Chapter 22: Reminder of What Matters
Shisui slowly steps out of his coffin as he brushes away the dust on his shoulders.
He then turns his attention to the person in front of him.
It was a face that he has not seen for a very long time.
Shisui "Hishiro… is that you?"
Shisui asked Rengetsu in confusion.
Rengetsu's gave out a sad smile as he meets face to face with Shisui.
Rengestu "It's been a long time… Shisui."
Before Shisui can reply, Orochimaru quickly shove a talisman into Shisui's head.
Orochimaru "Hate to cut your reunion short but this isn't the time for a talk. If you want to kill me, you'll have to kill him first. It is rather ironic don't you think? After all, he is the person who saved you from the clutches of death. Without him, you would have ended up like your siblings… in the very place that we now stand."
Rengetsu clench his fist in anger as he swings his scythe.
Rengetsu Shut up!
Rengetsu quickly dash towards Orochimaru in anger.
But before Rengetsu could reach Orochimaru, Orochimaru quickly command Shisui to intervene.
With lightning speed, Shisui quickly attack Rengetsu but Rengetsu manage to dodge the attack in time.
After dodging Shisui's attack, Rengetsu swiftly counter attack with his scythe.
Shisui, however, was able to dodge the strike with ease using the Body Flicker technique.
Orochimaru "That was rather dangerous. One strike from that wretched scythe would have ended the battle. Perhaps I should use a different method of attack."
Under Orochimaru's control, Shisui quickly use the Afterimage Clone Technique to create ten clones of himself.
It is obvious to Rengetsu that Orochimaru is planning for an indirect attack rather than having Shisui face Rengetsu head on.
Knowing that he can't compete with Shisui's speed, Regentsu quickly summon his Ray Spheres in attempt to deal with the clones.
Regentsu "Koton! Kosenkyu no Jutsu!"
Flashes of light can be seen from miles away as the battle ensued.
At first, the Ray Spheres manage to take out three of Shisui's Afterimage Clones in their initial attacks.
However, the other clones were able to quickly to adapt to the attacks and begin to dodge the Ray Spheres with their swift speed.
Having read Rengetsu's attack patterns, Orochimaru begin to send Shisui's clones to attack Rengetsu head on while having Shisui attack Rengetsu's blind spot.
The relentless attack was overwhelming for Rengetsu.
Rengetsu manage to dodge all the lethal attacks but he is forced to bear the small blows.
Slowly, Shisui's impeccable speed begin to force Rengetsu into a defensive battle.
It's to the point where Rengetsu could do nothing but defend against Shisui's onslaught.

By the time Team 9 reach the abandon orphanage, everything was already completely destroyed.
At the center of it all is an epic battle between powerful Shinobi's.
As Boruto take a look around the debris, he saw Mitsuki lying unconscious on the ground.
Worried, Boruto quickly rush towards the battlefield in attempt to save Mitsuki.
But before he can exit the forest, he is quickly stopped by Konohamaru.
Boruto "Let me go!"
Boruto shout out angrily.
Konohamaru held tightly onto Boruto, refusing to let Boruto go.
Konohamaru "You idiot! You'll get yourself killed!"
Sarada quickly nod her head in agreement.
Sarada "This isn't your average jonin Boruto. We're talking about someone who is as powerful as a Kage. Fighting is suicide."
Boruto "Like I care! Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

Refusing to listen, Boruto quickly summon a shadow clone to attack Konohamaru.
With the shadow clone's help, Boruto manage to free himself and continue his way towards the battlefield.
But before he can get close, he is quickly stopped by Konohamaru once more.
Boruto "Get out of my-"
Before Boruto can finish his sentence, he is fiercely struck in the face by an angry Konohamaru.
The blow was packed with so much force that it sent Boruto flying backwards.
Even so, Boruto's resolve did not waver.
Boruto quickly tries to back up on his feet in attempt to start again.
But before Boruto can even stand, Konohamaru was already in front of him.
Konohamaru "You clearly didn't learn anything from your training with the Sixth, did you? Even though you know that you are powerless, you still want to recklessly charge in. While it is your choice to do whatever you want with your life, that's not the same for us. Once you give away your position, the enemy will be alert to our presence as well. Don't you know that your action is putting not only yours but our lives in danger as well?"
Sarada, who've just caught up with them, quickly step forward to scold Boruto.
Sarada "Stop being stubborn you usuratonkachi. Now isn't the time for reckless moves. We need to wait and time our actions properly."
Boruto, who has finally got back on his feet, quickly stood up to meet both Konohamaru's and Sarada's gaze.
Boruto "And while you two wait for your golden opportunity, Mitsuki is out there by himself. What if Mitsuki gets killed before you get a chance to do anything? Will you still say that it's better to wait and not do anything at all?"
Upon hearing Boruto's reasoning, Sarada and Konohamaru weren't able to say anything.
Boruto "If the enemy is strong, it's even more reason for me to fight. Even if I can't do anything, even if I die, at least I'll die trying to save my friend. Cause like the Sixth's has taught me, those who abandon the rules are scums. But those who abandon their comrades are worse than scums!"
After shouting his thoughts, Boruto quickly rush pass Konohamaru and continue his way towards the battlefield.
This time, Konohamaru couldn't bring himself to stop Boruto.
He remain still and silent as he contemplate on what Boruto had said.
Sarada, on the other hand, gave out a stressful sigh as she shaking her head in annoyance.
Sarada "Sigh. It can't be helped… Boruto! Wait! I'm coming with you."
Sarada quickly rush after Boruto, leaving Konohamaru behind.
As Konohamaru turn around to look at Boruto's back, he can't help but be reminded of the past.
Konohamaru "He's… He's just like Naruto."
With that thought, Konohamaru quickly follow after his two students.
