An Attempt at Happiness

She is so very beautiful. Every man in Rohan can see it - that golden hair, those deathly eyes and the smileless mouth. What is not to love?

Ever I must lurk in shadow, though due to luck I may catch glimpses of her at her Uncle's side whenever I wish. She will never look at the ugly mask of a man who was once, I think, handsome. So is the fate of my curse.

We both serve the same man, only my strings are pulled by another. No one will ever be able to pull her strings but herself.
