Fourth Exam: Zevil Island(Part 2)
2nd Day:
"Well, time to move out." Wendy puts on her bunny backpack.
"*Yawn* That was some good sleeping." Happy stretches, "Good thing nobody attacked us during our slumber"
"It didn't happen for now, but next time, we might need to stay a little on guard." Wendy suggested.
"Aye." Happy agreed before grabbing his bag and they headed out the cave.
(Throughout the second day, the two had trouble and couldn't find anybody.)
The third day(In the afternoon):
"We're not having any luck." Happy sighs, "We haven't found anyone at all yesterday or this morning."
"I know... but all we can do is keep looking." Wendy replied before hearing some sound in the bushes, "Hold on, happy... I hear someone behind the bush."
"You do?" Happy asks.
She nods before turning to the noise, "Uh... I know you're there behind the bush. You can come on out now."
The hunter comes out of the bushes, appearing to be a female, "Huh? How did you know I was hear?"
"She's been following us for awhile, huh." Happy now understands.
"I just happen to have great hearing." Wendy answered to her, "That's because dragon slayers have good hearing, but I don't think she'd get it." She whispers to happy.
"Aye, I totally agree." Happy nods.
"Whatever you two are whispering about, just give me your badges and I'll let you guys off." The female hunter demanded with her hand out, "I wouldn't want to hurt some little girl and her cat to get it."
"You underestimating us?!" Happy exclaims, offended.
"Forget it, we're not handing over anything." Wendy replied with a confident look.
"*Sigh* Guess I'll just-" She was gonna finish, but then #163 comes out on the opposite side from her.
"Found you now!" #163(Male) exclaims and is ready to start the badge steal, "Nowhere for you to run now."
"Now him?!" Happy turns around and spots him, "Now we're surrounded... just great."
"Hey." #163 calls out to the female examine, "You seem to be after one of them, how about we team up and take their badges?"
"Great idea." She agrees and they form up.
"They're even teaming up on us." Wendy murmurs, "So... Guess I'll have to fight them."
"And what can a little girl like you do, hmmm?" #163 teases.
"Watch and find out then." Happy grins, knowing what's next.
Wendy takes a deep breath and hurls her head back.
"What is she doing?" Female examine
was confused.
Happy grins and knows what she's gonna do.
"SKY DRAGON... ROAR!" Wendy blows from her mouth a huge hurricane towards the two.
"What?!" Both #163 and female examine exclaimed before being hit full on by the hurricane, making dirt fly everywhere and once cleared, they're knocked out.
"Woo-hoo! Way to go, wendy!" Happy jumps happily, and she giggles after letting out a breather.
They then walk over to the unconscious hunters and check through their bags.
Time to check through them." Happy checks #163's bag, but finds no badges and only takes his main tag.
"Even though they weren't our real targets, It's best to take their badges anyway." Wendy checks the female examines for any badges, "Oh, looks like she has nothing."
Happy then notices a badge slip out of the unconscious female hunter's pocket, "Oh!" He notices the number and is surprised.
"Huh?" Wendy questions.
"She was actually my target." Happy picks up her badge and reveals it to #119.
"That's the badge you were assigned to." Wendy recognizes.
"Aye. Now this saves me the trouble of having to gain 6 of them." Happy puts the two badges in his bag, "And this guy targeting me is knocked out thanks to you, so that's perfect."
"Wow, Your so lucky that your target came to you." Wendy says, referring to #119 and collects #163's badge, "It's just me now."
"Aye, but don't worry, we'll get it." Happy raises a paw, "And we should also get going cause some hunters might get drown in by the damage here from your last attack."
"Yeah, I agree." Wendy nods before they left the area very quickly.
For the rest of the day, they are back to not finding anyone and encounter another cave to sleep in.
Fourth Day:
"This day for sure!" Wendy states with a confident look.
"Somebody's raring to go." Happy notices while checking his bag.
"Yeah, today's the day I'm getting that badge." Wendy declared.
"That's the spirit." Happy raises a paw as they continue moving.
Few hours later:
"!" Wendy notices something.
"What's up?" Happy questions.
"I see a hunter over there, let's hide behind the bush." Wendy suggested before running to it.
"Aye." Happy followers her and they hide.
"Man, I haven't found anyone all day." The guy complains, named to be Izo, "Let's hope today that happens.
In the bushes, "He looks to be talking to himself." Happy notices.
"He is." Wendy answered quietly, "He probably hasn't fought anyone either."
By the time the hunter turns around, Wendy notices his badge mark, "! That's #152."
"It is?! So that mean's..." Happy trailed.
"He's my target." Wendy finished before accidentally making a sound in the bush, which alerts the hunter.
"Huh? Who's there?!" Izo is on alert.
"Darn, he caught us." Happy whispered.
"Well, I need that badge so let's get out there." Wendy suggested before going into the opening, "Heh... you caught us."
"Really? A girl and a cat?" Izo makes a confused look, "This will be an easy catch."
"Ha! That's what you think." Happy points at him, "Wendy, I'll help you take his badge since you helped get mine."
Wendy understands and smiles down at him, "Thank you."
"Oh? So I'm your target, huh." Izo now gets it, "Well, I don't go easy on brats either, but I'll try my best to knock you out. Same goes for the cat." He then runs at them without no weapon.
"Here he comes." Wendy picks up a pebble and happy grabs here and flies here up, dodging an attack from Izo.
"That cat can fly too?!" Izo exclaims, "Okay, that was uncalled for."
"I got an idea, I'll try to detract him by throwing this pebble and we'll swoop in and grab his badge." Wendy explains and plans.
"Fine by me." Happy goes with it.
Wendy then throws the pebble at Izo, who blocks it with his hand and happy then quickly flies Wendy close to him, "Now!" Wendy thought and goes for the badge on his chest.
"Oh no you don't!" Izo jumps back before she touches his badge.
"I miss!" Wendy exclaims.
"My turn." Izo tries to throw a punch but happy flies them both away just in time to dodge him., "Sw shucks, I missed."
"He's quick." Happy comments, "I thought for sure that would work."
"I didn't wanna do this again, but looks like I have no choice." Wendy says.
"So your gonna use some magic, huh." Happy notices.
"Yes, go ahead and put me down, happy." Wendy replied and he does just that.
"Alright." Wendy hurls her head back.
"What are you doing?" Izo questioned.
"SKY DRAGON: ROAR!" Wendy blows a tornado towards him.
"No way!" Izo is stunned and tries to dodge, but is too late and gets it by the sky attack, sending him crashing into a tree and defeated.
"*pants* That did it." Wendy pants a little.
"That attack must've took a lot out of you." Happy flies down.
"Only a little." Wendy replied before walking over to Izo.
"Ugh... can't believe I lost to some little girl..." Izo lays down in defeat, all battered up.
"Sorry to go rough on ya." Wendy then kneels down, "I'll be taking the badge now." She takes it off his chest.
"Oh no..." Izo sighs and lays his head back.
"Well, better luck next year." Happy brags before the two walked off, leaving him behind.
"My six badge was my real targets badge." Wendy counts, "Now I'm good to go."
"Not to mention, you took out the ones that were targeting us." Happy adds.
"Yeah, now we just have to go back to the boat." Wendy nods, "I'm wondering how gon, killua, kurapika, and leorio are doing."
"Aye, and I wonder if Gon stole that hisoka guy's badge yet. I can see that taking a long time to happen." Happy says
"That may be true, But I know he can do." Wendy believes with a confident look.
"He's probably got a plan too." Happy adds, "Let's hope it turns out the way he wants it too."
Wendy nods as they continue in the forest.
Meanwhile:
(Killua runs into the Amori Brothers and easily dispatches them, even taking one of them as hostage, warning not to move as his claws are to the side of his neck.)
He looks over at one of the other brothers, "Hey. Are you 199?" He asked.
"Yeah..." Umori replied, stunned at the boy.
"Then hand it over." Killua demands and sticks out his hand.
Umori obeys and throws it to him.
"Thanks for that." Killua catches before looking to the side, noticing someone in the trees, "Now for the badges I don't need..." He then throws each of them in opposite directions, but mixed them up to throw the hunter in the trees off track.
"You still have three days so good luck finding them." Killua happily states with hands in pocket, "See ya." He then vanishes out of there to another area.
As he's walking, "Man was that boring." He sighs while tossing #199 badge up and down, "Wonder what gon and wendy are doing."
A few minutes ago, the bushes start rustling, Wendy and Happy come out of them and run into Killua.
"Wendy!" Killua is surprised to see her.
"Killua!" Wendy is also surprised.
"Who knew we'd run into you." Happy surprised as well.
"Happy too!" Killua looks at the cat.
"Aye." Happy raises a paw.
"Anyway, It's great running into to you." Wendy says happily.
"Y-you too." Killua blushes a little, "So... have you caught your target's bag yet? If not, I'll help."
"We already got them." Happy chimes in.
"Yeah, it took some time, but we acquired them in the end." Wendy nods.
"Oh, well that great." Killua says happily.
"Thanks. Have you got your's yet?" Wendy asks.
"Yep, and honestly, it was easy." Killua replies and puts the badge in his pocket.
"Of course, since it's you, it was expected." Happy shrugs.
"For a cat, I'm surprised you got your tag." Killua looks at him.
"Don't underestimate me! Plus wendy and I helped each other get them, even though she did most of the work while I was just backup." Happy explains.
"It's fine, two people is better than one." Wendy assures.
"Alright. Welp, now that we all got out tags..." Killua trailed.
"Yep, we can go back to the boat together." Wendy nods happily.
"G-good idea..." Killua blushes, "Her smile is so cute." They then started walking on their way.
"Aha! I know what's going on now." Happy playfully smirks.
"W-What?" Killua asks him.
"You've been blushing at her, and that means... you liiiikee her!" Happy teases and smirks.
"N-no! It's not- you shut it!" Killua blushes and exclaims at happy.
Wendy only giggles at his reaction, finding it funny.
"A-anyway, I wonder what Gon is up too." Killua changes the subject.
"Changing the subject, huh." Happy teases, much to killua's annoyance.
"We were also wondering about that earlier, I know he'll pass as well." Wendy replied.
"Yeah, let's hope he does." Killua replied as they continue through the forest onward.
1 Hour later(Back near the boat):
"*Phew*, We made it back." Wendy says as they reach the boat.
"It took some time, but here we are." Happy flies up.
"It was a easy." Killua shrugs and stand by.
Khara then walks of the ship with her clipboard, "Then we will now check everyone's tags!"
Hisoka(#44) with badges #384(3P), #80(1P), #281(1P), #118(1P).
Pokkle(#53) with badges #53(3P), #105(3P).
Killua(#99) with badges #99(3P), #199(3P).
Wendy(#412) with badges #412(3P), #152(3P).
Happy(#408) with badges #408(3P), #119(3P.)
Gittarackur(#301) with badges #301(3P), #371(3P.)
Bordoro(#191) with badges #191(3P), #34(3P).
Hanzo(#294) with badges #294(3P), #198(1P), #362(1P), #89(1P).
"I thought you had three of them." Wendy whispers to happy.
"Oh, I threw that other one away before we reached here." Happy whispered back, "I already had 2 badges with 3 points."
"Ah, okay." Wendy understands.
"So six applicants have passed?" Khara thought until everyone turns to see that Gon, kurapika, and leorio arrive just on time.
"Gon." Killua and Wendy were happy to see him and thumbs up.
"They made it." Happy says, smiling.
"Ah, three more arrived at the last second." Khara checks the clipboard.
"Hey guys." Gon gives them a thumbs up as well before glaring at Hisoka, who smirks back at him.
"And now for the last three applicants." Khara announces and starts checking.
Kurapika(#404) with badges #404(3P), #16(3P).
Leorio(#403) with badges #403(3P), #246(3P).
Gon(#405) with badges #405(3P), #44(3P).
"These 11 applicants have passed the fourth phase of the exam!" Khara announces.
Everyone then heads back onboard the airship and through the intercom, chairman netero wants to interview the rest of applicants in order and to come to the first reception room, on the second floor.
Starting with Hisoka:
"Well, have a seat." Netero tells Hisoka.
"Don't tell me this is the final phase of the exam." Hisoka states.
"It could be related to that..." Netero replied before grabbing a pin and paper, "I'll just be asking a few question to satisfy my curiosity."
Hisoka smirks wide before sitting down.
"First, why do you want to become a hunter?" Netero questions.
"I'm not interested in become one... but a hunter license could be very useful." Hisoka answers.
"Oh, any examples?" Netero questions.
"For example, hunters can kill whenever they want." Hisoka makes a sinister look.
"I see." Netero understands and isn't bothered, "Onto the next question: Which out of the remaining 11 applicants are you keeping an eye on?"
Hisoka thinks and responds, "#99(Killua)"
"Ah..." Netero strikes his beard.
"#405 is also on my radar. There's also something about #412 that has me curious, but I'll leave it at that. #99 is the one I'm keeping my most eye on and I'd love to take him on one day." Hisoka smirks and replies
"One last question: Which of the 11 applicants do you least want to fight?" Netero questions.
"That would be #405, #412, and #408. Though #99 is close to being one of them." Hisoka answers, "If it's by least, then that would be #405"
"Ah, I see..." Netero checks that.
"I should also mention that the one I want to fight the most... is you." Hisoka smirks sinisterly at the old man.
"Yep, Nice job." Netero checks him off and isn't bothered, "Your excused."
Next Pokkle:
"I'm watching out for #404." Pokkle answers, "He looks to be the most balanced applicant left. I definitely don't wanna fight #44. To be honest, I don't think I'm a match for him."
Next Killua:
"Who I'm watching out for has to be gon and wendy, since we're all the same age." Killua answers, "I don't wanna fight #408 or #53, doubt it'd be an interesting fight against those two, especially the cat."
Next Bordoro:
"I've got my eye on #44. He has real presence." Bordoro answers, "#405, #99, and #412 are still children, and #408 is just a cat. I couldn't bring myself to fight them."
Next Gittarackur:
"#99" He slowly answers, "#44"
Next Wendy:
"Watching out for? That'd be #405, and #99 since we're like a trio. Same goes for #408 as he's been with me the whole time." Wendy answers, "As for the least... it be #405, #99, and #408 again, but this time along with 403, and #404. To be honest... I don't wanna fight at all."
Next Happy:
"I'm watching out for #412 since we're basically taking this together." Happy answers, "And... I rather be a coward and not fight anybody! Especially since I'm a cat!" He exclaims dramatically.
Next Gon:
"Who I'm watching out for? #44, Hisoka." Gon answers, "A lot happened, so I'm watching him. And I can't choose out of #99, #412, #408, #403, and #404."
Next Hanzo:
"It has to be #44." Hanzo answers, "He's the most dangerous one here. That's also why I don't want to fight him."
Next Kurapika:
"I'm watching #405 for positive reasons and #44 for negative reasons." Kurapika answers, "If given an amped answer, I'll fight anyone. If not, then I prefer not to fight anyone."
And last, Leorio:
"#405. I own him and hope that he passes the exam." Leorio answers, "That's why I don't want to fight him."
Netero gets finished with all the interviews and writes a bracket, enjoying what he has planned.
