I have finally seen Wicked! It was one of Idina Menzel's last performances (sniff). I feel terrible about her injury…WE LOVE YOU IDINA!! Okay, just had to say that…
Anyway, now that I know some more about Wicked, I can write more fanfiction! I was listening to "For Good" and talking to Ms.DefyGravity11 when I was inspired to do this poem. You could say it's Elphaba's POV. Enjoy it, and please review!

These words can lead to many phrases
Some encouraging, some full of contempt.
Because I knew you...
I think of the hurtful things that could be said after:
...my life is ruined! ...my friends are gone! ...my love is dead!
Because I knew you...
In the future these words may be used to hurt
But now, in the present, they speak only good.
Because I knew you...
Never before have these words been spoken to me
Never before have I felt the joy these words bring.
Because I knew you...
Now I have heard them for the first time
Now my best friend speaks them to me.
Because I knew you...
They are not ended hatefully
But with words I find quite amazing.
Because I knew you...
Can lead to many different words
But the words of my friend are the best of them all:
