"He's here! It's him!"

"Lily, grab Harry and go. I'll try to fight him off…"

Screams.

"Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!"

"Step aside, you foolish girl… step aside now!"

"Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead-"

"Avada Kedavra!"

A shrill scream. Silence.

A pair of cold eyes staring at him.

The wand raised.

And lowered.

Then blackness again. Harry's mind replayed memories through his head. Then blackness in between.

He stared into a mirror. Something cold and hard was in his hand.

The man removed his purple turban and slowly turned around.

The other face jeered at him.

"Join me now… or face your parents fate."

Two familiar faces in the mirror…they faded.

"I'll never join you."

"Kill him!"

The man with two faces launched himself at him.

"Ahhh!"

"Kill him, you fool!"

"His hands, they burn!"

"AHHHH!"

The figure crumbled to the ground. Silence.

Silence.

The stone glinted at him.

Silence.

A strong wind penetrated him, freezing him, going through him.

Lord Voldemort escaped.

Blackness. Then, a cold, wet floor was beneath him.

"Kill the boy."

A menacing hiss.

Fawkes. Fawkes, help me.

"Look what Dumbledore sends little Potter. A hat, and a silly bird."

"What?"

A hiss full of pain.

"Ahh. The basilisk may be blinded, but it can still hear you!"

Through the pipes. Slithering toward him. Trapped.

Trapped.

No way out.

Everything was a blur. He somehow made it out.

Out of the pipes. To face it.

The sword was in his hand.

Into its mouth. A desperate hiss.

It was dead.

Its fang had found its target.

His arm was bleeding and poisoned.

The girl with red hair woke up.

Who was she?

Who…

The deep darkness has taken him again. He was in an old shack.

The dog growled.

"It's not a dog. Harry it's a trap! He's the dog…he's an Animagus!"

A trap.

He was fooled.

Anger.

He killed my parents.

Traitor.

His wand soared away from him.

The explanation.

The story.

"I believe you."

The shock.

My godfather.

"We must go."

A howl.

Full moon.

"Professor Lupin?!"

A howl.

A dog fought the werewolf.

A faraway howl.

The werewolf ran away.

The dog became a man.

Who was the man?

Who…

Dementors everywhere.

Sucking out his soul…

A glow in the distance.

They were saved…

Complete blackness came again. It then became black as night.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"Expelliarmus!"

The connection.

The vibrating.

You mustn't let go.

A boy his age appeared.

Then a muggle.

Then a witch.

Next two familiar faces. They told him what to do.

Running.

The portkey.

He grabbed the boy his age.

A jerk.

Hogwarts. They were back.

The quidditch field faded into utter darkness. Then, into a room.

The pain.

His forehead.

"Master, I'm sorry! I didn't know he smashed the prophecy!"

"It's no use. He can't hear you!"

More pain.

"Can't I, Potter?"

Lord Voldemort.

He was helpless.

The statue. Saving him.

He was saved by a wizard with a white beard and blue eyes.

The duel.

Statues protecting the wizard.

Fawkes.

Voldemort disappearing.

"Stay where you are, Harry!"

The pain.

White knives on his forehead.

Dread.

He was trapped in the coils of a snake.

"Kill me now, Dumbledore. If death is nothing, kill the boy."

Pain beyond anything.

Let it end. Kill me now. I'll be with my family again…

Then he was back.

A snake no longer.

The wizard looking at him with compassion.

Who was he?

Who…

The blue eyes stared at him for a while, troubling him deeply. They were important…he must remember. But then darkness took over.

Then his sixth year encounter played back in his head.

Thus every year he had dreamed but his seventh.

He never dreamed of it.

Not for 3 long years.

He couldn't remember.

He didn't know if he wanted to.
