Klaus looked up from the book he was reading in the CES library. A girl, about 6 years old, came up to him. She was tall for her age; she had stunningly beautiful cyan eyes and waist-long wavy red hair, with gold streaks shot through it. "Hi," the girl said. "Can I join you? Violet Baudelaire has taken my usual space."
