Chapter 4
Lunch with the Girls

Its been a few weeks since Shoto and Izuka met Miki. Since that day, Shoto was spending time with Miki and Nyssa getting to know the little girl. There were a few times he spent the night and was hardly home at his father's place. Endeavor had to force him to do night patrols at times. Shoto noticed with training with Nyssa that she was getting stronger with her quirk. Even after patrol, Nyssa would find him asleep on the couch in the morning

Shoto and Nyssa were growing closer and it didn't suprise their friends they were back to being good friends. The first night he came over after work he discovered their cabinets and fridge were almost empty and Shoto took them grocery shopping against Nyssa's protests and bought some grocery. Now he understood why she was so skinny. She was making sure her daughter ate while she went hungry. Nyssa had given him a small smile after she helped him put stuff away.

Nyssa hurried towards Shoto's desk with her phone in her hand. The girls had been busy to meet and Ochaco just messaged to see if she could pick Nyssa up for lunch with the girls.

"What is it? You look super excited." Shoto said, looking up.

"Ochaco wants to know if she could steal me away for lunch. I got most of my stuff done and can finish the rest tomorrow or I can come back in a hour and finish them." Nyssa said.

"I think you deserve the rest of the day off. Go have fun with our friends." Shoto said.

"Would you like me to bring you anything to eat? And you gonna be at my house today." Nyssa asked.

"Father wants to partrol with him, but yes to the food and I'll pick it up before partrol and say hi to Miki." Shoto said. Nyssa leaned over and kissed Shoto on the check.

"Thank you." Nyssa said with a faint blush on her checks and she ran out the door, quickly texting Ochaco not realizing that she left a blushing Shoto behind that he was almost as red as his scar on his face.

At a restraunt. Tsu, Jiro, and Toru nearly tackled Nyssa to the ground when they saw her as her, Ochacu, Momo, and Mina walked to the restraunt. The girls were happy to be reunited and went to find a table.

They sat at a table and ordered drinks. Nyssa started explaining everything with what happened to her as they got their drinks and waited for their food. Mina nearly squealed when Nyssa mentioned Miki.

"You have pictures?" Ochaco asked. Nyssa pulled out her phone and showed a picture she took of Miki and Shoto playing a game. "She's adorable and looks like Shoto took a liking to her."

"He did. He almost moved in after meeting her. He's over every day." Nyssa said. The girls giggled.

"How old is she?" Jiro asked.

"Four." Nyssa said.

"She's around my son's name." Jiro said. Jiro and Denki had gotten married and had a son around Miki's age. "We'll have to do a playdate sometime." Nyssa agreed.

"Well we could do today so all of us could meet her." Tsu said.

"Yes. That would be fun." Toru said, waving her gloves around.

"I think its a good idea." Nyssa said. The girls smiled and Nyssa sit listening as her friends told her what they beeen doing along with the others. She couldn't help but smile.

"Did you have any friends when you were with your ex?" Toru asked.

"I became friends with Touga." Nyssa said. Some of the girls gasped. "She's not that bad once you get to know her. She was there through the labor. My ex never showed up for when Miki was born. It was difficult being away."

"I bet Shoto was happy you were back. You two were so close in school. Surprised you didn't end with him." Jiro said. Nyssa looked away as the food was brought to them.

"Trust me there's a lot of things I wished would of happened. Only good thing that came out of this was Miki." Nyssa said.

"Her hair color is almost like Shoto's but blue instead of red. Has she discovered her quirk yet?" Tsu asked.

"Not yet. She should be soon." Nyssa said.

"It be inetersting to see what quirk she has." Toru said. Nyssa gave a small smile as she ate her food and got caught up with the other.

After picking Miki up from school and getting food for Shoto before he goes on partrol. Jiro went to get her son and Denki so he could see Nyssa and Ochaco messaged Izuku to meet them at Nyssa's apartment. Nyssa sent a text to Shoto warning him that she was going to have a house full of people.

Soon the house was full of the girls, Denki, Izuku, Kirashima, and Bakuga, who got dragged by Kirashima to see Miki. Bakuga didn't seem happy about it, but he promised to be on the best behavior. Denki hugged Nyssa as soon as he walked in the door.

"I heard from Jiro you were back. I was happy to hear." Denki said with a smile.

"I got pizza ordered for later if you guys are staying for supper." Nyssa said.

"Get off me peepsqueak." Bakuga's voice yelled and Miki's giggles came. Nyssa and Denki looked to see Nyssa and a young boy that was the spitting image of his father hanging on Bakuga. A vein was popping out out of Bakugo's head. "Is that yours and Jiro's boy?"

"Yep. That's Mateo." Jiro said with a smirk. Bakugo was dragging teh kids across the floor with them giggling. "Don't worry. He might have a temper, but he goes easy on kids."

"I heard that!" Bakugo yelled, glaring at Jiro as he held Miki up by the back of her shirt.

"Bakugo. Play nice." Kirishima said. The door opened and Shoto stepped in.

"You weren't kidding with the house full." Shoto said, closing the door. Nyssa smiled.

"Shoto!" Miki yelled as Bakugo set her on the ground, and ran to hug Shoto. Shoto hugged her.

"Hey kid. I can't stay long. I have to go patrol tonight." Shoto said. Miki pouted. "I'll have the night off tomorrow and we can continue the game. Go have fun." Miki smiled and ran. Shoto's friends watched with interest. Bakugo had pulled Mateo off him and Mateo was grumbling. Shoto came up to Nyssa.

"I got the food in the fridge." Nyssa said.

"Thank you. I will be late coming to the office tomorrow." Shoto said.

"Alright. Be safe out there." Nyssa said.

"I will." Shoto said. Shoto grabbed his food and gave Miki a final hug. He walked out after saying by to the others. Nyssa watched him go.

"Are you sure you two aren't a couple?" Ochaco asked, making her jump. She looked at her friend and saw Tsu and Momo with Ochaco.

"We're just friends." Nyssa said.

"Doesn't look like it." Tsu said.

"Come on, Nyssa. You two always liked each other and never admitted. Now your back, looks like it rekindled." Momo said. Nyssa felt her checks red and she turned away from her friends.

"I don't know what your talking about." Nyssa said as she watched Mateo and Miki playing with Izuku, Denki, Kirashima, and Bakugo. She didn't miss her friends sharing a knowing smile behind her.
