The sun was setting in a beautiful crimson red, almost like human blood. Sesshomaru looked to the west and saw the glowing orb become a glowing half circle as he walked, followed shortly by Jaken and Rin who was riding that cow thing.
"Master Sesshomaru do you not smell the foul air?" Jaken asked in anxiety as the party entered a deep woods.
His master stayed silent and simply stopped short in front of a pair trees that almost looked like an archway. Between the trees there was nothing but a deep abyss. "Show yourself," he threatened.
"You must be patience Lord Sesshomaru," Naraku said materalizing in front of them.
"Master Sesshomaru! It's the demon that was so rude to you so many years ago!!" Jaken said referencing the many times that Naraku had tried to use him for his own bidding. It was years since that now, there were even tales of his half demon brother becoming wholly human for that woman in strange clothing.
"I have a proposition for you, more of a gift actually," Naraku said; he was a shadow of what he had once been. Inuyasha had allowed him to live but he had been stripped of all of his power and he was weak now.
"Gift?" Sesshomaru asked.
Naruku brushed back the hem of his robes to reveal what looked like a teenage human girl huddled against herself in a fetal position but her scent was strange and gave Sesshomaru the impression that perhaps she was demon.
"She's naked!" Rin giggled, she herself was a young teen now, but she still acted very young.
"What use do I have for something like this?" Sesshomaru asked the phantom in front of him.
"She is young, but strong and smart. Think of her as something of a clay doll, dress her up in anyway you like," Naraku began to explain, "You must be beginning to think of your bloodline Lord Sesshomaru, if not you, then who is left but your revolting human brother. You could never allow your family to be dishonored that way could you?"
"Women are of the least importance to me," Sesshomaru said as he turned to leave.
"Then use her as a mer-" Naraku began, but before he could finish, it became apparent that the girl at his feet had stretched out a hand and clutched Lord Sesshomaru's ankle.
