11. Chapter 10 - The Untrodded Road

Beerus's PlanetAge 774 The day after the events of the last chapter

[ 2 Months and 3 weeks until the Buu Saga ]

(Arturia's )

"You know, when I thought you said we would train my Super Saiyan Rose state, I didn't think we'd just be sitting down talking…" I say, with Whis having me enter Super Saiyan Rose form the moment I appeared on the planet.

"Nonsense, you'll see what I mean eventually.." Whis says with a chuckle, waving away my concerns without a care before motioning me to follow him. As I do so, I notice he's leading me to a Gazebo on the planet with a table, chairs and a tea set.

"Now then, if you'll be so kind as to take a seat my Lady..?" He asks, gesturing to one of the seats. I take a seat, and Whis soon begins to make tea for the both of us.

"I noticed you changed up your attire since that fight with Son Goku, is there a particular reason as to why you've gone with what you have on right now?" Whis asks, taking the time to enjoy some Idle conversation while he makes the tea.

Remembering the events of yesterday and last night, I blush before replying with.."T-to be fair, my last outfit got a bit too warm wearing during a fight while this one has a much more breathable fabric to it…" Is what I say, ignoring the fact that there is clear large amounts of side-boob due to how this outfit was designed, likely intended by Medea for whatever reason I will never know.

Whis, to his credit, can obviously see that the top I'm wearing was likely someone's attempt to give me something athletic while also being extremely generous with showing off my curves. He doesn't care about that really as it's none of his business.

"I can see that My Lady, still it's better than the rugged attire you had on before in my opinion so that's good.." Whis compliments, making me blush before he hands me my tea.."Thank you for the tea!" I say before taking a moment to have a small sip of it.

It's rather sweet, which is perfect for me who is used to more sugary drinks. Speaking of which, I realize I should probably take out some things from my pocket space.

"Oh, before I forget…" I start, bringing out a plate with fresh hamburgers and two cold cans of Coca-Cola.."Here, I did promise to bring you something to eat every time I come here, might as well Introduce you to my favorite drink brand too.." I finish.

"Is that so…?" Whis says, experimentally taking one hamburger in his hand and taking a bite. He immediately has this look of pure food-based pleasure as he eagerly devours his first hamburger.

"Oooh my, this…what's it called…Hamburger is quite delicious, the red sauce works wonders with the meat and savory-tasting yellow …." He says with delight, soon taking another Hamburger from the pile and devouring it with gusto.

"H-hey, do try to take a sip of this drink I got you before you run out of room your stomach" I say in panic, not wanting good Coca-Cola to waste, the only addiction i've ever allowed through my addiction defense.

Whis, now curious, takes abit to try and get the can open. When he does get the can open, he takes a sip of the Coca-Cola. His eyes widen as he can taste the intense sweetness and the pep to his step that it brings him.

"Oh my this beverage is truly fantastic, why it must be the work of a god of culinary delights!" Whis says, making me grin as I have converted yet another to the delights of Coca-Cola. My one true Soft Drink.

I crack open my own can and take a moment to clink our cans together as we both relish in this Ironically Heavenly drink. The best part is that I'm the only known source of the stuff due to it not being anywhere in DBZ at all, so it can be classified as a rare commodity for now.

Still, as I continue to make small talk about the state of Universe 7, I can't help but ask Whis…"So, when will we be training Super Saiyan Rose..?" to which Whis just smiles.

"Why my lady, haven't you noticed…?" He asks before adding.."You haven't needed to refresh your godly form since you came here!" He finishes, making me freeze mid-sip of my Coca-Cola before swallowing it as my mind races through the implications.

Whis is right, I should have felt the need to refresh Super Saiyan Rose by now!

Whis just smiles and then goes to explain what's going on.

"I suspected that due to the fact you were not yet used to your Godly power, you were leaking out that same power as you were in that transformed state, as such I needed to introduce your transformed state to a place that is overflowing with a similar sort of power.." Whis says while showing a simple diagram of how my body handles the transformation currently.

"So I no longer need to worry about needing to refresh my power..?" I ask Whis, who shakes his head before returning to the diagram he's displaying again.

"Unfortunately, you'll need to come back approximately three or four more times before I can confidently say that you will no longer need to worry about leaking out the Godly Ki.." He says, using the diagram to demonstrate how with each visit, the amount of Ki leakage would lessen dramatically until it's fully stabilized, allowing for proper training to begin.

As Whis finishes his explanation, he notices that his can of Coca-Cola is empty and looks at me, to which I chuckle and give him another one, thanking me, soon he dispels the diagram and we resume having some small talk.

Still, I wonder what's going on back on earth while I'm gone, probably nothing all that ground-breaking.

MeanwhileThe Site of Goku and Vegeta's original battle in the Saiyan Saga Age 774

(General P.O.V)

"Do we really have to do this now Vegeta..?" Goku asks, to which Vegeta gives him a deeply annoyed frown before replying with.."Yes Kakarot, we do…my student beat you but that doesn't mean we have completely settled the score.." Vegeta gets into his Iconic stance on the very same plateau he first faced here on earth, to which Goku grins and gets into his own turtle stance, the two fighters now in the same positions as they were in their very first battle.

"HERE I COME KAKAROT!" Vegeta roars before he blasts off from his position. Goku quickly blasts forward to meet him as Vegeta attempts to get the first hit in, going for a direct punch to Goku's face.

Goku merely dodges by moving his head to one side and getting his own hit in, pressing his knee into Vegeta's gut and sending in flying into the air.

Vegeta scowls as Goku landed the first it and begins to gather Ki into both of his hands and begins to send Ki blast after Ki blast at Goku's position. Goku simply uses instant transmission and appears behind Vegeta and attempts to slam him down to the ground, using both fists clasped together.

Vegeta reacts quickly, catching both hands by the wrist with his left hand before taking the opportunity to land a direct punch to Goku's stomach, quickly following up by letting go of Goku's wrist to get in a follow-up punch and finishing with a kick that sends Goku flying into a nearby cliff-face.

"COME ON, GET SERIOUS ALREADY KAKAROT!" Vegeta roars before he senses Goku's ki skyrocket and a golden blur rushes out of the broken cliff-face. Having only seconds to react, Vegeta gets his hands in a cross guard and blocks an incoming drop kick before Goku Instant transmissions behind him and this time Vegeta has no time to respond.

Goku lands a punch to Vegeta's shoulder, however, Vegeta uses the momentum from that hit to spin around and fire a barrage of Ki blasts, forcing Goku back and allowing Vegeta time to go Sper Saiyan himself, with both fighters now in Super Saiyan.

"Hmph, at last, you get serious kakarot.." Vegeta says before the both of them blast off at each other, the two of them soon collide and lock hands as they struggle to force the other back. Vegeta attempts to strike at Goku's head with several kicks, each other Goku barely dodges before he uses one over-extended kick to force Vegeta to the ground.

Vegeta immediately slams Goku's stomach with both legs with enough force to send him flying into a nearby rock formation as Vegeta quickly gets up. Goku for his part quickly recovers and while the dust is clearing, fires off a Kamehameha, attempting to catch Vegeta off guard.

Vegeta for his part side-steps the oncoming blue beam before he fires a Ki blast into the dust to force Goku out of hiding. Goku quickly zooms into the air to dodge the Ki blast before He sees Vegeta zooming toward him, very quickly going Super Saiyan 2 and attempting to end this quickly.

Goku blocks an incoming strike with his Left forearm, blocking Vegeta's right-handed punch before having to back away a bit as Vegeta moves forward to attempt a sneaky uppercut. However, Goku soon gets a direct hit from a Ki blast, then several more as the initial one merely was meant to disorientate him.

Goku very quickly ups the ante and Goes Super Saiyan 2 before rushing at Vegeta. However Vegeta decides to take a page from his student's book and create a flail, hastily made from his own Ki, completely catching Goku by surprise and allowing Vegeta to slam the blocky flail head into Goku's Sternum, then the side of his head before finishing by slamming it into Goku's stomach.

As Goku groans in pain, winded because of the first hit landing on his sternum, he takes a moment to ask Vegeta…"Hey…I didn't know you could do that…" To which Vegeta scoffs, remembering how Arturia would sometimes attempt to catch him off-guard with the very same sort of Ki-manipulation, having been experimenting with the concept after he stopped personally training her.

"Hmph, a good teacher influences his student, but a great teacher can also LEARN from his student in turn.." Vegeta replies before rushing forward with the Ki flail, spinning it in mid-air before every attack with Goku only being able to dodge as he tries to get used to the new weapon in Vegeta's arsenal.

Seeing this just makes Goku remember how he used to have his power pole so long ago, which gives him an idea..

The next time Vegeta attempts to fling the head of the flail at him, he ducks under it and grabs the chain connecting the handle to the flail head and drags Vegeta forward before quickly slamming him down to the ground below with a single vertical kick.

"Come on, this has to work…" Goku says before using his memories of the power pole he once had to slowly create a glowing long pole of Ki, making him grin and twirl it around and soon he smiles, nostalgia filling him.

Vegeta from below sees this and grins, excited to see that for once, Goku had to catch up to him instead of the other way around. Vegeta zooms forward, the Ki flail spinning at high speeds in mid-air as he brings it for an overhead swing, Goku blocking by quickly flicking away the flail-head with one end of the Ki Pole and attempting multiple thrusting moves with the Ki Pole, Vegeta only narrowly dodging each one before he brings his Ki-flail back around and slams Goku his left hip.

Goku cries out in pain as the force is enough to send him flying to Vegeta's left as Vegeta himself rushes forward to attempt another hit, however once again Goku slaps away the Ki-flail head and brings his Ki-pole in with a two-handed swing and slamming into Vegeta's stomach.

Vegeta is sent flying into a rock formation below and slams into it with enough force to completely shatter it. Without warning a massive beam of purple flies out and Goku has to block it with the Ki Pole.

While in Super Saiyan 2, he is barely able to hold back the surge of power. But Goku rushes to enter Super Saiyan 3, displaying the form for the first time in his living life, and roars before swiping downwards with his Ki pole with enough force to cause a massive wave of air to split apart the dust clouds below and slam into Vegeta.

As Goku hovers over the field majestically in Super Saiyan 3, Vegeta just looks in awe of the form before scowling. He curses in his head as Goku once again is ahead of him in form..

"This has gone on long enough Vegeta…" Goku charges up a Kamehameha after dispelling the Ki Pole as Vegeta scowls, charging his Gallick Gun after dispelling his own Ki weapon. After enough time passes they both cry out..

"KAMEHAMEHA!/GALLICK GUN!" The two beams of purple and blue collide, the two powers moving back and forth for a brief time before the Blue begins to overtake the purple. Vegeta grits his teeth furiously, he does not want to lose to Kakarot yet again..

Then he remembers, wasn't he in this exact position a while back ago…?

And then with a startling realization, he remembers his first fight with Arturia, recalling exactly how he handled things before, he doesn't know if it'll work against Kakarot..

But he tries nonetheless, only putting up a final token effort before zooming forward, letting the blue beam burst past him as he rushes along it. As Vegeta gets to his destination, he charges up a Gallick gun with everything he has left.

Goku has only a brief moment to look completely caught off-guard before Vegeta slams him with one final Gallick gun, sending him flying into yet another rock formation with the entire thing crumbling to pieces around him.

And as Goku groans, a bright yellow light illuminates the dust around him as Vegeta is on top of him, just as injured as he is and breathing heavily, yet has a Ki blast ready to go with Goku dead to rights.

"Say it…" Vegeta, Goku not being able to get a word in before Vegeta once again demands "SAY IT!" Vegeta wanted to hear the one thing he waited to hear for so long come from his rival's own mouth.

"I…..I give up Vegeta, you really trained hard while I was gone huh…?" Goku says with a happy grin, neither of them in Super Saiyan anymore, but Vegeta doesn't care as he gets off of Goku in a daze, getting to his feet and once he looks at the clear sky above, he merely holds up both tired arms and roars in victory and complete vindication.

All his hard work and training. All of his long years of waiting.

It was all worth something at long last. The frustration deep within Vegeta disappears as his heart soars with complete and utter euphoria of victory.

Then he falls flat on his backside, unable to stay standing due to being so exhausted. Goku soon drags himself over to Vegeta and smiles at Vegeta getting this first real victory against him.

"At long last..I put you in your place Kakarot…" He says, while the words would once have sounded malicious and cruel, to the two of them, it simply means that he is finally between the two of them, despite Goku having a brand new form of Super Saiyan.

Goku chuckles while rubbing the back of his head, smiling while feeling completely sore all over, nodding in agreement. "Yea you sure did Vegeta, I can't wait to do all this again someday.." Goku says, to which Vegeta scoffs but replies "True, if I want to stay ahead I need a rival like you to keep me on my toes…" Both of them are already eager for their next fight against each other as the two rekindle their bond of rivalry in full due to Goku having been gone for so long.

"Still, that last move you pulled was insane, who showed you that one..?" Goku asks, to which Vegeta chuckles before saying..

"It was merely an effort to end the fight of my then soon-to-be student, it was her influence that made me dabble in such things as Ki weaponry.." Making Goku chuckle, feeling a bit jealous of Vegeta for having such a wonderful student.

"Maybe I should find a Student of my own..?" Goku says, to which Vegeta smirks, replying with..

"If you do, I can't wait to have my student and whoever you get as YOUR student face off…" Vegeta says, interested in such a prospect.

With their match behind them, Goku and Vegeta talk for a bit longer before they fly off back home with one hell of a tale to tell their family.

MeanwhileSomewhere on Babidi's Space shipAge 774

(General P.O.V)

Dabura sits on a throne in his room, contemplating on how his master Babidi will use Majin Buu to rule over all of creation when he sees a strange portal open up and Demoness with long white hair, round glasses and curves that would be the envy of many a Demoness back in the realm come out, pushing up her glasses and taking a bow.

"Hehehe, hello there Dabura Sir, I come with tidings from the demon realm and a gift…" The unusually garbed demoness says before presenting a scroll and crystal seemingly radiating with power…

"Hmph, stay where you are and throw them to me…" Dabura says, not trusting the woman an inch due to the fact that she IS of his own kind if his eyes don't deceive him.

The woman throws both together, with the demoness now openly smirking as he realizes something is wrong. Before anything else, he is blinded by the light coming off of the crystal coming toward him.

As such, because of him shielding his eyes with his arms, he's left completely open..

Shrk!

…As Fu's blade pierces his heart..

Dabura gasps in pain as he struggles to breathe due to such a fatal wound..

"Why…" He asks with an expression of pure betrayal and anguish, not understanding why a demoness would ever stand in the way of bringing back the demon realm..

"Why..because why bother with such a trivial thing like that anymore when my dearest sister has the means to bring me to brand new places to explore, so much data to find, and histories to change…" She says with utter delight, not caring in the slightest about the demon realm at all despite being made to bring it back in the first place.

Dabura can't comprehend what she means, and before he can ask more Fu pulls out her blade and soon finds himself slumping over in his own throne, darkness taking him as he dies. Fu delights in this and raises her blood-stained blade to draw on the energy that this impactful change in history ths will cause but realizes with a chuckle that this particular timeline no longer suffers from that particular quirk.

"I must say sister, if it weren't for the fact that you were gonna lead me to brand new places, I would have felt truly put out right now…." Fu says to herself before wiping the blade clean and sheathing it.

"Oh well, I've long since gathered plenty of energy before I was bound anyway.." She says with a smile before opening a new time portal back to earth, Fu starting to crave that Soft drink that her sister got her hooked on.

Fu simply can't wait to tell her sister the good news!

As Fu disappears from the room, it's silent. By the time anyone notices anything is off, Dabura has been dead for several hours.

Leaving Babidi scrambling for a new top fighter, with very few options nearby he picks a planet that his scouts report is nearby with an unusually high power level there.

In all seriousness, I bet you all never saw THAT one coming. With Dabura being assassinated, I realize that without a suitable replacement, Babidi will probably scramble to find a replacement that would suit his needs, and when I thought about this, what power level would still not be on earth that would be formidable?

Then I remembered Broly existed, and I realize that he would be perfect for babidi, even if he doesn't realize it yet.

As for the training with Whis, I do hope properly explained why Super Saiyan Rose is cutting out and requiring mid-battle refreshes well enough. Finding a suitable reason as to why the cut-outs are occurring was abit challenging but I hope this is reasonable enough.

And the Fight between Goku and Vegeta

I truly hope I did well with that one, it was interesting to try and ensure that it stayed in character while trying to introduce new things that have been occurring due to Arturia's presence around the Z-fighters.

With this fight, I hope to introduce a more constant use of Ki-weaponry as a form of escalation without full-on transformations. Might give the Human characters some variety as well, since they're mostly but to one side in favor of the Saiyans.

And finally, Dabura's death.

This is what Fu has been setting up ever since she was absent last chapter, trying to get the right moment to find Dabura alone and in a vulnerable position in order to kill him. She hopes that without Dabura, Babidi won't be so powerful, unaware of what she has just set in motion by accident.
