CHAPTER THREE

.~~.~~.~~.~~.

It had been a week since the Miss Mystic Falls pageant and Hermione was exhausted. Shortly after her friends left Elena had started staying the night at the Salvatore house to help Damon with Stefan. Hermione had gone over a few times to help support her sister. She learned more about Damon and felt for him in a way she hadn't before. She could never imagine forcing her sister to become a monster but had to concede that Stefan wasn't in his right mind either. They had both been tricked by Katherine and whereas Damon had truly fallen in love with her, willing to do anything for her, Stefan was manipulated by her into believing he was in love with her. On the plus side Stefan was able to be convinced by Elena not to kill himself and was fully detoxed of human blood. On the downside She was somehow roped into helping Caroline create the Miss Mystic Fall Float with Elena. Her phone rang and the screen showed that it was Damon calling her. She groaned and threw her phone in her backpack, not answering. Her feeling for Damon was just another complication that she really didn't need. On top of trying to control her quickly advancing powers and magic, the foreboding feeling she gets every time someone talks about Katherine was driving her crazy. Her magic was trying to warn her about something and she had no clue what to do. Her brother wasn't talking to Elena, only her, and even that was knew he was hiding something and had no clue how to talk to him. Bonnie had also pulled away from Both Hermione and Elena, needing time to figure out what she wanted. Hermione understood that but Elena was struggling, unable to empathize with her friend. Hermione threw on her jacket and debated about leaving early and apologizing to Caroline later for not helping. She finally got the car she wanted, a black Chevy Impala 1967, so could come and go as she pleased. She got up and was about to walk out of the cafeteria when her name was called. She sighed and turned towards Alaric, Elena and Stefan were standing behind him confused.

"This is not going to be anything good will it?" She asked before following behind him and the other two towards his classroom. She sat cross legged on top of her desk and tossed her bag onto the floor.

"Damon, thanks for coming." Alaric said when he walked into the classroom.

"Sorry I'm late. My dog ate my uh...never mind." Hermione couldn't help but snort at Damon's lame excuse for a joke.

"Ok so now that the war council is here, want to fill us in on what's going Alaric?" Hermione asked impatiently, she wanted to go home and sleep not worry about what her Uncle was trying to accomplish..

"I saw Isobel last night." Alaric supplied, causing the group to look up in surprise. Hermione felt that Foreboding feeling in the pit of her stomach and knew nothing good was going to come of this news.

"Isobel is here?" Damon asked. Alaric nodded. "In town?" He turned first towards Elena and then Hermione before once more facing Alaric. "How do you know?"

"She found me at the Grill."

"She found you?" Hermione asked to which Alaric said yes.

"Did you ask her about Uncle John? Are they working together?" Damon asked.

"No."

"No they're not?" Damon re-asked, leaning against Alaric's desk.

"No, I didn't ask." Alaric replied.

"What about the invention?" Hermione asked.

"I didn't ask." Hermione was starting to get annoyed at his tone and was going to comment on it before Damon cut her off.

"Did she know about the tomb vampires?" Damon asked, irritation lacing his voice.

"I don't know."

"You don't bloody well know! What did you do? Stare at her the whole bloody time?!" Hermione yelled. Jumping off the table and surprising her sister. Who was sitting at the desk next to her.

"I'm sorry, I was a little too distracted by my dead vampire wife to ask any questions." He snarked.

"Too distracted? My god, what are you, a lovesick teenager? We have Vampires hidden throughout the town and you didn't think to ask the one person who might know something, any questions?" Hermione huffed and turned towards the windows facing the front of the school.

"What did she want?" Damon asked as he watched Hermione.

"She wants me to arrange a meeting between her and the girls. I don't know why or what she wants from this meeting." Hermione turned towards Alaric in surprise before Damon spoke.

"You don't have to see her if you don't want to." He was saying it to both of them but was facing Hermione when he spoke. She was the one that broke the stare when Elena responded. She turned towards her sister and noticed before he caught himself that Stefan was looking between her and Damon in curiosity.

"I want to do it. I want to meet her. If I don't, I know I'll regret it." Elena said. Hermione closed her eyes and took a deep breath before speaking.

"I don't. " She said, shocking her sister. "But I have a feeling we don't have a choice."

"She's threatened to go on a killing spree." Alaric added.

"Oh! I take it that's not okay with you guys." Damon commented, causing Hermione to glare at him. They soon agreed to meet her in a few hours at the Grill. Though Damon and Alaric were ordered to stay outside, Stefan would be able to listen in and watch Hermione and Elena as he had never met Isobel before. Hermione chose to change into a black T-shirt and Jeans while Elena stayed in the same clothes as earlier. Hermione wanted Isobel to see her scars, especially the one on her arm, if she knew about the magical world that word, Mudblood, would draw a noticeable reaction. She and Elena were sitting at a table booth close to the bar, they sat together to sit across from Isobel when she joined them, Stefan was standing at the pool tablewhere Elena could see him.

"Can you hear me?" Elena asked Stefan from afar. "Thanks for coming, I'm nervous." Hermione smiled and grabbed her hand, although she knew she was talking to Stefan, Hermione didn't want anyone to suspect her. "I'm happy that you're here. I love you." Her sister whispered for Stefan before facing Hermione. "Are you ok Minni? I know you didn't want to do this." Hermione shrugged

"She's your mother too, I can't make the choice for the both of us, plus there really wasn't much of a choice anyway. I just have a bad feeling. My magic has been sending me warnings all week, I just don't know about what." Elena nodded and was about to speak when a pretty woman with black straight hair came and sat across from them. She had several features that both Elena and Hermione shared. This was Isobel.

"Hello Hermione, Elena. You look just like her, that's eerie." She commented.

"You've met Katherine?" Elena asked.

"She found me after I turned. Genetic curiosity, I suppose. She would be fascinated by you." Hermione didn't like that one bit. She thought having one vampire fascinated by her sister was enough. Hermione looked down and nudged Elena, nodding towards the necklace.

"Is that how you can walk in the day?" her sister asked their mother.

"Katherine helped me obtain it."

"Who's our father?" Hermione couldn't help but blurt out.

"Not important. He was a teenage waste of space." Hermione scoffed at that.

"A name would be nice, You sound a little bitter there. Bad break up?" Hermione asked, irritated by this whole meeting.

"You ask a lot of questions." Hermione rolled her eyes and crossed her arms defiantly.

"Why did you compel that man to kill himself? Right after he told me to stop looking for you." Elena asked. This surprised Hermione as Elena never told her about that.

"Dramatic impact. I wish it would have been more effective."

"Human life means that little to you?" Elena asked, shocked.

"Means nothing to me. It's just part of being what I am." Hermione could tell this was bothering her sister and grabbed her hand under the table and squeezed.

"No it's not. I know other vampires, that's not true." This made Hermione shake her head at her sister's naïve attitude.

"Your new boyfriend over there by the pool table? Stefan Salvatore. Why Stefan? Why didn't you go for Damon? Or are you enjoying them both like Katherine did?" This shocked Elena, but pissed Hermione off. She saw how uncomfortable Stefan was by that and felt defensive of her friends and sister. The idea of Damon with her sister also caused a flash of jealousy she did not expect.

"Why did you want to meet us? Can't be to just catch up. So tell me what it is that you want from us." Hermione demanded. She wanted to just use magic on her but it was decided earlier that if Isobel didn't know, not to give away a large advantage they had. And seeing how the only reaction Isobel gave over her scars was curiosity, this was something they could use later on to protect themselves.

"I'm curious about you. Honestly though, I want what your uncle wants. Johnathan Gilbert's invention."

"How do you know our uncle?" Elena questioned.

"I used to spend a lot of time here when I was younger. John had a crush on me for years. He was the first one that told me about vampires." She was lying, or not telling them everything. Hermione could tell there was more to Isobel knowing Uncle Joh than was said.

"So what made you want to be one?"

"It's a very long list of reasons, Elena. All of which I'm sure you've thought about."

"No I haven't." Elena's response caused Isobel to laugh, Hermione hated that she liked her laugh.

"That was your first lie. It's inevitable, you're going to get old, Stefan won't." Hermione watched as Elena and Stefan shared a sad look. "Forever doesn't last very long when you're human."

"Is that what you wanted? Forever? Seems like a shitty reason to cheat on and then abandon your husband. Look, we don't have what you're looking for so leave us alone." Hermione pushed Elena who took the hint and stood up, heading towards Stefan. When Hermione got out of the booth their mother grabbed her arm and forced her back down, this had Elena stop, frozen in fear for her sister.

"Sit down." She watched as Stefan started to walk past Elena to get to Hermione and Isobel. "And tell your sister's boyfriend to walk away. I want the invention." She nodded at Stefan and flashed her eyes to Elena, telling him to protect her. She saw he was whispering every word spoken to Elena so she knew what was going on.

"I know that but Damon does and you're going to get it for me." Hermione laughed at her demand.

"He's not going to give it to me, if you don't already know that then you're daft."

"Then the blood will be on your hands." Her mother said as she stood. Isobel glared at her briefly before leaving the table. Hermione glared at her retreating back and got up to walk towards her sister.

"It was nice meeting you Elena." Isobel said as she passed her twin with barely a look. She clenched her fists when she heard her sister start to cry. She was about to storm out of the bar when Stefan grabbed her arm to stop her and shook his head. She sighed and leaned against the booth when she noticed Bonnie walking by them. She looked like she was going to talk to Elena when she saw Stefan and stopped. She looked at Elena once more and walked away. Hermione huffed in annoyance and stomped out of the Bar past Alaric and Damon and apparated home. She was so angry, she needed to focus on something else because if she didn't then she would snap. She walked towards the small shed in the backyard that she converted into a magical work space. Towards the back of the shed there was a hidden door that led downwards into a little bunker she created with expansion charms. It had four rooms, one was a potions room that had three different sized cauldrons lined on the left side and ingredients on the right side. The second was a small library that consisted of books and scrolls with information about anything that could help her with the power she absorbed and the effect it would have on her. The third room was the last that had anything in use, the fourth empty and awaiting assignment. The third room was the largest, the size of a quidditch field, and was for testing out her many powers. It had dummy targets and was the room she needed at the moment. She spent the next few hours summoning dummy targets and using her elemental powers against them. So far she found, after confirming with Albus's portrait, that she gained a type of control over Lightning, Water and Wind. She already had a natural born Connection to fire, the bluebell flame coming to her easily as a first year indicated as much, but she still needed to practice these abilities to gain full control. She gained the ability of lightning from Grindelwald and Riddle, The last two dark lords to carry the wand. Riddle may not have had full control of the wand, but its main property to absorb the strongest abilities was still active when he 'claimed' it. The elemental abilities of Water and Wind she gained from Albus, those she had a better understanding of purely because she was able to speak to him. She had a copy of his portrait in the training room and library as well as a copy of Serverus's in the potions room and library. The original copies still remained in her room but were covered with a silenced curtain for privacy. She could hear them but they could not hear or see her when she didn't want them too. She threw her arm back and summoned a bolt of lightning in it before shooting it forward to stab the target, leaving a large scorched hole in the center. She did that several times, alternating between lightning bolts, fireballs and water blasts before feeling magically drained and stopping.

"You need to balance how much power you use. Your Lightning is your more powerful ability due to two of the past holders having it, but it is also the most taxing ability, pushing out more magic than you intend to use." Albus sat in a large plush chair as he instructed her on how to improve her training. "You should take time to meditate and locate your magical core, once you are able to locate you will have an easier time controlling how much you pull from it."

"Thank you, I will tonight before bed." She said,

"Do you wish to share what has made you so upset?" He asked. She sighed and leaned back against the wall by his portrait.

"My birth mother is demanding that my sister and I hand over an invention made by Johnathan Gilbert, our ancestor. We don't know what she wants it for or how it's connected to Katherine, she's not the only one that wants it either, my Uncle is requesting it as well."

"And so many people asking for such an item has drawn your suspicion."

"Yes. This makes me think that whatever reason they are asking for isn't good, otherwise why not tell us what it does instead of reverting to threats. I know it has something to do with vampires but that's it. And I wouldn't care if it wasn't for the fact that my very human unprotected siblings keep finding themselves in the company of many, many vampires."

"I have met a fair few of them but America does seem to have the highest number of dark creatures and beings, more so than the rest of the world."

"I just have this horrible foreboding feeling, my whole being is warning me of danger." He nodded and stroked his beard in contemplation.

"It could be the animalistic portion of the elder magic you absorbed. Thestral's are beings associated with death, showing themselves to those who have seen it. It could be possible that in the face of danger that could result in one's death that your magic may send out a warning to ensure you protect yourself."

"That does make sense sir." She was stopped from further discussing the theory by her phone ringing in her pocket. "Hello?"

"Hermione, you need to meet me at the Salvatore house!" Hermione pulled the phone away from her ear at the volume of her sister's yell.

"Ok sure, Elena what's going on?" She asked.

"No time, I'll tell you at the house." her sister hanging up stopped her from asking any more questions. She bid farewell to Albus and grabbed a water bottle before heading out of the shed. She thought about changing out of the sports bra and yoga pants she had changed into when she entered her workout room, but didn't think she had any time, Elena sounded terrified on the phone. She took a breath and Disapparated out of her yard and chose to Apparate directly into the Salvatore's parlor. This caused quite the reaction as only Bonnie and Damon had seen her do so before. Elena screamed in fright which caused Stefan to pull her behind him. In the process Elena tripped on the rug causing her to push the couch back which in turn led the glass top table behind in to fall over and shatter all over the floor. Hermione stood in stunned silence at the chaos that she caused, Elena glared at her slightly as her face heated up from embarrassment of having knocked everything over.

"Sorry." Hermione said before twisting her wrist and returning the room to its original glory, not a shard of glass to be found. " So, does someone want to catch me up on what's going on?" She turned towards her sister, seeing her stricken face immediately put her on alert. "Elly what's going on?"

"Isobel confronted me at school when everyone was prepping for the Founder's day Parade." Elena said.

"And what happened?" Hermione asked.

"She had several people spread out through the parade and started threatening our friends when I told her I wasn't giving her the invention. She had someone jump on a float, to break the brace holding it up, to crush Matt's arm, thankfully Stefan, Tyler and Caroline were able to pull it off him. She had someone else almost hit Tyler in the head with a large lead pipe. Had he not bent down to tie his shoes he could be missing an eye or worse right now. She wanted to show us that she could get to anyone we knew and hurt them." Hermione stared at her sister in shock.

"Why would she do that?" she asked, causing Damon to scoff.

"Because she can, she's selfish and greedy, she practically begged me to turn her. If she didn't give a shit about abandoning her husband, whom she supposedly loved, then why would she give a shit about some kids she popped out and tossed aside." She glared at him, knowing that statement would hurt Elena. She received a nonchalant shrug in return. "Anyway it doesn't matter, she is not getting anything from me."

"Just hear me out." Elena begged.

"I'm not gonna give the device to Isobel so she could give it to John who is going to use it to kill me. I like being a living dead person." Hermione watched the back and forth between the two of them in suspicion, it seemed this argument was going on for a while before she joined them.

"Look what does it matter? Why are you so intent on giving her the device Elena" What else is going on?" Hermione asked.

"Minnie, She took Jeremy. She's threatening to kill him if we don't give her the invention…" Hermione froze, not moving a single muscle as she processed what her sister told her.

"You want to run that by me one more time, I don't think I heard you right." Elena leaned into Stefan, nervous of her sister's tone. "Did you just say that, that walking corpse, kidnapped our baby brother and threatened his life." She hissed through her teeth in anger when Elena nodded. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Before opening them and facing Damon.

"No, don't even ask. I'll get Jeremy in my own way." She just stared at him.

"Really? How are you going to do that? Because Isobel is a vampire and Jeremy could be dead the second you walk in the door." Stefan asked, crossing his arms as he spoke.

"I can remove the original spell, make it useless." Bonnie said, drawing everyone's attention.

"Are you even up for this? I mean no offense, you're no Emily Bennett. Emily knew what she was doing. Why can't Hermione do it? She's been taught how to use her magic since what, 11 years old?" Damon started to pace back and forth. Hermione shook her head when he turned and faced her.

"Bonnie's magic is different from mine, I may be powerful but certain magic can only be undone by those in the same bloodline that cast it in the first place. Also Bonnie's family are known to have originated from Salem, one of the few families to escape the trials, she is of a long line of magic users. And their families' magic will have grown in power as time went on." Bonnie shared a wide eyed look with her before nodding in resolution.

"I've been practicing, I can do this." Bonnie urged.

"It's not piano lessons, honey." Damon retorted.

"Look, pick a book." Bonnie ordered, to the confusion of the other's. "Please."

"Name a book...How about 'Call of the wild', Jack London?" Hermione watched as Bonnie easily summoned the book from its place on the book shelf. Damon caught it and read the title, nodded when he saw that it was the correct title.

"Jack London. Great parlor trick." Criticized Damon.

"Not really." Hermione whispered to herself.

"We're doing this, Damon. And we're doing it my way. Now give me the device. We're wasting time!" Yelled Elena, her left hand on her hip.

"I don't trust you, I tried to kill you." stated Damon towards Bonnie. Hermione laughed briefly.

"Damon You've tried to kill everyone, at least once." She added.

"You're right, you can't trust me." Bonnie responded honestly.

"But you can trust me." Stated Elena. Damon shook his head in disagreement. Hermione saw disappointment flash across her sister's face briefly before being replaced by frustration. Hermione stepped forward and put her hand on Damon's shoulder.

"Trust that if you help save my brother, I will help to protect you." She watched as he worked through what she said before nodding, he took out the device and placed it in her hand, not once looking away from her. "Thank you." She said, she turned and handed the Device to Bonnie. Who placed it on the table before taking out her ancestors spell book from her bag. Damon nudged Hermione's shoulder and tilted his head towards the stairs. Taking the hint she left her sister's side to follow him upstairs. He led her to a large room with a four post bed, several large windows and a fireplace. She stepped into the room without prompt and ran her finger along the wall. The style was old Victorian but it felt warm and much more inviting than she thought a vampire's room would.

"No coffin? I admit to picturing you sleeping in a velvet cushion coffin." She joked as she walked towards the large window outlooking the Salvatore's large driveway. He laughed and stood next to her, as she was looking outside, she didn't notice the heated look he was giving her.

"I need my space, plus it hard enjoying the fairer sex in a coffin, no where to be tied down." His voice was husky and drew a shiver down her spine. She turned slightly away from him to hide her blush, knowing it was pointless and he could sense her arousal. "So, what did you need to discuss?"

"You said something the other day, something that I have been trying to make sense of." He said as he watched her closely, noticing her freeze for a moment. "You said that you might be the same way as me in a hundred year's. They way you said it implied that you would live as long as me. Seeing as you're clearly not a vampire, means that isn't possible. So either you were speaking metaphorically which you don't seem the type to do so, or you're hiding something" She should not have faced him, she may have been able to think of something else to tell him had she not looked into his piercing eyes.

"I-I do not truly know what I am anymore." She whispered honestly. "I was once human, now I am more, though I do not fully understand all that that entails." She pulled her eyes from him and sat on the edge of his bed. "I am not a vampire, I would not be able to have magic if I was. But like you I am not mortal. After the war I told you about, I received a…godly gift. I absorbed magic that was gifted from the Celtic god Arawn. I do not know what all I have absorbed, but what I do know is that at some point I will no longer age, more than likely when I reach my majority. I also heal quicker than others would, just two weeks ago I was severely malnourished and barely had any weight on me, now I am almost to my original weight, and all but the scars caused by dark magic have healed. My magic has changed and I am learning how to control everything and what it means now that I have these…powers that I never asked for. The gods do not give you something without demanding something in return." She folded her hand in her lap, nervous as he was the first person she told since Harry and Ginny.

"I find it hard to believe that god, or gods, exist." He responded. She felt the bed dip as he sat next to her.

"I am sure at one point you did not believe in the existence of vampires, yet here you are. There are many unexplained things in the world, just because you have not seen something with your eye's or heard it with your ears, does not make it any less real." she couldn't help but think of Luna as she spoke. She felt a small amount of guilt for doubting her about her 'imaginary' creatures. She really had no right to judge her as others did.

"You said you received these powers after your war. How long ago?" He asked.

"Less than six months ago." She jumped when she felt his fingers touch the side of her face as he pushed a loose lock of hair behind her ear. She turned towards him and peered into his eyes.

"You've been through so much in such a short time, it's crazy how much a person can handle before they break." he cleared his throat before clearing his throat and breaking eye contact, sitting up as he spoke. "So I know Elena's all for handing over the device to your mother, they're doing their mambo jumbo down stairs, but why do I get the feeling you're not so trusting of mommy dearest." She stood, shaking her thoughts away from the previous conversation.

"If she hurt my brother in any way, I don't care about keeping my magic a secret, I'll make her wish she died for real. And that goes for anyone who would threaten either of my siblings. Elena is too trusting and if I've learned anything, it is that trusting blindly does nothing but give someone the chance to hurt you." He nodded and led her downstairs, she saw Stefan watching her and sighed.

"Look, don't say anything to Elena about what you heard, I'll be telling her tonight after everything." She whispered low enough that only the vampires would hear her. Both Damon and Stefan nodded, thirty minutes later they were all out of the house heading towards the town square to meet Isobel.

"He'll be ok right Hermione?" Elena asked, she was shaking slightly which led to Hermione reaching over and wrapping her in a quick hug. When they pulled away Hermione turned around, sensing their mother behind her.

"Where is the device?" She probed. Hermione glared at her and stepped forward, blocking her from her sister.

"Where is my brother?" She Demanded.

"This isn't a negotiation. Where is the invention?"

"Where is my brother?" Elena asked as she stepped closer.

"Do you really think that I came alone?" Isobel said as she waved her arm to the side. A tall man and woman came up behind the girls.

"Did you really think that we came alone?" Elena retorted, Stefana and Damon revealed themselves behind Isobel. Hermione crossed her arms in agitation and impatiently tapped her foot.

"For god sakes, call home." Hermione was already pulling out her phone while Elena was confused.

"What?"

"Call home and ask to speak to your brother Jeremy, clearly your sister was the twin born with a brain." Elena glared at Isobel while Hermione dialed home.

"Hello?" Hermione's shoulders sagged in relief when she heard his voice.

"Jeremy, are you okay?" Hermione asked.

"Yeah yeah I'm fine, Uncle John hit his head. It was an accident." He said

"We're all laughing." Jenna yelled in the background.

"But yeah I'm okay."

"Elena and I will be home soon, alright, Love you?"

"Yeah." He said before hanging up the phone. Reigning her temper in Hermione slowly put her phone away while Elena spoke to their mother."

"You were never gonna hurt him." Elena stated. Hermione rolled her eyes at her Naivety.

"No, I was going to kill him. Don't look for any redeeming qualities in me. I don't have any." Isobel said. Hermione barely made a step before Damon came to her side and gripped her shoulder. They didn't want to risk her showing her magic if her Uncle John didn't tell her already.

"But you took a risk with Damon. How did you know that he was gonna give it to me?" Elena asked.

"Because he's in love with the two of you." Hermione's eyes flashed towards Stefan's in confusion, But how could Damon be in love with his brother's girlfriend and her sister. Damon shared a look with Stefan, Hermione could tell he was uncomfortable with that statement, whereas Stefan was upset. It didn't make sense and was mentally added to the conversation she intended to have with her sister later tonight. She watched as Elena gave the device to Isobel.

"Thank you." Elena whispered.

"For what?" Isobel asked, confused.

"For being such a monumental disappointment. It keeps the memory of my real mother perfectly intact."

"Goodbye, Hermione, Elena. As long as you each have a Salvatore on your arms, you're doomed. Katherine was smart. She got out. But we all know that you're not Katherine." Isobel said

"Are you seriously saying that Katherine was the one wronged? That the several hundred year old vampire was doomed because she met a set of mortal brother's. Brother's that she could have easily snapped in half and walked away. Don't paint that bitch as a victim. She's the victimizer that played two young men barely of age and pitted them against each other." Hermione spat before turning and walking away from didn't see Isobel watching her before leaving herself. She didn't see Stefan embrace her sister and share a look with his brother who left next. Hermione was laying on Elena's bed when she heard her come home. She was going to get her when she heard Elena and Jermey start to talk.

"Jeremy, we have to talk about all this." Elena said.

"No, we really don't."

"I don't know what Anna told you but there are things that you need to know."

"Yeah? Because I'm pretty sure that your journal covered it." Hermione shook her head in frustration, why would Elena write about vampires in a journal of all things.

"You read my journal?"

"And save me the speech about invasion of privacy because I read a section about Damon erasing my memory, about what happened to Vicki."

"Jeremy, please, you don't understand. The night that Vicki died, it was like mom and dad died all over again. It was all over your face and it hurt so much to see you like that. I just wanted to take away your pain. I'm so sorry."

"Get out!"

"No, Jeremy!"

"Elena! Just get out. At least Hermione was willing to tell me the truth, had she been here she never would have let you do that to me!"

"Jer, I..." Hermione sighed when she heard his door slam. She Disapparated from Elena's room. She'd talk to her tomorrow, right now Elena needed to be alone.
