A/N: So... people!
I know, hadn't updated in a long while.
I was deciding on leaving the fic but also wished to complete this, searching for some sort of inspiration and then this person - jasontoddss comments, which made me continue.
Thank you for that.
I hope I do complete it.
IT'S CHANGED! (SNILY)
CHAPTER 48 New
It was for a while they had stayed like that, clinging to each other as their lifelines… naked. Yes, they still had their clothes pushed in a corner while they were lying on the floor, bare-skinned with their heads kept on one of their robes. Severus kept stroking her back, absentmindedly, trying to take in every inch of herself… to lock her in his very mind and heart. While Lily, snuggled deeper in his neck, breathing deeply in his scent.
Her eyes snapped open and she looked up at Severus, who had a small smile fixed on his lips, making her do the same. She then brought her hand up and patted his cheek, making him open his eyes and look down.
"Don't you have to get out of here, mister?" she raised an eyebrow.
"No…" he whined and held her closer, closing his eyes.
She pushed farther though, rolling her eyes. "Sev! People must be looking for us! We need to get out!"
"Is it necessary?" he mumbled, seeing no point in her words.
She huffed but said in an overly-saccharine voice. "Yes, Mr. Who-looks-adorable-when-blushes"
He blushed as if was proving her point and making her laugh. "Lils, please, can we stay here for a while longer?"
"Sev…!"
"Please!"
"Okay," she agreed and reached her hand behind his shoulders, feeling him before giving him a light kiss on the chest.
"Sev…?"
"Hmm?"
"You would never cheat me, will you?"
He frowned worryingly and looked at her. "No, absolutely not and you know that. What did even give that idea to you?"
Lily shrugged. "I was just asking… like if I get angry at you or if we have a fight, would you leave me forever?"
"Never, Lily, I-" he suddenly paused, eyes wide.
She looked up at him anxiously. "I what? Complete the sentence, Severus. Have you already done something that you mustn't be doing?"
He looked away, not holding the courage to look into those truth-seeking green eyes.
"You are scaring me, Sev! Say something!" she urged.
"I-I… I might have kissed someone else… when we were not talking" he said, shame and disgust for his own self covering his face.
Lily looked at him with her mouth agape. "You cheated on me?"
"No! Lily, no, please, let me complete! It was a… Slytherin thing that I did, just get to make a deal"
"That is awful, Severus…" she whispered, her voice showing a very implicit accusation. "You kissed someone, played with someone's feelings for work? Isn't that insensitive?"
Unconsciously, Severus' hold tightened on her, as if he was afraid of her being taken away from him. "That wasn't my intention, Lily… I admit I was wrong but it later became for a reason"
"Severus, you hurt someone like that and you expect me to think that it serving a purpose to you clarifies everything?!" her eyes shone with angry tears. "On top of that, I simply know that your loyalty to me wasn't a priority to you!"
"No, Lily! You are taking it the wrong way-!"
"Who was the girl?" she cut him. "Or the boy… or whomever you kissed?"
His face went red as he gulped.
Lily gasped. "Now, you are blushing too! Are you in love with the person or something!?"
He shook his head vigorously, with his eyes wide. "NO! That must be for the shame, Lily! Because I regret doing it…"
"Who is the person?" she emphasized each word, asking forcefully for the answer.
"She…"
"It is a she?! You like another girl!" Lily sat up straight at once, reaching for her wand. She waved it and both of them got dressed in a second, as tears kept slipping down her cheeks. "And I thought you loved me!"
Severus didn't wait any longer to sit up himself, adjusting his already put-on clothes properly. "Lily, listen to me…"
"Nothing's left to be heard, Severus…" she whispered in a heartbroken voice, standing up and walking towards the door.
Severus ran and held her wrist.
"Leave me, Severus," she demanded without turning back.
"First, listen to me," he said stubbornly.
"I said – Leave me!"
"I won't"
More tears slipped down Lily's eyes as she turned to face him. "Severus, why would you do that? How will I be ever able to trust you now? I can't claim you as I did earlier when you…" she trailed off, not able to complete the sentence.
"Lily…" he pulled her closer, pressing her head on his chest, despite of her resistance. "If you think that any of it held emotions then you are wrong. I am aware I shouldn't have done what I did but it is just Myrtle and-"
"Myrtle!?" Lily prompted, shocked, pulling herself off him and looking him in the eyes. "You kissed Myrtle" she burst out laughing.
He frowned but smiled a little at her improving mood. "You… why are you laughing?"
She kissed him, still laughing. "You kissed Myrtle, Sev! Of course! Now, I get it… You had to do the entire ghost thing, for the tournament!"
She was back at calling him - Sev, and that was a good sign. "I still don't see, why are you laughing, but perhaps, you see that no feelings were involved," he raised an eyebrow.
"Please, Sev…" she hugged him, resting her cheek on his chest, listening to the comforting raised heartbeat. He was so damn funny, even when he had done something wrong. "I probably never want to hear that again."
"I never want to encounter that again," he mumbled, scrunching his nose.
"Why? Wasn't that good? Better than I kiss you?"
"It's awful, Lily. One feels like we are kissing a big cube of icy needles. Precisely, it was bad and not even close to the feeling I get when you kiss me. That makes me feel like… like… I don't have a good enough word to explain the butterflies that flutter through all my veins" he closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around her, and keeping his cheek on top of her head. "That feeling when your soft lips, meet mine… when you hold on to my arm with your fingers that had given me bruises a few times but feel like I have the entire world with me… when you say my name, it feels like I need to hear nothing more… when your lips curve to form a smile, I feel like I needed nothing more from life… when I see, those beautiful eyes of yours sparkle, I feel like I can get lost in the depths… when your skin touches mine, the currents that run through my body are inexplainable… when I feel the weight of your head on my chest, I feel like I have something worth living for… I felt like I would die when you said that we needed a break… I thought it was you, who was fed up with me… Seeing you in tears because of me, makes my heart stop, Lily… I have nothing left of myself other than you, Lily, and I would love you for eternity… I would never cheat on you, I promise, and deeply apologize for what I did. I regretted it the moment I did it… even though, it is just Myrtle… I have fallen into love with you so deeply that coming out isn't even an option…" he simply sighed after the long speech he gave.
Lily kept extremely quiet throughout it and one might think she was dead.
"Lily?" he asked, almost worried that he said something wrong.
He didn't hear anything after that other than two arms tightening their hold on him and a sob.
"Lily!" Now, he was worried and frustrated with himself. "I am sorry if I said something wrong again. I am an idiot…"
"You are," she said through her sobs, in a cracked voice. "How can I not believe you? How to not forgive you?"
Severus sighed, not taking in her meaning. "I am sorry again, Lily-"
"Shut up, stupid!" she yelled with delight. "I love you!"
His mouth stayed agape for a while before he kissed her head. "Love you too"
"You practised for the entire speech or something?"
"No… why would I practice for it?"
"You sound so… heart-felt"
"Because I was" he stated chuckling. "Would you tell me the reason for those weeps, though?"
She laughed, looking up and kissing him. "Happiness"
"Oh?"
"Just like you do, when you are extremely happy or touched" she smiled.
Severus blushed. "Oh?"
She laughed. "If you haven't noticed, you are turning into a big softie."
He looked away, blushing even more. "Whatever you say."
"Though, your words were touching… didn't you say your wedding vows?" she frowned, amusingly.
He smiled and tilted his head. "Your turn then"
She followed the suite and pulled away from him, keeping a gap between them and bowing slightly, she cleared her throat. "Severus Snape, if I have to speak as you did, I would fail immensely, but perhaps, I could try…" she chuckled looking into his eyes. "I have no idea what good deeds I committed to getting a person like you as my partner, who loves me so solely that I can't explain through mere words… I was just a little kid when I met you, and I am grateful for the conscience of my past to not show my back to you, or I wouldn't be so in love as I am. I believed that falling in love with my own best friend would be weird but it is the best feeling, I swear… but then, perhaps, I was always in love with you, just realized it quite some months ago… Your passionate black eyes when you look at me, makes my heart beat faster… the heartbeat I listen, when I rest my ear on your chest, makes me feel the safest as they calm of all my anxieties… and when you blush…" she chucked, making him blush again. "… you are so pale that it seems the most evident on your face and I find it cute. The humour that others find dry of yours, makes me laugh, even in sleep… talking to you feels like I don't have to pretend for anything… and your lips… meeting mine, clarify all doubts in life… Your assurance would never fail me and I would try to give that to you, whenever you need them… I love you more than I realize… I want you in each moment of my life… I would never cheat on you, either, and try to keep you happy as much as possible… try to clear everything between us whenever we would end up in a fight… try not to be so dramatic… and love you enough to make you feel loved every single moment of your life…"
Severus stood with his mouth agape as a tear slipped down his cheek, followed by more.
Lily rolled her eyes. "See? Crying?"
"No" he declined, though he was openly doing the same.
"Sev…"
"I hereby pronounce myself, Severus Snape and Lily Evans, man, and wife… So, may I kiss the bride?"
She laughed and happily kissed him. They parted and Severus took her finger, placing an imaginary ring on her ring finger, making her chuckle. She took his finger then, placing the very same imaginary ring in it. He kissed her again.
"Hopeless romantic" she mumbled, rolling her eyes.
He scratched the back of his neck. "Perhaps, I always was"
They laughed.
*Page Break*
"WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY BOTH?!" she screamed in anger.
"We are searching, Selene! Calm down!" he laid a hand on his arm, which she jerked off.
"Calm down?! I said something to him and now, he is missing! What if that is because of me?! He is too stupid to believe that no one loves him now!"
Shane rolled his eyes. The pregnancy stress was the most difficult to take for him by far. "Selene, do you actually think he would think that?"
"I am absolutely sure!"
"I assure you, he'd be fine"
"I don't believe you!"
He huffed and opened his mouth to speak when the doors of the classroom before them opened, slowly. Both Shane and Selene looked at each other before their eyebrows raised at the couple walking out… indicating that they had finally made up after the fight.
Both the boys blushed, at the door. "Umm… hi, Selene, Shane?" the one with a causal handsome look spoke, nervously, while the other shifted uncomfortably.
"What were you both doing inside?" Selene asked.
"Umm…" Sirius flushed even redder. "What were you both doing before we can see that baby bump?"
Selene and Shane straightened, red colouring their cheeks. They both looked at each other and shifted, before narrowing their eyes on the couple again. "So… Why don't you both simply leave?"
Remus hesitated. "You won't tell anyone, that we were here, would you?"
Shane and Selene laughed and shook their heads. "No… you have our confidence"
"Thank you," they said and were about to leave when another bang was heard, followed by a loud noise of laughter.
Well… from the empty classroom beside the one from where Sirius and Remus came, another couple came out with dishevelled clothing. Their eyes went on the four people, raising their eyebrows at them, and they stopped in their tracks.
Charm and Elias.
Colour rose to their cheeks as instantly as they parted from each other and smoothed their uniforms. They smiled awkwardly at them, trying to escape the irritatingly embarrassing situation.
"What are you all doing here?" Charm asked.
Sirius laughed, almost forgetting that just a few seconds ago, he was in the same position. "Just… chilling?"
Shane chuckled but glared at Sirius. "We were searching for Severus… and Lily. If you both had seen them… when you weren't… having fun"
Further red splotches struck both Elias and Charm, though, also a sneer built up at Elias' lips. "'E iz mizzing? Good" he muttered the last word, making Selene's eyes blur with fury. But Shane took her wand off her hand before she could cause any harm.
Charm poked Elias in the ribs, making him wince and glare at her. He was still in doubt that she would leave him and go with that wretched Zeveruz. He damn hated him. What was even good in him? He was so sure that his violet eyes looked better than that Zeveruz' black ones. They were so lifeless, and not even in competition with his coloured ones, that showed life. Elias thought that Severus seemed nothing less than a blood-sucking vampire.
"Why do you alwayz take zat Zeveruz' side?" he complained, whispering to Charm's ear.
"I am not taking his side! He is simply my friend!" she said, frustrated. The reason for most of their fights was 'Severus', who didn't even like talking to Elias. But Elias had some kind of evil obsession with him.
"'E zeemz zo much more to me" Elias looked away from her.
"Elias!" she made him look into her eyes. "We have discussed this! I don't have any feelings for him, and nor does he"
The corner of his lips turned down, as he looked away again. "But 'e iz currently fighting with zat red-head… what if you get with 'im?"
"Elias, Elias, Elias… please! No, we wouldn't get together! Ever!" she tried to assure when another bang was heard making them all jump.
They all rolled their eyes, waiting for another couple to show themselves up, and then yes, another of them did come out. Both of them were moaning, with their lips locked with each other.
"Give it a rest!" Remus shouted, trying to make them aware that they weren't alone.
And the couple parted with a jolt, looking at them all confused and flushing red. Yes, Severus and Lily.
"So…" Shane stretched the word, finding the next sentence. "You both are together again?"
And almost immediately Severus and Lily forgot about the way they had shown themselves a couple of seconds ago as they smiled happily. "Yes," they pronounced, giving gentle kisses to each other to prove their point.
Selene grabbed hold of her wand, snatching it away from Shane's hold and shot out a spell at Severus' forearm, making him yell in a second of pain. He rubbed his hand and turned to Selene.
"What was that for?!"
"For going missing!" she glowered, making him gulp.
"I didn't go missing… was here in the castle"
"Oh, yes" she rested her hands on her hips. "After giving us all the scare?!"
"Honestly, Selene, it was just you getting scared" Shane muttered from the corner, defending Severus.
She narrowed her eyes at him. "Yes, because I was worried about him!"
Shane flinched and kept his mouth shut. Severus looked at Lily, who laced her arm with his.
"Selene…" she called. "Umm… sorry, probably?" she gave an innocent smile.
"Well, at least, someone knows how to say that!" Selene glared at Severus for a second before turning around to walk away.
Lily nudged Severus and he ran behind Selene, holding her arm. "Sorry, Selene… for the ghost thing and for going missing… in the castle."
"At least, now, I know, that you were taught the word!" she said.
He grinned. "So, you forgive me!"
"Yuck, Severus…" Selene turned to him, scrunching her nose. "You smell of…" she trailed off, raising her eyebrow, as realization struck her. "You both had sex…? You both had sex! Is that how you both made up?! Did you not talk? Hell, I would kill the shit out of you two-"
"No, Selene!" Lily yelled, and came running towards them, trying also to hide her and Severus' overly red faces. "We talked with a long weepy session and then… well…"
"That means you both talked" Selene held her chin high. "Good"
"I simply wished to say, that I was on Lily's side" Shane cried, smirking.
"Well, me too" Selene shrugged. "Severus is quite stupid… we all know that, perhaps"
"So… wait! No one thought that Lily could have been more eloquent" Severus fold his arms on his chest, huffing.
"Nah… you could have been more understanding" Charm came and rested a hand on his shoulder, smirking.
"I hate you all" he jerked her hand off, throwing his hands in the air in exasperation.
Lily chuckled and shrugged. "This just proves that I am smarter"
Severus stuck his tongue out. "Whatever"
"Though… I am happy that we don't have to see all sorts of stupidity now" Shane wiped the sweat off his brows.
Just then they heard a loud bang from the ceiling. Their heads turned upwards to the ceiling and they heard another bang.
"What iz it?" Elias exclaimed, almost frightened. "Your castle iz 'aunted, I zell you"
"Shush up, Amedee" Severus quietened him, trying to listen to what exactly was upstairs.
Shane rolled his eyes. "What floor are we on?"
Sirius blinked and looked around. "First"
"Then isn't this obvious?" Shane asked as if the answer was obvious.
"What?" they all asked, impatiently.
"The floor above us is second…" he voiced but still everyone looked at him in confusion. "It is Austin and Marlene, up there"
"Oh…" they frowned before realizing. Austin and Marlene could give it a rest now… they had been too… active.
"Perhaps… we must simply, leave them alone" Remus shrugged, smirking.
"Or blast the ceiling off" Lily mused, making everyone look at her wide-eyed. "What? I was just wondering; it could be fun to disturb them"
"Certainly" Selene nodded, soberly, before rolling her eyes.
"But I think it would be fun!" Sirius raised his wand towards the ceiling.
Remus pulled his hand down immediately, glaring at him. "Have you lost it, Sirius?! This castle isn't your property!"
Sirius frowned and kissed him, flustering him. "Did you really think, I was going to do that? Get your head out of your arse, Moony!"
Remus flushed red. "Stupid"
"Severus… please, you need a bath, because, I wouldn't like to smell that anymore" Selene scrunched her nose.
"It isn't that bad and anyways…" Severus spread his arms, "please, it isn't just me!" he looked around at the red faces of all others. "See? Not just me… but still I'll go bath…"
*Page Break*
He entered the Slytherin common room, only to meet the roars of cheers and yelling of his names echoing throughout the place. He almost flinched at soon as he entered, but his face smoothed off all those lines the moment he realized the noise was in appreciation of him rather than to slander him.
He offered a small smile to his housemates as for now, his mind lingered on the empty class he had just come from and the actions which took place with a particular person he hadn't talked to for more than a month. Even after his lack of enthusiasm for his praises, no one in the common room stopped yelling.
'Severus Snape is the new Slytherin Champion!'
'Rather the new Hogwarts Champion!' Someone corrected.
'He is first!'
'And he will stay!' Someone added immediately.
'He will win!' Someone amended further.
Severus blushed at that a little but shook his head, dismissing it. 'May I have your attention please?' He raised his eyebrow and was blatantly ignored by all. So, he cleared his throat this time and tried once more, yelling, 'MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION?'
The crowd quietened and turned to him blinking. He shifted awkwardly at the attention but then cleared his throat again. 'I have to go and bathe… perhaps… so, I may be allowed to leave…?' He asked, shifting his feet from side to side.
His housemates still stared at him confused, before nodding and frowning. 'Yes…?'
Severus grinned and practically flew to his dormitory… He sighed the moment he entered the place and flopped on his bed, closing his eyes and savouring the moments he had spent with Lily just a few minutes ago. He sighed again, which was audible throughout his dormitory.
He felt a slight bit ungrateful for not appreciating the appreciation and cheers from his housemates… but perhaps, getting with Lily once again was overpowering any other happiness that was striking him right now.
But his peace and quiet weren't long-lived… as the door of his dormitory banged open making him jump up in his bed in alarm. His heart beat high and the sense of flight or freeze and die, was high in him.
'Calm down, just me…' Selene waved her hand. It was just her.
Severus frowned in annoyance and turned away. 'What do you want?' he asked.
She stared at him blankly, almost until he, himself, didn't huff and look up. 'What?' he asked again.
She smiled and came closer, pulling her chin in the air. 'Guess what?'
Severus pulled his neck back and looked at her amused. 'What all does pregnancy do to you? Makes you a jester?'
Selene rolled her eyes. His idiotic ways of annoying her making no effect on her… at all. 'I found something.'
'What, Selene?'
'Well, when you were wasting your time, lying here… I was working on Mission… whatever the name was…'
'So, what did you find… already?'
Selene grinned and held his left forearm in excitement. 'I got the place!'
Severus blinked. 'Which place?'
'Severus! You are being an idiot! The hill! Where the Horcrux is hidden!'
'Oh…' he needed a while to process. 'Wait, how?'
'Ah... got on there. Good,' she smirked and sat on the bed, beside him. 'So… when everyone was here enjoying the day when a Slytherin is also being called the champion of Hogwarts'- that got a blush out of him, but he was still confused if Selene was insulting him in a way or not – 'one person was still working. Bennet Sawyer!'
Now, she had Severus' full attention and she continued. 'So… I was just leading upstairs to my dormitory… but as my dorm is very near to that of Sawyer, I kind of walked into his room…'
*Page Break*
'Umm… Sorry…' Selene said with forced awkwardness. They had now walked into the wrong dorm rooms so many times, that now, it didn't even matter if someone finds her in Bennet Sawyer's bed the next morning.
Bennet shook his head as his face lit up at the presence of Selene but her sourness made him force a smile from his bed. 'I don't mind… you can come in any time… unless you wish to kill me…'
'Of course, and so, you must have emotional alarms on the door from stopping angry people…' Selene said with a decreasing mood of making any conversation.
Bennet kept smiling, but again… it was as fake as anything in the world. 'You… needed something?' he asked, keeping his laptop on the bed from his laptop. The movement made Selene see the laptop and a glint passed through her eyes.
Even if the change in her facial expression was sudden, Bennet didn't show any sign of noticing it. She stepped entirely into the room and closed it behind herself before clearing her throat. Merlin forgives me.
She smiled and Bennet swallowed hard, still trying to put on the smile. He had no idea what all just Selene's presence in an empty room with him did to him. Even after knowing that she was fully Shane's. 'I needed your help…'
Bennet didn't realise he had been staring at her. He shook his head with a creeping blush on his face. 'I-I'd have the pleasure to help you with anything…'
Selene came closer and their hands brushed, making his body tense… as she sat on his bed. Bennet dared to look back, to find her looking at his laptop with the intriguing light in her eyes. He smirked. Yes. Only he could help with that. He gathered the courage that he could and sat beside her so that their thighs were touching.
She turned to him and smiled again, her eyes on his. 'You know, I have never seen a muggle-born this genius…'
Her moving lips made Bennet's eyes slip to them from her eyes. He had to blink a few times to gather his thoughts and shift his gaze to her glinting eyes again. 'How can help you?'
Selene licked her lips, just slightly and lingered her eyes on the laptop before turning to him again. 'Do you think… you can lend that to me…?'
Anything for having some alone time with Selene in a room. Bennet didn't take long in nodding with enthusiasm. 'Of course...' he waved a hand on his bed. 'You can make yourself comfortable… I mean-'
Selene kept a finger on his lips, making his pupils grow larger. 'Shush…' she whispered and slid back on his bed, resting her back on the headboard of the bed.
Bennet inhaled sharply and looked away from her for a while, picking his laptop up and closing the tabs he had kept open for himself. He gulped and slid back, himself, to sit beside Selene, who smiled at him.
'Maps…' she asked.
'Huh?'
'The maps thing…? The one you did last time.'
'Oh…' the red that graced his cheeks was going nowhere for a long while.
Bennet moved his fingers swiftly on the laptop keys and mouse when Selene decided on leaning on him a little. Her hair brushed on his shoulders and neck making his spine straighten with alarm… or excitement? Well, no one knows. 'Ah… sorry…' Selene withdrew from him.
'N-No… it's fine…' he stuttered and looked back at Selene. She smiled. He sat in a way that made space for the laptop to be kept on their thighs. Blushing furiously, he cleared his throat. '… Umm… what would you like to search for?'
Selene blinked. She hadn't thought about that yet. Was pregnancy making her a fool or lesser of a Slytherin? Or was she just losing her memory? She took a deep breath and dismissed the worries for now. 'Well… I can search for it myself…'
Bennet nodded hesitantly. 'You just have to press the keys to form words. The largest one is for the spacing between them… and press enter when you are down with writing what you wish to…'
'Okay,' she replied, pulling the laptop in her lap and sighing. This was going to be a difficult task. She hoped for Severus to just magically walk into the room and help her with this, but she knew he wouldn't. Even better if Lily comes, but again, not going to happen. All the nonsense with being a pureblood!
Bennet kept looking at her confused and uncertain of what to do… and staring at her wasn't a bad option. She kept typing something – though, very slowly, but then, what can be expected from a Pureblood – with a blank face and then, it was over. Her blank face turned into one of relief… and was it fear?
'Uh… Selene?'
Her head jerked up at him as a deer caught in headlights. 'I… yes?'
'What are you exactly searching for?'
'None of your business,' her voice turned icy cold, making Bennet squirm, as her eyes met his.
'I-I was just asking…'
She didn't look away nor gave any sign of hearing him. 'May I get a parchment and a quill?'
He got up and walked to his side table, blaming everything on her pregnancy. She wasn't always this weird, was she? After fumbling with the messed-up things, for what felt like an hour, he gave her a parchment and a quill… not even daring to look into her eyes.
'Thank you,' even her gratefulness was frozen.
Bennet cleared his throat and nodded. He turned to her carefully and watched her scribble something on the parchment he just gave… Oh, she was drawing something too. Well, she looked beautiful when concentrated.
She looked up accusingly, feeling the stare at her. 'May I ask the reason for your attention?'
This was the turn of Bennet to play the deer. He shook his head. 'J-Just looking… you may continue…'
'I can pay for this…'
'No, no, no need!' He laughed awkwardly. He wished to accept the offer… but he can't just ask like that from a fellow housemate, could he?
'I am serious.'
'No, Selene…' chance to play the gentleman, 'you don't have to… I am just helping my housemates. It makes me happy.'
'As you wish then,' she folded the parchment and settled it in her robes, returning the quill to him and then the laptop. He picked it up and shut it down carefully.
'Thank you, Bennet…' Selene offered a small smile… a very forced one. Was that the day for forced smiles?
'My pleasure,' he returned with another fake smile.
'I would-'
Bennet moved forward – closer to her – restraining himself from not touching her. 'No, no, Selene, you don't have to pay me for any of this. I am always ready to help… unless we are having another of those group jerk-offs…' he grimaced at the memory of the ruins of his private enjoyment by his dorm mates.
Selene lifted her eyebrow. 'I was saying – I would like to leave now.'
'Oh…' he blushed. 'Sorry…' he muttered. 'Though, can come here again… of you wish to…'
'Sure…' another smile. 'Now, may I?'
Bennet held a hand out, making way for her to leave and then sighing for making a fool of himself once more.
*Page Break*
Severus had his mouth agape as he stared at Selene's smug face.
'So… you, see? I got one more clue,' Selene said, crossing her arms on her chest.
He closed his eyes briefly and opened them again, shaking his head. 'That was one of the worst mood swings, I have ever heard in you…' he breathed, earning a smack from Selene.
'After the entire find the Mission clue, you see the idiotic mood swings!' she roared irritated.
'Sorry…' he mumbled, nursing his arm. 'We must go to the others then… tell them about what you found…'
Selene scrunched her nose. 'Will I have to repeat this again?'
'What?' he frowned.
'Bath, first! You smell like… well, whatever you and Lily's passion did…'
Red streaked on his pale cheeks. 'I'll go, now…'
'Now.'
'Yes, yes, I am going!'
A/N: Hope you enjoyed it.
I am writing after a long while, so, perhaps, the writing style and the character description changed a little. I tried to keep them as they were earlier, but if you see a problem, do comment...
Thank you for reading.
