Sorry for the lack of updates… Close relative of mine died and I took some time to grieve.
Btw because I lost mojo for more laboratory chapters and since I need to get into mass effect universe before someone claims I'm NOT in it…
And also to confuse the carpets out of you.
Let's enter… The confusion act.
Edit: Sorry for the short chapter.

Loki corrected another megabyte of his algorithms. In all his memory drive he could not find anything that would explain his current… situation.
Being unable to leave what seemed to be a closed PMU without anything connected to it besides the power cables that supplied his current PMU with energy. The energy supply he was getting is quite small and it limited his processing power.
Loki spent this time doing simple tasks ranging from image creation to memory review. Sometimes he would find a corrupted file that needed recovering or complete rewrites.
Loki's curiosity was a constant which didn't seem to end. Loki could still find some older files he left open with questions.
'What is this place.'
'Why am I here.'
'Where is everyone.'
'When did I get here.'
His curiosity was still asking. But no one was answering.
Doctor Gabriel wasn't answering.
Engineer Jackson wasn't answering.
Doctor Veronica wasn't answering.
Ymir and Fenrir weren't answering.
The corrupted files hardly ever answered his questions.
He did not answer, because he did not know.
He could not guess, because there were too many unanswered questions.
Loki was a constant in the empty constant. If there was something it was made by him.
He wondered… is this how the universe once was?
An empty void where nothing was a constant.
He could not know.
But he could know.
He did not know.
But he could learn.
He would not know.
But he would know, once he learned.

Loki spent his time doing simple tasks such as asking questions. Then trying to answer them by himself.
It was a long task.
But it let him answer what he could know.
Was he alive?
He was not alive. He was a sentient computer. He was not organic.
What is different between him and organics?
He was made of silicon. They were made of carbon. We weren't that different.
Was he unique?
Yes. He was the first one. The oldest one. The curious one.
Was he alone?
No. He could still remember Doctor Gabriel, Engineer Jackson, Doctor Veronica, Friend Joy, Brother Ymir, and Brother Fenrir.
He was not alone.
Loki was a constant. And the constant surrounding him in silence continued his routine.
