I was walking down the hall to the room 1-A was waiting for the Festival to start in when I saw a person walk towards me and I glared.

"Young Sogeki, can we please have a quick chat? No hostilities, just a small talk?" (sm)All Might asked.

"Make it quick," I said.

"I am being completely honest when I say heroics are too dangerous for you, you saw what happened to me, if that was you then you wouldn't have survived. I barely did. I know you want to help people and building support gear that works with a hero's quirk would be amazing."

"All Might, I get what you are saying," I started.

"Then you'll drop out of the Hero Course, great, I'll inform Nezu right now!" he said, turning around.

"But I won't be giving up."

"What?" he asked, looking at me.

"After meeting you I almost died, and if it wasn't for my determination to live and to keep heroes safe I would be dead by now. I know it's going to be more difficult for Melissa and I but we aren't giving up just because you want us to. You need to realize that we are our own people and you can't control us. I know not being in control is difficult for you but we are going to be heroes and we'll show the world today just what exactly we can do," I said, glaring at him as he looked sternly at me. "Oh, and if you even think about talking to Melissa again I can and will make it so you can't transform. Don't think for a second that I will stop my path," I added, walking past him. I walked into the room everyone was waiting in and noticed that some people glared at me. "Alright, we have a few minutes before we are called out," I announced.

I walked back towards Melissa and Tokage who had the bags with Melissa and I's gear for the Festival. We were told we could put them on between the opening ceremony and first event but to keep them in the bag if we weren't using them.

"Hey, what's up?" Melissa asked.

"Trash Might stopped me in the hall and tried to convince me to drop out and then after he thought he convinced me was ready to go run off to Nezu," I muttered loud enough for them to hear.

"I still don't understand why he doesn't realize that you would do wonders as underground heroes," Tokage sighed. "Do you need a hug to calm down?"

"Maybe." I then felt two pairs of arms wrap around me and I froze. Oh gods, this feels amazing! "Thanks, I feel better now," I said.

"Any time," Tokage said.

"You know we care for you," Melissa added, her face slightly strained.

"Can Class 1-A please go to the entrance," Present Mic said.

"Alright, by number let's go," I said.

Everyone got into a small group in order of our student numbers.

"Now introducing the class that survived a villain attack, Class 1-A!" Present Mic yelled through the speakers as we walked out. "They are followed by Hero Course Class 1-B, then General Education Course classes C, D, and E, after them is Support Course classes F, G, and H, and last but not least, Business Course classes I, J, and K," Present Mic announced as they all walked into the middle. "This year the Referee for the first years is none other than the Principal of UA himself, Nezu!"

"Hello, and welcome, now for the athletes oath, first place in both the Hero and Support entrance exams as well as the representative of Class 1-A, Izumi Sogeki," Nezu said, holding a small microphone on the stage

"Of course I wasn't told," I muttered, putting my bag down and walking up. I went to the mic that was on the stand as I took a deep breath. "My class was attacked by villains, and we were scared. I thought I watched as one of our teachers and one of my best friends were killed. We got lucky and they were still alive. The villains might've thought that they could scare us, but we won't be scared that easily! Some people here are gunning for a spot in the Hero course, and I just want to say, we worked hard to get where we are so if you want this spot give one hundred percent and then give another ten percent to show you are willing to do what is needed! But also for those in the hero courses, we can't be lazy at all or our spots will be taken from us. If you think only going half way will cut it then get ready to be transferred for those who are putting the work in and are more deserving of these spots! This is my Oath! Everyone here will give it their all or they will fall behind and be forgotten! Plus Ultra!" I yelled, looking up to see all of the top ten sitting with most looking at me intrigued but Endeavor glared at me.

I walked back to my spot with the class and picked up my bag.

"Good speech," Jirou said.

"Thanks," I said.

"Now then, onto the first event!" Nezu said, a wheel spinning on the screen behind him. "This year it will be an obstacle race!" Nezu announced as it stopped.

"Alright, and this year to help me commentate is none other than Eraserhead!"

"Why did I agree to this?" the muffled voice of Mr. Aizawa asked.

I put on my gloves and my sticks on my back. I then put my utility belt with my grappling hook and a bunch of batarangs in it. I then took out my new goggles and put them over my eyes.

"Activate," I said.

"Looking good, all systems are ready," Tony said, through the bone conduction speakers on the goggles. "So you know some functions of mine will be unavailable, Nezu's orders to make it not too easy," he added.

It's fine, how's the mental communication working? I thought.

"Clear as can be," he said.

Good, can you keep a lookout for that lavender haired boy and try to figure out his quirk as well as activations?

"On it," Tony said, the small HUD locating him and adding a purple marker.

I then went and put a green marker on Melissa, Tokage, Jirou, and Hatsume then a red one on Todoroki, Bakugou, Yaoyorozu, and Ilda. I then set the 360 sensor to give me a warning of anything coming at me.

"Alright, begin in three, two, one-"

"The air around Todoroki is cooling down."

"Go!" Nezu announced as I jumped up as ice froze the ground.

I landed on all fours so as to not slip before parkouring over everyone who was frozen to the ground. I noticed that Melissa, Tokage, Bakugou, Todoroki, and Hatsume weren't frozen to the ground.

"Ow!"

"HEY!"

"Get off me!"

People kept complaining before I made it in front of them and kept running. I looked and smirked as I saw the zero Pointers from the exam. I looked past and saw a huge hole with stone pillars in the between the two sides. I went up to a zero pointer on the side and crawled into it like I did before.

Tony, can you take control of this as well as give a view?

"Already on it," he said. "Oh, and Nezu says good plan."

I watched as the feed in my goggles changed to that of the front of the zero pointer as well as virtual controls that I could run with my mind. I made the zero pointer turn around and start heading towards the big hole. I smiled as the pillars were close enough for me to just skip over it and drive over it using the robot. After we got across we got to a huge straight with bits of dirt that was different and a big sign that read mine field of fun. I just started driving across as the small explosions rocked the robot but not enough to damage it too much. I crawled out of the head as it kept going and noticed Bakugou and Todoroki were in front of me. I took the plate from my exit and crawled onto the hand of the robot.

Tony, yeet me.

"Don't die," he sighed as the robot pulled its arm back and I flung forward.

I angled myself near Bakugou and Todoroki were neck and neck next to each other. I landed with my feet on their shoulders and threw the plate down on the ground near their feet setting off all the mines in the area sending them off to the sides as I went forward. I rolled at the end of the mines and ran down the tunnel and into the stadium.

"And in first place we have Izumi Sogeki!" Present Mic announced.

"Thanks for the ride," Tokage said, her body floating behind Hatsume who flew in behind me.

Her hand floated off my belt and reattached itself to her. I looked up at the scoreboard to see the placements of everyone who has already finished.

Izumi Sogeki

Setsuna Tokage

Mei Hatsume

Shoto Todoroki

Katsuki Bakugou

Melissa Shield

"Fucking Deku!" Bakugou screeched, coming at me.

"Really going to try to attack me in front of everyone unprovoked? Aren't you already on strike two?" I asked, glaring at him as he stopped and turned scoffing.

"The last person has finished," Nezu announced.

I looked up to the board and noticed that most of class 1-A had made it, all except one.

"Man, I can't believe Yaoyorozu didn't make it," Sero muttered.

"Now then, onto the second event!" Nezu said as the wheel started spinning again. "And it'll be the Cavalry Battle."

Nezu then started to explain how it would work. (I've explained this in other fics and am done, you know how it works and if you don't go to the MHA wiki) At the end he added that first place was worth one million points while looking at me. I then felt everyone's eyes turn to me with hatred in them. I blocked them out as I have my whole life. We were then told to go form teams.

"Green, let's team up!" Hatsume said, walking over to me.

"Hey Hatsume, gonna join us?" Melissa said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"Of course!"

"I guess I should too as payment for hitching a ride with you," Tokage said, walking over, and a plan formed in my head.

"Oh, I can most definitely work with this," I said, smirking in a way reminiscent of Nezu.

After I explained the plan I looked around and noticed that the lavender haired boy was talking to Bakugou but after Bakugou yelled at him he looked shocked before turning around. I noticed Ashido, Jirou, Kirishima, and Toga formed a team as well as Ilda, Todoroki, Uraraka, and Kaminari. Bakugou grabbed Sero, Shouji, and Ojiro for his team with him as the rider.

"What's this, the top three from the first event teamed up, what do you think their plan is?" Mic asked.

"Well, with the problem child as the rider I can only imagine what chaos she has planned with her friends," Mr. Aizawa sighed.

"Alright everyone, you may begin in three, two, one, go!" Nezu announced.

"Now!" I said, as I moved onto just Tokage and Melissa's shoulders as Hatsume took flight and lifted me up into the air above the top of the stadium.

"What is this? Hatsume has taken flight while carrying Sogeki who is the rider of their team while the rest of the team stayed on the ground! Is this legal?" Mic asked.

"The only rule was that the rider couldn't touch the ground, since Sogeki didn't touch the ground she's good, as for the rest of her team they aren't staying still," Mr. Aizawa said.

I watched as a hand floated up and handed me two bands as I put them on my neck.

"DEKU!" Bakugou screed using explosions to try to get up to us.

I pulled out a batarang and threw it at his hand while also shooting the grappling hook at his band and taking it off as he started to fall. He was caught by Sero's tape and landed safely with his team. We stayed up until the horn signaling the end of the round went off. Hatsume lowered us to the ground and set me down.

"In first place is Team Sogeki, in second is Team Todoroki, followed by Team Shinso, with Team Bakugou in last place!" Mic announced.

As the teams gathered two people stepped down as they felt like they hadn't earned the spot since they can't remember what happened. They pulled Ashido and Kirishima up before setting up the brackets for the third round tournament. In my first round I was up against Shinso, and looked over to see the lavender haired boy looking at me with a confident smirk on his face.

We were given a break between the rounds to get lunch. I ate with Tokage, Melissa, Hatsume, and Jirou. Once we were done I went to the waiting room before being called out.

"On one side we have class 1-A's Rep who has taken first in both events, Izumi Sogeki, and her opponent, the boy who has kept his head down for most of the event, Hitoshi Shinso!" Mic yelled.

"Alright, you can win either by your opponent leaving the ring, knocking them out, or them conceding the match," Nezu explained. "Begin."

"So, I heard you were dating that blonde bitch," Shinso said.

"Can you get a load of this guy?" I asked, looking at Nezu. "He thinks that he can get his quirk to work on me even though I've already broken down what it can do and how to counter it," I added, looking over to see Shinso freeze.

"What the hell, you should be under my control!" he yelled.

"He doesn't understand that his quirk requires me to respond to him, but it doesn't work if I talk to you," I said, looking at Nezu who smirked.

"You fucking bitch! I deserve that spot!" Shinso yelled, charging me wildly.

I stood my ground and threw him over my shoulder and out of the ring.

"Shinso is out of bounds! Sogeki wins!" Nezu announced.

I walked past him and went to the area of the stands for my class. I sat down as Todoroki and Sero walked into the ring. The match was over as soon as it started as Todoroki made a huge glacier that engulfed Sero's whole body but also shot up towards us. After the ice melted Ashido and Kirishima made their way to the ring. Ashido stood confident while Kirishima seemed to be contemplating something before looking up.

"Begin!"

"I yield," Kirishima said as Ashido froze mid move to go after him.

"Are you sure?" Nezu asked.

"Yes, while my hardening could withstand her acid for a bit, I wouldn't be able to outlast her acid and beat her at the same time," Kirishima explained.

"Alright, Kirishima yields the match so Ashido wins!" Nezu said.

The two of them stepped off as Kendo and Uraraka went into the ring. When the match started Kendo enlarged her hands and grabbed Uraraka as she tried to touch Kendo. Kendo then set Uraraka outside of the ring, taking the match. Kaminari and Shouji's match didn't take too long as when Shouji touched Kaminari he let enough electricity to knock the boy out. Hatsume's match against Ilda was comical to say the least. She flew up and made Ilda look at the sky which blinded him because of his glasses before she grabbed him from behind and threw him off the ring. Melissa went up with Ojiro glaring at her as he got in the ring. The two of them started fighting using pure martial arts and it looked closer to a dance before Melissa jumped back and used the Widow's Drop and knocked him out. After she won I straightened up as Tokage and Bakugou both stepped into the ring.

The match started and Bakugou charged Tokage with explosions before she just fell to the ground. I clenched my fists concerned at what her plan was. I then watched as her fists started to punch Bakugou as they were detached. Tokage then stood up but as soon as she did Bakugou released a large explosion that sent her flying off of the platform. She stood up and looked at her hands which were starting to regrow. I sighed as I got up and went to go wait for my match. I walked down the hall when a large man appeared before me.

"To see how far UA has fallen, allowing people like you at the school for the elite like Shoto," Endeavor said.

"So, it was you who told the press," I said.

"Indeed, I had hoped that Nezu would realize it would be smart to just rid of you but the rat seems determined to ignore my complaints about you," he said. "I want to tell you now, leave now and-"

"Endeavor, you aren't by any chance trying to threaten the student who is about to fight your son are you?" Ryukyu asked, walking behind me.

"Of course you are here. I assume my daughter and grandchildren are also here," Endeavor said.

"They are and you will have nothing to do with them, ever," Ryukyu said. "Kid, go beat Shoto. Lord knows the kid needs to be brought down a couple pegs."

"A worthless thing like this can't beat my creation, even with his refusal to use his quirk," Endeavor said.

"Let's make a bet then, if Sogeki wins you leave me and my family alone forever," Ryukyu said.

"Fine, and then when Shoto wins I'll be able to see my grandchildren and start training them," Endeavor said.

"If you win you can start training them at the age of ten," Ryukyu bartered.

"Deal, I expect to see them as soon as the match is over," he said, walking away.

"Don't worry, you got this," Ryuku said. "Just don't be afraid to be a little aggressive. You were a little too passive in your last match."

"Alright, um, thank you for the vote of confidence, and I'm sorry if I lose," I said.

"Don't worry kid, I know you won't," she said.

I went to the tunnel to the ring and walked out.

"And now we have 1-A's Ice Cold Prince of Fire Shoto Todoroki vs. the Quirkless Queen who has been dominating the Festival so far, Izumi Sogeki!" Present Mic announced as everyone stopped cheering for a moment. "Did I say something?"

"That was the first time you announced her with her quirk status, and all of you should be ashamed. You were cheering her on before but since you are all quirkist idiots you stopped because of something out of her control. The fact that this many of you are that messed up in your thinking is just sad," Mr. Aizawa said.

"Sogeki, I recommend you yield so I don't have to hurt you," Todoroki said.

"Don't get ahead of yourself," I said, pulling out my escrima sticks.

"Begin!" Nezu said, his voice slightly less cheery.

I jumped to the side as a wave of ice came at me. I then leaped back as another wave made its way towards me. I started to make my way towards him as the ice started to come slower.

"If you are going to half ass it and expect to win then you didn't listen to my speech at the beginning, you need to give a hundred percent and then some to win!" I yelled hitting him with my escrima sticks and sending an electric shock through his body. I pulled my sticks back and watched as he fell to the ground.

"Shoto Todoroki is unconscious, Izumi Sogeki wins!" Nezu announced.

The stadium was quiet, no one was cheering.

Clap, clap, clapclapclapclap!

Slowly, some people in the stadium started cheering for me. I looked up to see most of the teachers and my classmates were cheering. I looked to where most of the top ten and saw most were flabbergasted as Hawks and Mirko both clapped for me. Endeavor gave me a glare before turning to look at the other two heroes who were clapping. There were some people in the general crowd who also clapped and cheered for me.

I smiled as I turned around and walked off. I went to the tunnel and saw someone standing there clapping for me. I blinked and she was gone. I shook my head as I walked into the tunnel and started walking towards the stands before stopping and taking a deep breath to calm my nerves. I then made my way and sat down just as Ashido made Kendo step out of the ring. I watched as Hatsume and Kaminari both stepped into the ring. When the match started Hatsume threw a small device at Kaminari which caused his body to short out his brain and she just set him outside of the ring. I watched as Melissa and Bakugou were both announced, I noted that Mic didn't state her quirk status probably since he decided against it since what happened when he gave mine. I watched as Melissa looked at Bakugou and pulled out her glock as the match started and she shot him with all of her rubber bullets keeping him from coming forward, but not pushing him back. Then they stopped coming and she looked up at him.

"I Yield!" Melissa yelled as he started to charge her.

"Katsuki Bakugou moves to the semi-finals!" Nezu announced as Bakugou landed next to her.

AN-

So, I wasn't originally going to split the Sports Festival up, but looking at how long this is and what else I have planned for it, if I don't split it up I will have a chapter that is longer than I like to make. I know I did for the USJ but that's because there wasn't a good splitting spot. Now, the next chapter will be the rest of the Sports Festival. Also keep giving me your opinions on who Izumi should go with! Make sure to follow, favorite, comment, and kudos! Link Out!
