I gripped the mouse, sweat beading off my wrinkled forehead. My heart pounded in my chest, I could feel the smiley's laughter with
every beat.
"They're laughing." I thought, "They're actully laughing"
I furrowed my brow, the taste of sweet victory was hot on my tongue, and I could practically see my beautiful name in lights, the fame, the fortune.
I narrowed my eyes in concentration, the numbers were putting me in a daze, a hypnosis...but through it all i could still hear them Laughing...I could still hear them teasing.
Anger wrentched in my stomach now, creeping up to my throat as I let out a long breath, I could see the flags, sailing brilliantly in the wind, The flags of life...the flags of sweet victory.
I placed the pointer on the small gray box, I was nervous now, afraid, excited, and my eyes darted back and forth.
"Which One?!" I thought, "Which one IS it"
I swallowed, sweat creeping down my head and finally finding a home on my collar...I had decided.
In one swift motion I clicked.
I clicked.
I clicked once more.
I must have clicked a thousand times, but there was no response.

A little part of me died that day, but I can sometimes hear the smiley's when I'm in bed, laughing, heckling.
I died, the day my computer froze.
