You know, it said a lot about the situation that I couldn't fathom what caused it to begin with, and yet it seemed to be rather logical in its situational circumstances. What did I mean?
Simple. A supernatural group of morons, primarily a group of Fallen Angels, targeted the fast food place we went to.
"Senpai, what's on your mind this time?" Sakura asked me.
"I can't explain it properly, not while we're here in this fast-food joint, Sakura. Maybe at a later point?"
Sakura only nodded, seeing that I could do nothing more to explain.
Still, what led up to this situation? Well, it started as a normal day, but... well, so much happened, and it's not even funny what took place. Earlier, we had checked into the equivalent of a love hotel mixed with a traditional inn, followed by the three of us heading to this joint. It was looking to be rather... what's the word? Stupid? Yeah, sure, let's go with that.
Ah, well. At least there's more to this than that. I am grateful we made a new friend while in Kuoh Town. Now, what were they doing in Kuoh Town, and why am I going to regret this meeting?
See, it started simply enough, our trip to this fast food place. First, we got into the restaurant, looking as new as we could be to fast-food places. Then, we had to make our orders, which was a good thing for us. This ordering of food was especially nice, considering the fact we had barely eaten anything since breakfast that day... well, okay, I ate lunch with the Hyoudou family. That's not what matters now.
"Shirou, we need to keep our heads in the game. I hope you realize that, do you?"
"Fine, onee-chan, I get it."
So, here's the situation. We were having our meal together when this group of supernaturals walked into the restaurant and started killing people left and right.
Then again, because of the situation at hand, we didn't know what we were supposed to do, other than duck under our table and stay safe until we could find an opening. It was the only thing we could even do.
I hated the fact we couldn't do a thing to save the people in trouble. It went against my nature as Emiya Shirou. Still, where were we, again? I hope it wasn't where the reviews said was a magnificent spot for anything and everything, food-wise, that is. This sucks a lot.
I looked at the tray, which held our food on top. It said McDonald's stuff on it. Yep, this was the place I was afraid it would be.
So, I had to be sure we could get out of this place alive, while also helping as many people as we could get out of here. It certainly would be a good thing for us. Why did we decide to go to McDonald's now of all times?
"So, what's your reason for being in the neighborhood?"
Oh, right, our friend in this situation is a teenage girl named Ranma Saotome. Why? I do not know. What happened to regular Ranma? Ugh...
Still, I had to say something to appease her. "We're hoping to go to school in Kuoh Academy. We went to school in Fuyuki until a terrorist attack happened that destroyed all the schools."
Ranma-san shivered. "Yeah, I get it. I'm no stranger to property damage destroying the entire school and forcing us to be out of town for schooling."
"You're speaking from experience, Ranma-chan?"
Dammit, Ilya-onee-chan! Why are you addressing her with an honorific that means you want to be close to her?! This is going to be a massive headache for me, and I don't even have my headache pills to take with this.
"Plenty, though not because there was a terrorist attack or anything that destroyed my school," Ranma-san said, a faint dusting of red on her face. "It was a Martial Artist who got too big for his britches and destroyed the entire school. I don't know why, either."
That sucks… ouch. Poor Ranma-san.
"Still, enough about that," Sakura said. "How do we get out of here? I mean, those people are not about to let us go that easily, are they?"
Ranma-san looked under the table we were hiding in and seemed to take stock of the situation. "I can make out fifteen other people that are being targeted, but are completely civilians, to use the fighter lingo on the subject."
"You're a fighter?" Sakura asked. "What sort of fights do you get into?"
Ranma-san breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth. "Martial Artists would always come after Pops and I when I was younger, though it was a right pain for when the old man confused me for being a boy the whole time. I don't get it... why did Pops confuse me for being a boy who needed to man up and fight all the people that went after us, and all on my own?"
I did not know what I could say about the gender issues that Ranma Saotome struggled through, canonically, but I didn't need to say anything there. Instead, I asked, "Would you be willing to train us in fighting unarmed, in case we need the ability to fight on your level?"
Ranma-san blinked a few times before she nodded. "Sure, why not? I'd be more than happy to do that." She then turned to look at the Fallen Angels. "If only we had a way to get all the civilians out of this mess alive, though."
I shuddered. This was looking to be a massacre, from the looks of it. We had to step in and stop this mess. But how? It seemed to be pointless from what it looked like over here.
No, snap out of that, moron! I could save the people here, and that's enough for my conscience to handle. I know it! Now, what sort of battle plan did the three of us need?
I mean, it wasn't as if I knew how to use any other magecraft than what canonical Shirou could use, all things considered. What I wouldn't give for the chance to use more than Magecraft-centered abilities, abilities which I had no way of actually using without the time to train my power up... oh, wait, that's a bad idea. Am I willing to give my soul to the Devil? By that, I mean Alaya, but there's more to it than that in Kuoh Town.
Well, no time like the present to figure out what I can realistically do, given I believe I still have Avalon in my body. This will be a right pain to figure out if I'm not careful.
So... I needed to confirm with Ilya-onee-chan and Sakura that they'd be willing to take part in the fight, before I did anything stupid like charge right on in. Here goes. First, I looked at their level and name indicators above their heads.
«Einzbern Justica-model half-Homunculus»
Ilyasviel von Emiya Lvl 1
«Tohsaka Spare Heiress/Zolgen's Accidental Heiress»
Tohsaka Sakura Lvl 1
So far, so good... and they're the same level I am, too. This will be easy for me to work with, so it seems. Now, what was Ranma-san's level at?
«Mistress of the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts»
Saotome Ranma Lvl 50
If this were more of an anime than normal, I'd have bugged my eyes out. What gives?! There's literally no way that Ranma-san would be afraid of fighting the Fallen in town at this rate unless... oh, wait. I think I get the idea why she's not fighting the Fallen Angels. The Fallen Angels are all able to harden their bodies and such in so many dangerous ways. Plus, they play even dirtier than a regular fight in which Ranma-san would take part in. How could I have forgotten that?
Still, here's the fight that I needed to take part in, and I needed to make sure we could survive. "Invite Ilya-onee-chan, Tohsaka Sakura, and Saotome Ranma to the Party."
Immediately, the interface appeared in front of the three I mentioned. Fortunately, Ilya-onee-chan and Sakura were used to this level of power I was showing them, at least somehow. Ranma-san, however... well, that's where the problems start. She played no Video Games in her life, from what I could gather about her reaction, sadly. Why do I say it that way? Well…
"What the crap am I even looking at?" she asked, before turning to face me. "What did you do?"
"I was born with that ability to see life like a video game," I said. That was practically all the explanation I could give on the subject for the time being, though, since I got two confirmations that people accepted the Invite, and neither of them were Ranma-san. Good thing, too, since the Fallen Angels in the area soon began their advance towards our location. What gives?
The leader of this group materialized a Light Spear and swiped it at the table we were hiding under before it left us defenseless. "Well, well... look what we have here. Four foolish mortals who thought it a good idea to stop us from our rightful purging of the place."
I don't know what possessed me to do this, but I had to follow through with it. Either way, I had to be feeling extra snarky to pull this off. "What in Heaven's name do you have against Ronald McDonald? I mean, you are smashing apart his business. I hope you realize that."
The rest of the Fallen Angels, the ones not the leader, were visibly confused. If I was hearing their comments right, it seemed to be like this:
"Wait, who's Ronald McDonald?"
"Isn't he supposed to be some sort of clown on American TV?"
"How do you know what a clown is, and what do you mean by American TV?"
"Is any of this even important?"
There were four underlings in this flock of Fallen Angels, and the Leader was really getting mad at me for what I'd been doing to lighten the mood up a little. How did I know that? His face contorted in rage.
"Impudent little... let's see you snark your way through this!"
It was at that moment when he jabbed his Light Spear at me, aiming to pierce my heart... uh-oh. Wait, don't I have Gamer's Body as a skill?
[Skill Discovered. You now have access to Gamer's Body.]
Er... what? How did that happen when I thought about it? Still, no time to snark at the system for giving me this skill now, of all times.
The lead Fallen Angel's Light Spear didn't even do as much as scratch my clothes before the spear shattered. However, this was not without its consequences.
[You have taken 450 HP damage.]
Ouch... not good. How do I get out of this alive?
At that point, though, the other Fallen Angels laughed at their boss. Maybe the fact they're laughing at the boss of this flock would be to my benefit. I dunno.
"Oh, man, boss! I can't believe you failed to make a strong enough spear able to pierce a single mortal!"
"Yeah, I mean, how do you fail at the ability to kill a regular human like that?! It's pathetic of you!"
"No one in their right mind would put you in charge based on the skill level you have, idiot. What, did you sleep with one of the Cadre to get to your position?"
"I think you should step down to let one of us take the kill shot with that human and his group."
The boss of the flock turned his attention back to the lackeys. "Oh, you think one of you could pull it off better than I could, huh? Well, be my guest, you louts!"
This was enough time for me to get the needed confirmation that Ranma-san took on the opportunity needed to join the Party. I barely gave her a thumbs up when my interface pinged me with some information. What now...?
[Because of the overpowered nature of the newest member of your party, we will compensate you, your sister-figure, and your student with massive Experience Point buffs until you hit Level 20 or disband the party with Saotome Ranma, whichever comes first. Thank you for your time and understanding.]
Wait, what? How did that even remotely make sense?
[You mean you don't get it? The enemies you're about to face are within your ability to fight, but they're considerably stronger than you, and yet way weaker than Saotome Ranma. Please keep that in mind.]
Well... when you put it that way, I guess it makes sense. So… how to best get this fight won on our end, without losing a single point of HP more than already lost. "Hey, Ranma-san, how about you show us what you can do against these people?"
"Why, of course I'll be happy to, Emiya-san," Ranma-san said, before cupping her hands into a ready position and launching them forward. "MOKO TAKABISA!"
As she launched her cupped hands forward, there was a pure wave of Ki that flowed from her palms and fingers out into a beam of physical energy. She directed the Ki to head to the leader of this flock of Fallen Angels while the lot of them argued pointlessly over who would fight and kill us. Not only that, but the beam of energy had to be especially powerful, all things considered. I mean, the beam was so powerful it dealt enough damage to blow the Fallen Angel in half.
Okay, note to self: do nothing to deserve the effect of that. It wouldn't do anyone any good if I found myself in those shoes.
Ranma-san, however, seemed to notice something wrong with her situation. "Hey, why did my using Moko Takabisha take up all of my MP, whatever that's good for?"
I had to do a double-take at that. What was she talking about?
[Saotome Ranma has a rather high intelligence score, but a low wisdom score. The higher the Wisdom score, the better you can recover your MP. Please be sure to relay this to her.]
I think I get it... still, what am I supposed to do now? Am I supposed to tell her the entire story about her MP situation in the middle of the battlefield? I don't think that will fly as well as it'd be possible outside of a battle.
[For thinking that through rationally, you gain +1 Wisdom. Be sure to keep that in mind.]
Huh? How did that happen? Wait, was that because of my ability to use the Gamer's Sight power I have now? It sure seemed that way. What do I do with that extra point to my Wisdom Attribute?
[Oh, you'll find out soon enough, Shounin Shirou.]
Uh-huh... this is going to be a pain and a half. I mean, how am I supposed to wait with this source of anticipation?
"Senpai, what's going on with you?"
I turned to face Sakura, before I noticed that someone was preparing a Light Spear from the flock of Fallen Angels. "For the glory of Lord Kokabiel!"
Hoo, boy, were we in deep shit right now, am I right? Still, these people were itching for a fight. I'd better give it my all for right now.
With that said, I activated my self-hypnosis ability to strengthen my body to fight as a way of saving the remaining people in the restaurant. "Trace On."
What happened next, I don't think anyone could have expected, come to think of it. What were the odds of this happening like that, to begin with? I mean, who would have expected that the Fallen Angels would do something as completely ridiculous as issue a bounty on my head in the Supernatural world for no reason because of the battle?
What do I mean, exactly? Well... that would be a problem to try explaining. I think I'd be better off just showing you the outcome I came to.
As soon as the Fallen Angels saw what I was about to do, the rest of them formed Light Spears and they all gripped their weapons, as if waiting for a chance to fight us without losing their spears. I didn't want to lose this fight, though, not at all. What do I mean? Not only was my inability to stop saving people staying with me, but there was the distinct possibility that the current Devils in charge of Kuoh's other Supernatural side of things wouldn't get here in time if there was to be a bloodbath that they could fully, or even partially, prevent.
However, what the Fallen Angels could not predict was that they'd lose, and to a bunch of so-called "rebellious nimrods that Father created" (or so I'm thinking is the right way to say it). There was more to this fight than what those morons could comprehend. I was more than willing to show them the error of their ways immediately.
Using Reinforcement to enhance my skeletal and musculature structures in the right spots, while using Alteration to alter out the wimpy sections of both of them, I suddenly noticed that there was a new notification that I needed to deal with… what now? I took a quick look to see what it said.
[Because of a specific action taken, the skill Bodily Reinforcement has been created.]
I gaped. This was a massive improvement to having to use up all my Magic Circuits with the spell!
[Bodily Reinforcement (Active/Passive) Level 5 (5% to next level).]
[Bodily Reinforcement is the ability to reinforce yourself with Magecraft by a specific percentage value per level of this skill. This skill works by using one of your Magic Circuits to channel the Od in your body to reinforce your muscles and your skeleton to massive levels... eventually. Each passive use of it is equal to the total value when actively used divided by 3.]
[Passive gains are currently 50% of total Strength and Constitution Scores. Active gains are 150% of total Strength and Constitution.]
If I weren't in the middle of a life-or-death battle, I'd bug my eyes out. That was a massive gain on my end. Then again... did the use of the Reinforcement Spell on my body improve just those two stats? Or did I have to improve my nerves with Reinforcement as well, just to gain bonus points for Dexterity?
Actually... no, I'd better not do that to myself. Why? Because the use of Magecraft with my nerves would be detrimental, even if I were to reinforce them with my Od. This sucks. Still, I would have to check my stats after the battle ended, since I'm not about to end with my life lost.
Okay, enough chit-chat about this. It's time to talk about the battle.
I took a quick glance at the remaining Fallen Angels in the area. With a quick glance at their Levels, I could see something rather impressive... their strength was rather pathetic for their numerical Levels, especially if the Leader was anything to go by.
«Kokabiel Lackey»
Enosh Lvl 20
«Kokabiel Lackey»
Amos Lvl 19
«Kokabiel Lackey»
Rasputin Lvl 21
«Kokabiel Lackey»
Gregory Lvl 18
I wonder what level of power their leader used to have...? Wait, he's still moving?! But that Moko Takabisha was powerful enough to blow him in half!
«Kokabiel Lackey/Flock Leader»
Marx Lvl 30
Ugh... stupid interface for giving me trouble.
"You morons!" the leader snarled. "Get to fighting without waiting for me next time, you hear me?! Now, I need to heal up the right way, before the mortals get any funny ideas..."
Uh… what did I just listen in on? I don't think I want to know just yet.
Then again, the battle was joined once again. Only thing was, Sakura and Ilya-onee-chan were more than happy to prove they weren't wallflowers. Sakura summoned a veritable wave of dark energy into the enclosed space that we fought in, which was rather entertaining to see happen, while Ilya-onee-chan set forth a few wired familiars to attack the enemies. Then again, with me, I actively used Bodily Reinforcement to get stronger and fight a nearby intact Fallen with my fists. This was a good use of my fighting ability to take out a bunch of Fallen Angels the right way.
The fight was going to get rather crazy because of what we were doing in this McDonald's restaurant. Here's hoping that the morons don't get out alive... ouch.
I threw a straight pair of punches at the Fallen Angel I targeted and saw a red negative number flash over the points where I hit the minion. Is that supposed to happen?
-500 HP
-250 HP
I'll take that as a yes, it seems. This is getting crazy.
It was at that point the Fallen Angel I hit cried out in pain. "Ow! What's with this mortal?!"
As if I'll ever tell you what's with me. "Maybe you should focus on improving your ability to fight back?"
The Fallen Angel growled at me. "You... cocky little human! I'll kill you for that!"
"Go ahead. Bring it on."
The Fallen Angel swung his Light Spear in my direction, which was a sideways swipe, one that I ducked under barely.
[For successfully dodging the attack headed your way, you have gained +1 Dexterity.]
You're... kidding, right?
"How?! You weren't supposed to dodge it!"
I rolled my eyes. "Blame it on how slow you are, not on how impossible it is for me to dodge at this rate."
With that, the Fallen Angel roared in fury. "I'll get you for this!"
As he thrusted his Light Spear towards me, I had the chance to see how slow his actions were, at least based on my perception of how this went. I mean, can you blame me for being able to track his movements like an Uchiha from the Naruto franchise? Come to think of it, how am I able to do that?
[I'm not at liberty to say what the deal with that is just yet. Sorry to say that, but it's the truth.]
Fine, I get it. Ugh... when will I get the truth out of you about my ability to do that?
[Not yet... maybe in a few months? I suppose that should do the trick.]
Okay, fine, I get it for real. Now, where was I in this fight? Oh, right, I had to dodge the thrust of the Light Spear, didn't I? Wait, what would happen if I grabbed the spear before it could pierce me?
[Try to do so, young man. It all depends on how lucky you are.]
Wait just a minute... that's it! "May the karma of all my foes be accrued! Telos Karma!"
With that, as the Fallen Angel I was fighting was barely an inch away from hitting me this time, the enemies paused in mid-action to look at me. "Huh?!"
As far as I was concerned, though, they were idiots. The one I was fighting let his spear-holding hand go slack, allowing me to grab it and swing it at the moron's throat, decapitating him... uh... oops?
[You have killed a Fallen Angel twenty levels over your own! Everyone in your party gains 100,000 EXP!]
I blinked. Well, that's an accomplishment. Am I right?
[You have Leveled up!]
There was more that I had to deal with, of course, but for now? I let that stay in the background while I fought the Fallen Angels. I had taken my eyes off of my previous foe, before I saw the leader of the Flock of Fallen Angels here, resulting in a thought hitting my head. What if I were to kill this Fallen Angel that was still recovering? Would that be a good idea, according to the System?
[No, it would not be a good idea, actually. It won't net you any EXP while you're fighting the rest of them as well.]
Ugh... so much for that. I guess I had to make do with what I had access to.
"You little..." the lead Fallen Angel of this flock had to be pissed. How could I tell that? He had spittle flying out of his mouth. "You're going to pay for that!"
At that moment, the rest of the flock of Fallen Angels backed away from their boss, which resulted in the lot of them getting killed by the others in the Combat Party. Sakura used her Shadow manipulation power to crush one of the remaining Fallen Angels, Ilya-onee-chan set one of her wire-based familiars to strangle a second one, and Ranma-san pulled the wings off of the last one that wasn't Marx... along with the spinal column of said grunt.
Okay, note to self: don't get Ranma-san so mad at me I go through a similar predicament.
[Your party members have killed their foes with such a ridiculous ease, it's not even funny! Everyone in your party gains 21,000 EXP!]
[You have Leveled up!]
I got another level up notice from what the party and I had done? That... okay, that should be a good thing, right? Heck, if I know... ugh. What do I do?
"Hey, guys, what's this about levels going up for you guys?"
The rest of us turned to face Ranma-san, even the leader of the flock of Fallen Angels that was antagonizing the rest of the restaurant. I guess I needed to keep Marx from doing anything stupid, like reporting this to Kokabiel, especially since the Fallen Angels under the Watcher of Stars had nothing that was good for the Gamer's Sight Sacred Gear... right?
[For intuiting something rather impressive with no foreknowledge at all, you gain +5 Wisdom.]
Uh-huh... this is going to suck.
"What sort of drivel are you going on about, you red-headed bitch?" Marx looked as if he was about ready to burst a blood vessel in his head. "Levels? What sort of nonsense are you talking about?!" At that point, he reattached his body together, making it whole once more. "Enjoy your drivel while it still lasts, mortals!"
I looked at Marx's level again, to see if we were in real trouble at this rate.
Kokabiel Lackey/Flock Leader
Marx Lvl 30
No, it didn't look like we were in any trouble this time. Thank goodness for that, right? I mean... wait, what's going on now?
[For performing a specific action multiple times in this area, you have gained the Observation Skill.]
Finally! I got to use the Observation skill! Now, how much of my MP does it use at all?
[Observation (Active) Level 1 (19% to next level)]
[Allows you to gain details about the target of your eyesight per individual use of the skill. Costs 5 MP to use.]
That answers that question. I'm glad I got it resolved. Thank you, System Interface, for giving me this skill at long last!
I turned to Marx, using the skill I just gained, leading up to me saying under my breath, "Observe."
[Marx the Fallen Angel is a foe who you would rather not face on your own, given all that he's able to do. He's an amalgamation Fallen Angel, one who is a synthetic creation, and able to regenerate from most anything. It might take a headshot to get rid of him.]
Uh-oh... what did we do to deserve him for an opponent? I do not know. Still, we needed to fight this guy, and we were going to win. I know that much. "Ranma-san, get ready to headshot the enemy, please."
Ranma-san seemed to be ready to do just that, since she pulled out a senbon from... somewhere, and I didn't pay attention to see where she pulled it from. "Roger that, Shirou-san." With that, she threw the senbon at Marx, piercing him through his left eye and hitting his brain.
[Everyone in your party has gained 50,000 EXP!]
[You have leveled up!]
[You have leveled up!]
I nearly felt the urge to throw up as the Fallen Angel fell to the ground, finally dead, when I saw the following words from the interface.
[Skill Discovered. You now have access to Gamer's Mind.]
Thank you, Interface.
"Senpai, are you okay?"
I turned to look at Sakura, who was eyeing me with something akin to concern... well, it may as well have been that. What was I supposed to say to her?
"I should be, Sakura," I said at last. "Sorry, this was a sudden issue. I'll just say that. I might not really be used to how this is supposed to go yet."
"Yes, I understand, Senpai," Sakura said. "Please be careful going forward, okay?"
"I will, Sakura, I promise."
At that point, Ilya-onee-chan coughed into her hand. "I think we need to be extra careful about how this battle will be portrayed to the public. Do we need to hypnotize the people who are outside of this enclosed darkness into believing that a random terrorist attack happened here?"
Ranma-san looked at us with a bit of suspicion in her eyes. "Are you mages, by any chance?"
I had to do damage control; I knew it, so I had to think of what we would be to her. "Unorthodox mages, actually. We're the sort who would rather not do anything to harm the normal population."
Ranma-san blinked before the suspicion left her eyes. "Huh, okay then."
Just like that? Wow… that's a first. "Thank you for understanding."
Ranma-san shook her head. "No, no, thank you for being the mages who would not harm the normal population. I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear it from me, but it's impressive that you can keep your humanity while using that power. If there's anything I need to know about for future reference, please let me know."
I nodded. "Thank you for your understanding, anyway. It means a lot to us."
Eventually, Sakura and Ilya-onee-chan removed the evidence of a fight happening in that McDonalds, at least based on the Supernatural side of things. However, partway through that, the Devil Kings of Kuoh Town arrived. I was wondering when they'd show up... this is going to be awkward.
"Excuse us," the redhead of the two, Rias Gremory, said. "What happened here, and why are you burning the bodies of five Fallen Angels that... wait, five Fallen Angels?!"
Yes, you read that right, people. Sakura and Ilya-onee-chan burned the bodies of the lackeys of Kokabiel. What were we supposed to do with that? I do not know. Fortunately, however, we kept their clothes and their identification papers on hand, in case someone asked about this.
I cleared my throat. "Here's what happened while you were away from here. This group of lackeys belonging to the faction of Fallen Angels led by Kokabiel tried to murder everyone in the restaurant, and the four of us fought back to save everyone else. Right now, though, we're pooped from how hard we fought. Could we please go back to our lodgings and crash for the night?"
The glasses-wearer, Sona Sitri, adjusted her glasses with her right index finger. "Maybe, but that only depends on if you will answer why you're burning the five bodies... are they naked, by any chance?"
I nodded. "Yes, they are, but the leader of the Fallen Angels in this flock could regenerate from anything but a headshot. Make of that what you will."
This caused both girls to blanch. "Thank you for explaining that, mister...?" Rias asked.
"Shounin," I said. "Shounin Shirou. The four of us are going to Kuoh Academy soon, because our schools are being renovated against the students' wills."
Sona nodded. "Very well, Shounin-san. Please call us when you get into school if you have any issues come up."
Rias nodded, but then put a hand to her chin. "Who are your friends, Shounin-san?"
"Hello," Sakura said. "My name is Tohsaka Sakura. Pleased to meet you. Although, my name on the paperwork is currently under the wrong family name, as in Matou."
"Hi," Ilya-onee-chan said. "I'm Emiya Ilya. Pleasure to meet the two of you."
"Yo," Ranma-san said. "The name's Saotome Ranma. Good to meet ya."
This seemed to resolve things... until Sona brought something to our attention. "What about their clothes? Could we use them to identify who they were, and if they really belonged to the Kokabiel faction of the Fallen Angels?"
I nodded, placing their clothes between me and the Devil Kings. "I hope you can pull it off, you two," I said.
That was a pleasant way to end that exchange, since they collected the clothes and stuck around to help with destroying the bodies of the Fallen Angels. How we had to handle the rest of that, well, I had no other way of doing it. This was going to be a right pain in the bum.
Now... what else would we need to worry about? I hope that the fight was kept under the radar enough to prevent Kokabiel from finding out about this... ugh. Then again, what did I know?
"Lord Kokabiel, we have received a strange signal coming from the building housing Marx's flock."
"What sort of signal are we talking about?"
"It seems like there's a busy signal going on, but it's hard for us to pinpoint what caused it."
"A busy signal...? That tears it. They perished!"
"Wait, are you sure of that, Lord Kokabiel?"
"Very sure of it, in fact. Now, let's be sure the investigators find out who killed them."
"I... yes, sir, as you command."
So, a few minutes later, Rias and Sona performed their hypnotism on the remaining people who were in the McDonalds when the fight took place. This included the manager of the store, to be fair, since the poor guy was inside as well. I hope that I never work in this McDonalds at all... for any reason.
To make things even worse for all involved, when we went to get groceries, the stores were all suspiciously closed. What gives?
"Senpai? Are we going to get groceries, or are we not?"
"Sorry, Sakura, but it seems we'll need to come back in the morrow. It wouldn't do any good if we force our way in right now."
With that, we returned to our lodgings for the week. Still, the Wakayama Inn is going to be rather interesting, especially if we can figure out where the source of the sex compulsions are coming from. What else are we supposed to do about this?
So, with that said, I had to get an idea of what to do from here. What do we do at this rate?
Well, no use crying over spilled milk, or so the saying goes. I wouldn't want to be in that position, either.
Still… we needed to do something. What could we do?
Suddenly, it hit me. There was something we could do at the Wakayama Inn. Now, how do I best get the girls to agree with that idea? The idea was that we go at it like bunnies in a celebration of getting out of this mess alive. I seriously hope this proves to be the best idea possible. It was going to be a rather long day otherwise. Nothing else was going to happen, unless we somehow get it into our systems that we had to go out of the Wakayama Inn for any reason. This is gonna suck.
A/N: Oh, you have no idea how bad this is going to be, mister Shounin Shirou. Essentially, you're going to be potentially knocking up all three of the ladies before they get ready to go to school, and... wait. Did I seriously say that?
Er... oh well. I'll figure something out about this as soon as I can.
Now, the next chapter is written, but I'll be holding off on the posting of that until I have more time to find votes on the subject. I hope that my readers here on FFN and on QQ will vote for what they want to see next in-story.
Oh, on a completely unrelated topic, I mentioned in the previous chapter that I released a new Let's Play series on YouTube. Look for my gamer handle on there, AKA XamuselUzumaki, and you'll find a video on Star Ocean: The Divine Force. I'm still unsure when I'll get the second video uploaded... ouch.
That should take care of everything for now... I hope.
Until We Meet Again... Farewell.
