and okay but didn't bother to wake Sirius up, let him know she was alive, or even say bye, nothing after being gone for five months, she didn't bother to speak with him, just abandoned their child he hadn't even known she was pregnant with and left, a million emotions went through Sirius at that moment. Heartbreak, anger, confusion, and panic.

Sirius picked up the baby and the bag and then went straight to the one place Sirius knew he could count on for help. James and Lily Potter's, of course, being the middle of the night, Sirius woke them up frantically pounding on their front door, and had to answer a question to prove Sirius was who he said he was, then when James opened the door, wand in hand, Sirius, not thinking, handed James the basket as he pushed passed him into the house, tossed the bag on the floor, then started ranting and raving about how Reigna was alive and been in his apartment while he slept, and left the baby. By then, James had gotten the child out of the basket and was rocking him in his arms, trying to get him to stop crying. Lily snatched the letter out of Sirius's hand to read it because it was hard for either of them to understand what Sirius was talking about in his panicked state.

Finally, after an hour, Sirius calmed down, and Lily found a bottle of milk in the baby bag and took the baby from James to feed him; they all took a seat in the sitting room, so they could think about what to do. There were so many questions going through his head. Why did Reigna not tell Sirius she was pregnant? But instead, she kept it to herself and ran away. Then come back to abandon their child with him. Where was she now? What was Sirius going to do? He didn't know how to take care of a baby; Sirius was way too reckless and irresponsible and could barely take care of himself. Remus had shown up later that day and got shocked when he learned what had happened, by then James had quickly become attached to the little guy, calling him Harry, he said it was a nickname his grandfather went by, and the kid needed a name; they couldn't keep calling him the baby, so Sirius's son became Harry. It was a cute name and had nothing to do with stars or constellations, so Sirius was okay with it. Lily had grown attached to the little guy, too, being the only one who could get him to sleep.

For two weeks, they kept Harry a secret while Remus and Lily tried to track down Reigna, but it was no use; it was like she disappeared from the earth altogether, and when they tried to trace any family, no one in muggle or wizard world had the last name of Ikol. They decided Reigna Ikol was not her real name, and that broke Sirius more; the love of his life had been a lie, and he shared secrets with her he's never told anyone, and he had thought she did the same, but she hadn't even given her real name. Were the things she told Sirius even true? Was saying she loved him a lie?

Sirius felt that he wouldn't make a good enough father for Harry, the kid deserved a home with two loving parents, but he didn't want to abandon his child with strangers. So, James and Lily agreed to adopt Harry and raise him for Sirius; legally, they became Harry's parents and made Sirius the godfather, so he would still be a part of his life. It was a tradition in the wizarding world to give the firstborn son their father's name as a middle, so Lily asked if Sirius would like them to use his name; he decided that would be torturing the kid, and suggested using the name James, who hesitated at first, then Sirius said it was a way to thank him for always being there when Sirius needed someone. So, his son became Harry James Potter, and they told everyone they hid Lily's pregnancy claiming the child to be theirs; with all the concealment charms available to them with just a wave of a wand, it wasn't hard to get people to believe them, him, Lily, James, and Remus the only ones to know the truth. James and Lily planned to tell Harry when he got old enough to understand, but unfortunately, his friends wouldn't live that long.

They should have lied about Harry's birthday because not long after revealing Harry to the Order, Dumbledore came to Lily and James one day, talking about a prophecy and how Voldemort thought it meant Harry and that they should go into hiding, then fourteen months later, that damn rat turned on them; Voldemort murdered James and Lily, Sirius was and lockup in hell, and Harry, well, Sirius didn't know where Harry was; he assumed he was living with the Potter's only living family, Lily's sister Petunia. Sirius had never met her, but from the stories he heard, poor Harry must be living a childhood a lot like his; that thought killed Sirius, one of the biggest regrets of his life was not keeping his son and raising him as Reigna wanted, that was up there with talking Prongs into using Peter as Secret Keeper, two regrets Sirius will forever have.

When thrown in this place, for the first couple of weeks, Sirius was affected by the dementors, that was until he realized his animal form helped protect him from them; they couldn't sense animals, so when he was a dog, they passed by Sirius's cell, leaving him free of bad memories, Sirius had a lot of those, and did not want to keep reliving them, being in Azkaban was like being in hell because Sirius couldn't imagine actual hell was much worse, the thought made Sirius fear dying, because that's bound to be where he was heading; he may not be the evil killer the world thought him to be, Sirius wasn't exactly an innocent little good guy either.

When Sirius isn't in his dog form, he meditates like Reigna showed him to do; meditate with your only focus on your magic that keeps it strong, builds it up, helps you control it, helps you be good at wandless magic, something Sirius was good at, among other things, Reigna showed him his magic could be more than just spells and enchantments. The wandless magic came in handy when disarmed in battle, and thanks to her and her teaching him how to, Sirius could get by without a wand. Unlike the rest of the prisoners, who had a burst of magic sometimes from not using it, Sirius was still in control of his. A significant factor in helping him stay sane, along with his dog form and the thought of him being innocent.

Sirius pushed his right sleeve up and took a look at the two tattoos that were on his forearm and wrist; one was a shield with two intertwined snakes that formed the letter S and was chewing on each other's tails on either side of the shield were two black dogs, and underneath it was a banner with the words Mischief Managed, Sirius got the tattoo after Reigna disappeared and before she returned to abandon Harry, the snakes were, according to her, her symbol, and Sirius wanted to honor her in some way; he added the dogs and banner because he didn't want someone to see the snakes and be dumb enough to mistake it for the Dark Mark. Sirius's second tattoo was on his wrist, just under the banner, and he got it after he started feeling regret and guilt for giving Harry up; the tattoo was just an H, not even a fancy one, and in many ways, Sirius's favorite because it was his son's initial. The one he and Reigna had created together. Sirius missed them all so much, even Reigna.

Sirius let his sleeve drop and put his face in his hands; he hated how his thoughts always seemed to turn to her; it's been over a decade since he's seen her; Sirius should hate her; a part of him did, but he couldn't ignore the time they spent together, that he once loved her more than anything. Still, it wasn't enough; it never was; she was gone, and his son would never know the truth about where he came from; maybe it was better that way; he needed to stop thinking about the past; perhaps Sirius should allow the dementors to drive him mad, give up and die, Sirius had nothing to live for, except for Harry, and his son didn't even know Sirius was his father, probably didn't even know he existed. Every Sirius ever loved got taken from him. He laid down on his uncomfortable, lumpy cot as tears fell from his eyes. Trying to come up with the courage to let himself die.

Sirius didn't give in to those depressing thoughts and was thankful he didn't, as two days later, thanks to one Cornelius Fudge, Sirius saw something in the Daily Prophet that gave him a tiny glimmer of hope; Fudge, the current Minister of Magic, had stopped by the prison for his annual inspection when passing by Sirius's cell, he called out to him, asked if Sirius could have his paper, Fudge had been so surprised Sirius wasn't screaming like a crazy person he had handed it to him without a word.

"Thank you, Minster," Sirius replied, smirking a little. "Gets rather boring in this place." Sirius grinned at Fudge, who was blinking at him as if he was trying to figure out if he was going crazy, before he just walked away, still not saying anything.

Laughing to himself, Sirius sat down and looked through the paper; he was interested to see what was going on outside the prison walls; there was a very brief mention of Harry Potter going to be into the third year at Hogwarts, a statement of Lucius Malfoy making a significant donation, most likely to stop some muggle protection law from passing, a wizard in Cardiff fined for bewitching a muggle post box to spit its mail out at the muggle postman, and a witch in Kent arrested for using magic on a muggle during an argument at a train station, the pitiful thing was probably somewhere in this prison now screaming her head off, her throat will never be the same after her six-month sentence.

Sirius closed the newspaper and sighed; not much happening, a lot different than the last paper he read; it was full of death and destruction, though that was during the war, Sirius looked down at the front of the paper and was nearly blinded by the sea of redheads, he snorted must be Weasleys, yep, as he read the article the name, Arthur Weasley stood out to him, Sirius never met the man himself, he was out of Hogwarts before Sirius started, and wasn't apart of the order or anything, but he sure heard of the Weasleys, one of the so-called blood traitor families his Mum loved to go on and on about, looks like Arthur kept the tradition of having loads of children, the one boy with a pet rat on his shoulder, the paper said he was going into the third year, Sirius wondered if he was friends with Harry, said all the Weasley children were Gryffindors, he guessed Harry would be too unless he took after his mum, who may not have attended Hogwarts, but if she had she'd have been either Ravenclaw or Slytherin, most likely, Slytherin, that thought somehow amused Sirius.

Sirius looked back down at the boy and the rat on his shoulder, then his eyes widened, and Sirius jumped to his feet; that was no pet rat; that was Peter Pettigrew. Sirius was sure of it, he knew his animagus well, and he was even missing a toe, which the bastard cut it off to frame Sirius for his murder. The Weasley boy was in Harry's year and, most likely, would take him to school with him, even though rats weren't on the list of approved pets, but students tended not to listen to rules, damn it Harry could be in danger, and Sirius was here locked away. He thought of calling out to Fudge to show him, Pettigrew, try to explain it to him, but he doubted he'd listen; no one has believed him since his arrest, and when Sirius was thrown in this place without a trial, he lost any faith he had in the wizarding justice system, he would love to curse Barty Crouch Sr just one good well-aimed curse in a place it would hurt.

Sirius will have to get out of Azkaban and save Harry himself; he didn't belong here anyway, he'll leave; Sirius has no wand anymore, but he can use magic without one, though his magic wasn't too strong at the moment, where it was keeping Sirius alive if he hadn't been for the power that ran through Sirius, plus his ability to manipulate it even without spells, he would probably have died of starvation a long time ago, due to the lack of proper nutrition and being feed what barely passed as food only once a day for twelve years, he was always having to ignore hunger pains and had lost so much weight his prison robes was barely staying on his frame. Sirius folded the paper, stuck it in the pocket of his robes, turned into a dog, and squeezed through the bars in his cell; once out of the cell, Sirius took off running outside into the windy rain; the island always seemed to be having nasty weather; he ran down the hill, across the sand, then jumped into the ocean and swam as a dog until he got to another shore.

Once Sirius climbed out of the sea onto land, he collapsed for a moment and laid on the sand for a moment, catching his breath and trying to rest a little before getting up and heading away from the shore; the first thing he needed to do was find out where The Weasleys lived, and get his hands on Pettigrew, clear his name, then find his son.

Sirius entered town still in dog form, tired and hungry; he needed food and was determined not to eat scraps or dig in someone's garbage; it was hours until the dementors did their nightly cell check, so it would be a while before the ministry knew of his escape. If Sirius could get his hands on some money, he had a chance to have at least one decent meal before he became the wizarding world's most wanted; he just needed to find something different to wear since muggles didn't wear robes. So when Sirius came across a house that had clothes hanging on a line outside, he jumped the fence and picked the jogging bottoms over jeans because they had a string he could tie to hold them up, then grabbed a jumper that had a hood, jumped back over the wall and found an empty, abandoned building to change his clothes; after stuffing his tangled mess of hair into the jumper, he put the hood on his head.

Sirius then waited until sundown before going back out and looking around, paying attention to everyone he passed until he found the perfect target, a guy in his mid-forties standing by the side of a building arguing with someone on a cell phone, not paying attention to anyone around him people kept almost bumping into him, which caused him to snap at everyone who passed by him. Sirius slowly walked toward the man, stopping a few feet behind him, and held out his hand.

"Accio," Sirius whispered; black color magic flowed from his fingers as the wallet in the guy's back pocket flew out and right into Sirius's hand; he looked around to make sure no one saw, then opened the guy's wallet, pulled out all the muggle notes, ignored the bank and credit cards, and then tossed the wallet back towards the guy, it landed next to his foot. Hopefully, he'll see it, but Sirius wasn't in the mood to care too much as he turned and headed out of the ally and waited unto he was a few blocks away and found a diner in what looked like a shady neighborhood; Sirius opened the door and walked in; there were only four other people in there, a couple in the far corner and a guy around fifty or so, drinking coffee and looking through a paper, and the worker at the counter. However, there were most likely more workers in the back.

Sirius walked up to the counter with the muggle notes still in his hands to order some food, the girl, probably late teens or early twenties, looked at him in disgust, thankfully, kept her opinions to herself as Sirius ordered a burger and chips, with a drink, paid for it. The girl told him to have a seat; she would bring his food to him shortly; Sirius sat close to the door and turned the chair to sit with his back to the wall; he had a clear view of everyone in the restaurant this way; he looked around twice before turning his attention to the television hanging on the wall across from him, it was on a news channel. Sirius turned from the television and started counting the rest of the money he had stolen; he should have enough to catch a ferry to the mainland; he didn't want to risk apparition, not when must his magic was working to keep him alive, with just enough energy to get around, and use minor spells.

When the waitress finally brought his food and drink to him, she sat at the table in front of him, then hurried away as if she couldn't wait to get away from him; that was fine with Sirius as he picked up the burger and took a couple of bits, then stuffed a couple of chips in his mouth. Sirius knew it probably wasn't a good idea to eat so fast, but the burger and chips tasted extra good to him right now; by that time, the lady on the news, Claire, was interviewing two guys named John and Kurt about their thoughts on some attack that happened a few weeks ago in America, and something or someone called The Avengers.

"I do not think we should be praising them." John was saying. "They caused just as much damage as Loki did during his attack; these vigilantes, the so-called superheroes, should have stayed out of it; the authority should have called in the military to handle it."

"By the time they got there, it could have been too late," Kurt argued, "The Avengers stepped up and saved the day; they stopped Loki; they stopped those creatures; they are heroes."

"Please, he wouldn't have been able to do that if they hadn't let him escape the first time they caught him," John argued, "Twice they had him, and twice he got away; maybe they should be looking at that brother of his, a bit fishy, he was there both times Loki escaped."

"Thor? Come on; he was fighting Loki; why would he help him escape?"

"Not saying he did, just saying he should be questioned."

Sirius looked up at the television. He didn't know what these people were talking about, who Thor was, or Loki, but that John guy was a jerk, Thor and those Avengers, whoever they are, it sounded like they stopped some attack by whoever the hell Loki is, and some creatures, and he was acting as if they were in on it.

"We have the clip from when Loki was in Germany. Would you two like to see it?" Claire asked, cutting into the two guys' argument, which seemed to be getting pretty heated.

"Yes, I would love to see it," Kurt said.

The footage started playing, and Sirius dropped his burger back onto his plate in shock as he stared at the television; it was Reigna in his male form; Sirius would know them anywhere, male or female, even if the news was calling him Loki, and he was wearing the weirdest outfit Sirius had ever seen Reigna wear, holding some strange staff, with some horned helmet on his head, and acting like Voldemort, making people kneel, Sirius couldn't believe his eyes, and when Reigna started talking, Sirius couldn't believe his ears either.

"Is not this simpler?" Reigns asked," Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom dimensions, your life's joy, in a mad scramble for power, for identity, in the end, you were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel."

Sirius stood and walked a little closer to the television as some guy dressed like the American Flag dropped down out of nowhere and started fighting Reigna; even though he was the one doing wrong, Sirius still made a face when the other guy knocked him down and had a hard time not rooting for his old lover to win the fight.

"Reigny," Sirius whispered, his old nickname for Reigna, as he watched him get the other guy down on his knees, holding the tip of the staff to his head, and demand him to kneel; the guy was able to knock Reigna's staff away, and fight back, it ended when a guy wearing a red metal suit showed up and blasted Reigna down with some kind of light, causing him to surrender. Sirius felt slightly annoyed when the metal suit called Reigna, Raindeer games; he had no room to talk about someone's clothes while standing there wearing a tuna can.

Sirius turned and left the diner, feeling like he was in a weird dream. He couldn't figure out why Reigna would be attacking muggles, dressed like that, calling himself Loki, Sirius wanted to find Reigna and ask them a hundred questions, but he couldn't, not yet anyway; he had to get his name cleared, gain custody of Harry, and start putting him first like Sirius should have done that night; should have taken Harry from Hagrid and disappeared with him, but Sirius was once more selfish and wanted revenge, well not anymore, from now on Harry came first; Sirius changed his plans a little, he was going to check on his son, before finding Pettigrew, he just remembered Pettigrew was in Egypt with the Weasley family anyway, he'll check on Harry, make sure he was okay, then find the Weasley's house, watch until they return, get his hand on the rat, get his name cleared, gain custody of his son, then find Reigna and ask his hundreds of questions, they owe him an explanation anyway. First, Sirius needed to find a way to England.

A.N. The next two chapters are in Harry's POV but will be uploaded separately; hopefully, this chapter was good, not too depressing, and that part about Sirius being able to manipulate his magic without even casting spells or anything, that's all, thanks to Loki teaching him how to do more with his powers. Yes, Sirius is using it to keep himself alive, which is why he has the Good, not dose at the moment, or can't do too big of spells right now, and Sirius keeps calling Loki Reigna because that's who Sirius knows them as; it will probably take a while for Sirius to get used to their name is Loki.
