They exited the elevator and Craig took a quick head count. Once that was done they headed over to the museum of the tower's history.
Elliot has been here before. It basically just shows Tony's backstory, a bit of Pepper's, and a time-lapse of the tower being built.
That being said she kind of just followed Penelope around to kind of guide her to information she wanted.
Elliots cheeks go red every time Penny grasped her arm to pull her to an exhibit she was interested in.
Penny was a very "touchy" person. Elliot started noticing it about the 2nd month mark of their friendship. One time Penny grabbed her arm at lunch and it finally dawned on her of what she's been doing . Penny pulled away and started apologizing.
She explained that her love language for family and friends is physical touch. This didnt match up with her parents or siblings love languages so she's kind of touch starved. She doesn't do it to people who are new to her but when you become friends and close, it shines through.
Elliot said that there was no need to apologize since it was her love language and all, plus it didn't bother her. She was even happy that Penny was comfortable around her.
After that verbal confirmation Penny started doing it more often awarely. Once and a while on her bad days asked Elliot for a hug. Like she said, she didn't mind it but it never failed to make her blush.
They made a circle around the museum and found their way back to Peter, Ned and Mj.
When they saw that Penny had her hand around elliots forearm Peter made an eye comment about it, Ned's eyebrows shot up, and Mj smiled.
Penny didn't notice since she was still looking around, but the attention from her friends just made Elliot's cheeks burn brighter.
They knew about Elliot's crush on Penny and teased her lightly about it. Elliot was glad she had friends who supported her about her sexuality. It felt nice not having to hide a big part of who you are from important people in your life.
They continued walking til Peter and Elliot froze. They heard some pattering from the ceiling, specifically the vents. They audibly groaned and Penny asked what was wrong.
"You see, since we are the interns of Tony and Bruce we spend a lot of time on the upper floors. We'll, we've kinda have gotten close… to the Avengers." Elliot paused to let Penny take that real quick. "It used to be a, we see them pass by kind of thing at first but then we started to hang out. We've gotten close, like family almost. And what do you do with your family?" Elliot put down for Peter to pick up "you prank them, and that's what we've done. Me and Elliot have pranked each avenger at least once plus the times we've teamed up."
"Yup and karma has come back to us. You should have seen everyone's faces when they found out we had a field trip here. They were beaming with joy." Elliot rolled her eyes and they could hear a faint chuckle coming from above.
"Clint is in the vents right now. He's probably been spying on Craig to know what the plans are going to be. And now he's come to spy on us." She said extra loud. At that the shuffling from above increased then sounded like it was moving away.
Peter nudged her. "Ya know, Nat's probably around here too." He looked miserable at the thought. Who knew a plain hoodie and a hat were an A-tier disguise. Nat did and she was going to take advantage of it.
"It would be wise for us to move closer to the group. They can't isolate us and try something if we're in a bigger group" Elliot said, already starting to walk.
They just waited for a couple more students to meet up by the elevator. It was peaceful til flash came by.
"Listen I know you guys are faking everything" he said in a hushed voice. "Parker is nothing but a nerd, he probably hacked into Mr Stark's AI thing and made your clearance levels higher. All you guys had to do from there was color your badges red. That's right, I can see the cheap marker from a mile away." Flash said slowly increasing with rage.
"That's a big accusation you have there flash. What Sci fi movie plot is that from?" Elliot asked, looking straight into Flash's eyes. Flash was about to yell something back be her was interpreted.
"Alright kids, has everyone gotten their fill here?" Craig asked, breaking up the silent argument.
When everyone nodded he continued. "We will go up the stairs to another museum. This museum will have exhibits featuring each Avenger's uniforms, information, modules of their weapons, and more."
Everyone got really excited and Flash raised his hand. "I know Spiderman isn't an official avenger but does he have an exhibit?" Flash asked and his fanboy energy started coming out.
"Yes I believe both spiderman and static have exhibits here. They are included since they've helped the avengers on missions in the past. Their exhibits are farther in the back since they are more honorable mentions." Craig answered.
"Alright we aren't missing anyone let me lead the way, Ms Bernard you go in the middle, Mr Herrington you handle the back. We don't want anyone wandering off." He said while already leading the way.
The last time Elliot went to the Avengers museum was before Tony added Peter and her. She might actually be excited for this part.
