Klaus walked into the tower, his brown eyes wide with fear. He gently opened the door, to see Duncan tied to a chair, bound and gagged. Klaus sighed. Where was his pocket knife? He went through his jacket pocket, pulling out a dagger. He slit the ropes binding Duncan and then ungagged him. A shadow creeped up behind the boys. Klaus turned suddenly.
"Sunset?" he asked.
"Klaus, leave!" she commanded. "I'm a monster. I don't want to hurt you, like I hurt my 6 best friends. Please. If Violet finds out I am with you, she'll kill us both!"
Klaus smiled. "Sunset. Is that why you did that? You kidnapped Duncan? So you could lure me and we could talk?"
She nodded.
"Okay," he said. "Duncan, leave us for a moment please."
