Volume 5:
Chapter 21: Battle of Lothal
We then see Rey in the X-Wing. She had just arrived at Lothal.
Rey see's a lot of Star Destroyers.
"Oh my, that's a ton of Sith cruisers", One-One said.
"We're gonna die, aren't we….", one-one said.
"No we're not…. The only thing dying today is the First Order and the Sith", Rey said.
Rey began flying down to the planet.
Rey then landed the X-Wing in a space hidden by rocks.
She jumped out of the ship and looked around.
"One-One, stay here", Rey said.
One-One said, "okay, Mistress Rey."
Rey then took out her lightsaber.
She held it close as she felt the force guiding her to where the portal to the World Between Worlds was….
….
We then see the New Republic Cruisers and the Resistance ships emerge from hyperspace.
Lando was now piloting the Falcon, while Ani was preparing to fight on the ground with many others.
"Lola you stay here with the others", Ani said to his droid.
Lola beeped as she nuzzled his face.
Ani smiled as he pets his droid.
"I love you too, Lola", Ani said.
Lando said, "we've arrived at Lothal."
The group then see's all the Star Destroyers.
Lilith said, "oh my."
"That's a lot of ships", Eda said.
Lando said, "but there are more of us…."
As if on cue, more ships emerged from Hyperspace.
A few included the Ghost, the Mantis, etc.
Ani said, "this turns the tide in our favor."
"It sure does indeed", Lilith said.
Ani noticed several gunships racing towards the ground and said, "fly low so I can join the fight on the ground."
Chewie nods his head as he flies the Falcon low.
Ani got ready to disembark.
"Be careful Ani", Eda said.
Ani said, "I will. You too."
"May the force be with you", Lilith said.
Ani smiled.
The Falcon was soon at ground level. Ani jumped out, and the Falcon flew back towards the aerial battle.
Ani then sensed for Rey's location and he sensed she was near.
"Ani!"
He turned to see quite the sight.
Finn ran forward with all of the reformed Scouts behind. They wore rebel outfits in place of armor, but still wore their helmets that were all adorned with red streaks across them. The only Scout without a helmet was Jaina.
"Woah, new looks for the newbies? Cool outfits. I love 'em", Ani said.
Finn chuckled.
He then asked, "you seen Rey yet?"
"No, but I sense she is near", Ani said.
Finn said, "we better find her as soon as we can."
"Well then, let's go", Ani said.
Ani ran off as Finn told the Scouts, "help the Jedi fight the First Order troops."
"Roger that, Finn", Jaina said.
Finn smiled before he followed Ani.
….
We then see Rey again and this time she feels the dark presence growing stronger as she gets closer.
She came to stand upon a hill overlooking the remains of a temple.
She saw a dozen figures standing there.
The Knights of Ren, Kylo Ren, a restrained Luke, and Belos, hanging by his harness machine.
"Master Luke", Rey shouted.
They all turned to see Rey there.
Luke shouted, "Rey! No!"
Belos yelled, "get her!"
Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren approached Rey.
Belos growled, "not you, Ren. I'll need your help in there."
Kylo Ren then walked back to Belos.
The Knights began to surround Rey as she ignited her yellow blade.
The knights began to fight Rey. She blocked each strike as best as she could.
Belos watched the fight with a smirk on his face. It was hidden by his mask, of course.
One Knight was about to stab Rey when….
SLICE!
Their head was sliced clean off!
Rey turned around and saw Ani!
Ani said, "need a hand?"
"Gladly", Rey said.
Rey and Ani stood together, ready to fight.
The Knights of Ren then lunged at the two.
The two Jedi were able to fend them off as Finn arrived and began to fight another Knight.
Ani twirled his lightsaber.
Finn said, "let's dance, nerf herders!"
The Knights charged towards them again.
The three Jedi fought against them, their blades a whirlwind of power!
Finn was battling two knights, he easily dodged their attacks. More accurately, they were trying to avoid HIS attacks!
"These Knights are no Sith", Finn said.
Ani said, "you can say that again!"
Ani had just disarmed a Knight! He then used the force to send them flying into the air!
"Too easy", Ani said.
Rey used her double bladed saber expertly against the Knights.
The Knights couldn't land a single hit on Rey. She was practically unstoppable!
Rey then killed two Knights.
Finn then managed to blast a Knight in the chest!
Ani then used the force to send three flying into the wall and then he threw his lightsaber at them. This sliced them all in half before he called his saber back into his hand.
"That's all of them", Finn said.
The others nodded as they turned back towards the temple.
Belos growled to Luke, "open it…."
"No", Luke said.
Belos growled, "do it, or else…."
"Never….", Luke said.
Luke glared at the Sith.
Belos yelled in rage as he shocked Luke with force lightning.
Luke screamed in pain.
Belos growled, "open the portal, or the next blast will be towards your beloved nephew!"
"Uncle Luke", Ani shouted as he saw his uncle get hit by the force lightning.
Luke saw Ani, and couldn't bear to see his nephew hurt like this. With a primal scream, he threw his hand towards the mural of the Mortis Gods that sat on the wall.
Then the mural started to glow.
Several wolves painted into the mural began to run around in a circle!
Belos began to cackle.
He exclaimed, "finally! My time will be nigh!"
"We have to stop him", Rey shouted.
Ani, Rey and Finn ran forward!
"Stop them", Belos said to Kylo Ren.
Kylo ignited his saber and ran at them!
The three Jedi began to duel Kylo Ren. Their sabers clashed wildly as the portal slowly began to open.
"Oh Kriff, the portal is opening", Rey shouted.
Ani begged, "Ben, please, we have to stop Belos!"
"Don't call me that", Kylo roared in anger.
Finn yelled, "don't you realize what'll happen if Belos succeeds?! We all die! Including you!"
Kylo then thought about it for a moment.
Soon, the portal was opened! Belos laughed maniacally as he grabbed Luke and actually floated off of the harness and flew inside!
Rey yelled, "no!"
Ani quickly pushed Kylo away as he, Finn and Rey ran to the portal!
Kylo Ren then quickly got up and ran after the three.
One by one, they all jumped into the portal!
….
Meanwhile, the Jedi were all fighting on the ground.
They and their allies were taking out many Scouts with ease.
Raine and Ahsoka were sticking close to Plo Koon.
They wanted to make sure nothing bad happened to the aged Jedi master.
Ahsoka said, "these guys just keep coming!"
"There's no end to them", Raine said.
Plo Koon said, "just keep fighting!"
Ahsoka and Raine nod their heads as they keep fighting.
We then see Sam fighting the scouts with his two lightsabers.
He was absolutely unstoppable!
No Scout stood a chance against the grandmaster.
He had that title for a reason!
Sam then force pushed a group of scouts away.
Sam smirked and said, "I've still got it."
Sam quickly deflected a blaster shot and he turned to see who it was…. It was Hux!
"I should have guessed it was you", Sam said.
Hux growled, "Skywalker…."
Sam held his lightsabers in a reverse grip.
He said, "been awhile, hasn't it?"
Hux held up his blaster at Sam.
Hux growled, "I've been looking forward to this moment…."
Sam asked, "why do you hate me so much?"
Hux growled, "you ruined my career in the Empire!"
Sam asked, "what do you mean I ruined your career?"
"Whenever I tried to show your father or impress him with my ideas to help the empire, you always ruined it", Hux growled.
Sam said, "I was a child!"
Hux growled and began to fire at Sam.
Sam deflected each blast.
"Fire on the Grandmaster", Hux shouted at a few nearby scouts.
Sam started deflecting their blasts.
More scouts kept firing at Sam.
Sam moved as fast as lightning.
He was thankful his mother Ahsoka taught him how to defend himself against blaster shots. All that training really paid off.
Hux was growing angry every second.
He wanted Sam dead!
One scout managed to shoot Sam on the leg!
Sam yelled as he fell to one knee.
Hux began to smirk. He began to point his blaster at Sam.
Just as he was about to pull the trigger….
"Oh no ya don't!"
Hux was then hit in the head by a staff!
He groaned, "what the?!"
He saw Prime and Alastor!
Alastor then waved his hands and performed a spell that sent the scouts flying!
Prime and Alastor ran to Sam.
The two help Sam stand up.
Sam said, "my heroes…."
"No one hurts our husband", Prime said.
Alastor yelled, "yeah!"
Sam smiled and gave his husbands a kiss on the lips.
Hux growled in rage.
Before he could do anything, Sam used the force to freeze him in place!
Two rebel soldiers ran over as Sam said, "cuff him!"
The rebel soldiers then cuffed Hux's hands.
Alastor said, "you'll be tried for your crimes when all of this is over, Hux."
Hux growled in anger as he tried to get free.
"All I have ever wanted was to get revenge on him", Hux screamed in anger as he glared at Sam.
Sam said, "ain't that a failure…."
Hux screamed in anger as the rebel soldiers took him away.
Alastor said, "that's one problem solved."
"I hope Ani and the others are able to save my brother and stop Belos", Sam said.
The others all nodded.
….
We then see Poe and Padme leading a squad of ships.
"We have to destroy the command ship", Poe yelled over the comlink.
Padme said, "we're with ya, Poe!"
"Count us in", a familiar voice said.
Poe asked, "wait, it can't be?"
Padme asked, "Zorii?!"
"Who else do you think it is….", Zorii said.
In her cockpit, Babu Frik jumped up and yelled, "he heeeeey!'
"Alright", Poe laughed.
Padme said, "follow us, Zorii!"
Poe and Padme began to lead Zorii and the other ships towards the large Star Destroyer
They were determined to take it down!
"There has to be a weak spot", Padme said.
Poe said, "their power cores are the best thing to focus on."
"Okay everyone, I have a plan", Poe said.
Poe began to explain his plan….
….
Rey groaned as she woke up and slowly stood up.
As she did, she was amazed by what she saw. She was standing upon a bright white bridge, with an endless black void around her!
She whispered, "is this….", when she heard some nearby groaning.
She saw Ani and Finn. She quickly helped them up.
Finn groaned, "what happened?"
"We're here", Rey said.
Ani said, "the World Between Worlds…."
The three looked around and they began to hear various voices.
Some familiar, some unknown.
"We have to find my uncle Luke", Ani said.
Finn and Rey nodded as the three ran along the bridge. As they did, they saw multiple bridges leading up, down and all around. And as they went along, they saw various "windows" around them.
"Woah, this is amazing", Finn said as he saw the various "windows" that showed important events in the galaxy's history.
Ani said, "Grandma Ahsoka always told me about this place. This is where all moments in history converge. But to change any of these moments could cause harmful consequences."
"Then we must find Master Luke and stop Belos", Rey said.
Finn said, "easier said than done" as the trio continued onwards….
….
Meanwhile, Kylo had awoken.
He was standing in front of a specific window. One showing him killing his father.
Kylo could hear everything that was being shown in that window.
But that's when he heard something unexpected.
"Hey, kid."
They turn, and see a shocking sight.
Han.
Kylo asked, "dad?"
Han said, "I miss you, son."
Kylo's breath begins to tremble. He was frozen in his spot.
He managed to say, "your son is dead."
Han chuckles quietly, "no. Kylo Ren is dead. My son is alive."
Kylo said, "I saw you fall. You're just a memory."
Han said, "your memory. Come home."
"It's too late", Kylo said.
Han said, "it's never too late. Just ask your grandfather…."
Kylo began to cry.
He said, "I know what I have to do…. But I don't know if I have the strength to do it."
Han touches Kylo's face and smiles.
"You do", Han said.
Kylo cried, "Dad…."
Han smiled and said, "I know…."
Kylo looks down at his lightsaber, he closes his eyes, and with a cry of fury, he throws his red saber into the void, never to be seen again.
When he turns Han is gone.
Kylo Ren is dead.
Ben Solo lives.
….
Back on Lothal….
The battle was getting more intense.
First we see the Ghost shooting down several TIE Fighters.
Hera and Zeb were in the cockpit.
Zeb shouted, "these losers still don't understand do they!?"
Hera simply said, "nope!"
Hera and Zeb kept firing at the TIE fighters!
We then see the Mantis. It was providing cover fire for several X-Wings.
"Keep it up, it's working", Cal shouted
Greez chuckled, "Greezy money, baby!"
"Here comes another TIE", Merrin shouted.
Greez said, "the more the merrier", as BD-1 and the ship's pet Bogling were tossed around.
We then see Din Djarin. He was flying his own ship lower to the ground, shooting at Scouts.
Several Scouts tried to run, but they were not fast enough.
Din shot them down easily.
"Too easy", Din said.
Indeed it was.
We then see Wedge and a few more rebels. They were easily taking on the enemy.
It was safe to say that the New Republic and the Resistance were winning.
They could only hope Belos would soon be dealt with.
….
Back in the World Between Worlds….
Rey, Finn and Ani heard the clash of sabers.
Finn asked, "where is it coming from?"
Ani pointed and said, "there!"
On a bridge below them, Luke was dueling Belos as his body hung in the air like a marionette.
"Come on, we have to go help him", Rey said.
The others nodded as they jumped down to the bridge.
Luke tried to defend himself from one of Belos' force lighting attacks.
Belos cackled as he stood before a window of his death!
Belos yelled, "once I kill you, I'll be able to prevent my death, and rule the galaxy!"
"We don't think so, Belos!"
Ani sliced at Belos!
Belos barely avoided the attack. It sliced the top of one of his helmet's horns!
Belos growled in anger.
Rey said, "surrender, Belos."
Belos roared, "never!"
All four Jedi stood together, ready to fight.
"It's time to put an end to all this", Luke said.
Belos ignited another saber and growled, "stand together; die together!"
The four Jedi then ran towards Belos. They entered a fierce fight with him as several battles of old played out in various windows around them.
Rey then blocked a strike from Belos.
Finn jumped over Belos in an attempt to strike him…. But Belos sent him flying onto his back with the force.
"Finn", Ani shouted.
Belos went to strike Finn down…. But something stopped the saber!
Belos turned around and saw Ben Solo!
He had used the force to stop the saber!
Belos growled, "Ren…. What're you doing?"
Ben said, "my name…. Is Ben."
Ben then force pushed Belos away.
Luke exclaimed as he pulled something out of his belt, "Ben!"
Ben then saw his uncle hold out his old lightsaber.
Ben pulled it into his hand with the force.
"I'm gonna end you all", Belos roared.
Belos shot lightning all over the place.
"Look out", Rey shouted.
Everyone kept dodging as best as they could.
Belos then thrust his hand towards Ani and pulled him with the force, grasping him by the throat.
He began choking him!
"ANI", the others shouted.
Belos growled, "you've been nothing but a thorn in my side!"
Ani tried to get free.
Rey ran forward and yelled, "let him go!"
Belos then used the force to choke Rey.
Finn yelled, "Rey! Ani!"
Belos then started to feel a strange power.
Energy flowing into him.
He then let go of Ani and Rey. Energy crackles between his fingers.
Finn and Ben ran to the two.
Ben asked, "what did you do?"
Belos looked at his hands.
He smirked evilly.
"This power….", Belos whispered.
His fingers began to heal!
He then stares at Rey, Ani, Finn and Ben
He smiled wickedly under his mask.
Luke could sense what Belos was about to do.
He yelled, "no, wait!"
Belos then hits Luke with force lightning.
This sends Luke onto his back.
Belos then raises his hands towards the four.
He yelled, "your power is mine!"
He then begins to drain the life force out of the four.
They all screamed in pain.
Luke saw all this and screamed out, "NOOOO!"
Belos cackled as his body returned to his former glory!
….
Sam freezes in place as he senses through the force…. His son is in pain….
The rest of the Jedi feel it too….
Ahsoka whispered, "oh no…."
"Ani…. Rey…. Finn….", Raine whispered.
Leia, as she was leading some troops, whispered, "Ben…."
….
Back in the World between Worlds….
All four young Jedi were on the ground, weak as Hell.
Luke then saw, to his horror, Belos now looked like how he did when he faced Sam, him and Anakin.
Belos cackled as he felt much more powerful.
Belos exclaimed, "extraordinary! I don't even need to bring myself back now!"
He then looked down at Ben.
Ben tried to get away from Belos.
Belos growled, "and starting with you, I'll eradicate the Skywalker bloodline!"
Luke shouted, "NOOOO!"
Belos used the force to fling Ben off of the bridge!
