Hey guys. Thanks for the reviews. The first three pages, including 'The Beginning' will start with the main character as a toddler, and a little boy. After that, it'll all start from late primary school to secondary school (you might have some sexual scenes there), college, and adult life. But it may take a very long time to get to that stage.
Anyway, hope you enjoy this.

May 25, 1983.
It was a little girl's birthday at Stoke Newington Methodist Church Nursery. Kofi Mensah, the son of Emmanuel, along with his best friend Rory Smith, was enjoying the party along with the staff, who did the decorations for it, and the other toddlers with him, which were many. The staff always did a party when it was a child's birthday. But what they didn't always do, in fact never did, was let a toddler help them, even at the tiniest of things, because of safety regulations. You couldn't blame them; the British government put in too many rules for them to follow. Some were good, some weren't.
So imagine their surprise when they found Kofi, sitting down in the carpeted hall, blowing up a balloon for them with helium in his mouth. He didn't know this obviously, he was a toddler. And they didn't know either until he tied it up himself, and let go of it, letting it fly slowly but smoothly up until it hit the ceiling. He was laughing, and managing to stand up, walked quickly to the birthday girl and hugged her.
To the staff, it was strange that this toddler, who is not really supposed to know this yet, can blow a balloon, can blow helium from his mouth, and tie it. Tying balloons was even a problem for some adults. They also found it hard getting off that beautifully plated, strong, polished looking gauntlet that was on his right arm, a beautifully crafted diamond about four centimetres in circumference forged on it, with small metallic wings at its side.
They didn't know until after the nursery closed that day that they weren't the only ones that knew, apart from Emmanuel, who, along with his beautiful wife Beulah, has been getting this information and more personally from Raiden, who had vowed to be their guardian.
Parents also saw this, particularly the girl's father, Martin Schumann, from Germany, Emmanuel and Rory's mother, Vivian, from the United Kingdom. Also best friends, they found they shared one special thing between them – they've all been found by Raiden, and given the same powers, Emmanuel being the most powerful of the three. However, they were all given their powers differently.
They were all watching the toddlers, hanging by the wall and having their arms crossed, smiling. Emmanuel was in the middle.
'It's nice finding that we, best friends, have children that are going to be best friends too,' he said, not looking at the friends who nodded in agreement.
Martin, who had a medium build with muscles, spiky white hair and a white moustache, watching his wife, Yuki (who was from Japan), at the opposite end of the corridor trying and failing to get her daughter to her, turned his attention to his daughter, who was closely playing with Rory, and was leaving Kofi to play by himself.
'I fear for your son, Manny,' he said. 'Hitomi and Rory seem to leave him alone these days. Either he wants them to, or they just leave him to play with each other.' Martin usually called Emmanuel 'Manny' just to shorten it.
'He doesn't seem to mind,' came his reply from Emmanuel. 'In fact, I think he knows something about them we don't. He is laughing at them,' he added, before Martin could reply. 'Maybe he thinks they are going to fall in love when they are older. Maybe he thinks, or knows, that they are in love.'
Then Vivian spoke for the first time since the start of the conversation. 'I can't think of toddlers falling in love, to be honest,' she said in amusement. 'I can't think of Rory and Hitomi err...' she fell silent, not wanting to say what just came into her head.
Martin and Emmanuel roared with laughter, maybe because they read her mind, maybe because they thought she was going to say what she was going to say, maybe they thought of her as a dirty woman for a second. Whatever it was, it was in both their minds at the same time.
'For a... minute there,' Emmanuel said, trying in vain to catch his breath, 'I thought... you were... going to say... something... based on the topic of... paedophilia!' He laughed so hard he clutched his stomach for support. Martin however, wasn't laughing, but pretended to be shock in amusement,
'How the fuck did you read my mind?!' he said in pretence.
Maybe he said it a little too loud, for as soon as he said that, there was silence in and out the Nursery. Even outside, where most of the time was noisy and polluted, was silent in shock. Strangely even the toddlers were quiet. Everyone was staring at him.
Martin was someone who, having learned from Emmanuel was normally a calm person who rarely lost his temper. But the silence easily bugged him.
'What the fuck are you looking at?' he said in annoyance.
Almost immediately the whole world went back to normal. The parents were conversing about their children, the toddlers went backs to their smiles and gurgles, and the staff resumed to their jobs. They seemed to fear Martin's assumed temper. At the same time, Kofi tugged on Emmanuel's trousers. Emmanuel was staring at Martin in emotionless shock, and was distracted by his son's tugging.
'You want to go home now?' he asked, in a way which all parents would say to their babies.
Kofi stretched his arms in excitement. Emmanuel picked him up, and found Kofi pointing at Rory and Hitomi.
'Yes,' he said, 'that's Rory and Hitomi!' He was excited that Kofi could show him things.
But Kofi was clapping next. This isn't excitement or pride, Emmanuel thought. He's trying to tell me something.
Kofi was trying to tell him something. Emmanuel tried to interpret what Kofi was trying to say.
'Rory and Hitomi... yes, are what?' Kofi was clapping more excitedly.
'What, get together?' Emmanuel asked in amusement.
Kofi was clapping again, but it was for being proud of his father. Emmanuel was also proud of his son – he can tell you things, and that's not normal for a toddler.
Emmanuel turned to Vivian, and was about to say something when the pastor of the church, Pastor Wilson, a black man with a thick moustache and bald at the top of his head, came to talk to him.
'Can we go to my room, please? It's about your son,' he said happily.
When they got in there, it was a big, neat room with a desk and two comfortable chairs at opposite end at one corner, a settee at another and the wall covered with books of possibly every kind.
The pastor decided to get straight to the point once they had sat down at his desk.
'Your child is the most gifted I've ever seen,' he said, grinning widely. 'He stops arguments, makes children smile when they cry, turns enemies into friends... there are a lot more I could tell you but...' He couldn't keep himself on the chair with the excitement he had, and was about to say more when Emmanuel interrupted him.
'I've realised,' he said in excitement. 'He just told me that his fellow friends are going to be in love when they grow.' He laughed, thinking of the thoughts Kofi had in his head, if he had any. 'Now that's something to tell him when he's older!'
His excite gave the pastor time to keep cool, so he sat down smiling.
'Let me tell you something,' he said. 'This boy is going to change the world one day. He is going to be great one day. You look after him, and do it well.'
'Now let me tell you something,' Emmanuel said, still smiling. 'If you drop a stone into a river, it will change the whole structure of the world, no matter how small the stone is, or how small it changes the world.'
Only very open-minded, philosophical people understood this. The pastor was one of them, since he had a PhD in Philosophy and Theology.
'I'm being serious though,' the pastor said, 'he is one of three gifted children, and... well, they look like they've gotten along with each other very well'.
Until now, Emmanuel didn't know that Hitomi and Rory were also very gifted, with abilities that rivalled Kofi's own.
'And as you, Vivian and Martin are very good friends,' Pastor Wilson continued, smiling, 'I'm hoping you three keep in touch so that your children can remain the best of friends. They will change the world, no doubt.'
That night, Emmanuel had placed Kofi in the middle of the bed between him and his wife. Beulah and Kofi were asleep. He always did that – it normally gets children to have very, very close relationships with their parents. The gauntlet that was fixed on Kofi's right arm was now the spirit sword, Soul Calibur. Although Emmanuel didn't like it, he placed the sword next to the toddler. Raiden told him to. It was his source of power, and would guide him for the rest of his life. He needed it close to him till the connection spell the sword was trying to do for the past year was complete. The toddler smiled, and held the sword close to him. Emmanuel yawned out of tiredness, and laid down next to the baby.
It didn't take long before Emmanuel's eyes were getting heavy. He would have turned and held the baby next to him, but he got an electric shock from Soul Calibur. Straight after that, Soul Calibur flashed repeatedly yellow. Every time it did that, Emmanuel felt like it was laughing at him. And laughing at him it was, the blade flashing white and normal as fast as an eye blink.
This has been happening everyday for the past year.
Emmanuel definitely didn't want to sleep on the settee in the room. It was very comfortable to sleep on, but he loved sleeping next to his beautiful wife and child.
This was going to be another very, very long night.
I managed to update this chapter when I had the spare time, so it could be better than what it used to be. I may be doing this on every chapter I do, so you may have to read the previous chapter and the updated one a few times. To all those that have got Dead or Alive 3 on Xbox, I've put in Hitomi and her father hopefully without leading them away from the main storyline. If you think I have, either email me or review it. If you don't know about Dead or Alive 3... go research! R&R for another chapter and it'll be better than the previous two... hopefully.
Anyway, hope you enjoy this.
