Prologue
"Let's make an oath, right here and now. When any one of us needs help, we'll be there. By each other's side, always and forever. It's one for all and all for one."
A wise man once said that you can't go home again. Well that's great for the wise man, but he wasn't a girl who made a promise to a couple of friends, that she'll be there for each other when one of them needed help, a while back.
So here she was, Buffy Summers, driving towards her childhood town, Sunnydale, California. A place where she promised she would never go back. It held too many memories. Some bad, some good, but they were still memories and that lasted forever.
Buffy turned the radio on to get her thought away from the subject. She was going to meet all of them today, but she just wasn't ready.
But a promise you make, a promise you have to keep.
Buffy showed a hint of a smile at the 'Welcome to Sunnydale' sign. It was a long time since she'd seen that sign.
She took out a piece of paper that held her old friend's home address; 1630 Revello Drive.
Buffy's mind flooded with long, lost memories of her childhood friends. Especially the last summer they were together. It was the summer when she promised herself that she would find freedom and independence, but she found a lot more.
Her life had definitely taken a change in direction, then.
It was soon after when she found herself wondering how her friends, including herself, had drifted apart. But she couldn't keep her mind in place; the nervousness was coming back to her.
She skimmed the piece of paper again, reading the letter.
Dearest B,
I'm going to start calling you B, because Faith told me that it ticks you off. Oh well, can you believe it? I'm having a child. And I want you to be there with all the others. You better come, because it took me a lot of money to hire somebody to find where you live. I don't really know what to say. Meet me at 1630 Revello Drive, we'll all be there.
P.S: I read one of your books you wrote. It was really weird and I couldn't understand it. Why can't you just be normal and write steamy romance novels that I love to read?
Love,
A.., F., C.
A/N: My prologues are always this short. I already have the first chapter written down and this story should be updated very soon. The story will get better, trust me. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
