A/N: Here is the second installment, much shorter than the first and from Christine's point of view.
Christine Daae
The Opera Ghost did not see, but I hesitated
before leaving the dungeon,
Reaching out sorrowfully to comfort him,
But Raoul beckoned and tore me away.
I was wed to him soon after,
And I gave birth to two lovely children,
One of which I named Erik
After the man who taught me so much.
Yes, he was a man, not a monster;
A monster cannot feel such passion for anything
Whether it be for music or for a woman.
I loved him as well, but more like a father,
For he filled the emptiness within me
That had formed with the death
of my real father,
Whom I missed terribly.
An unseen genius, Erik gave to me
the privilege of performing his music,
The most hauntingly beautiful notes
any being could ever encounter.
And I pray that wherever he dwells now,
He knows that I forgave him long ago,
And that I regret not being able to fully repay him
For the gifts of his music, his teachings,
And for his undying love.
