History Always Repeats

Disclaimer: I don't own the charecters. I only am inspired by them.

AN: I took your suggestions and asked my brother to beta this for me. I need to learn to edit. Mabey one day. Sorry for all the stupid mistakes I'll be more carefull next time.

History again repeats her cry,

How many more must fight and die?

Liberty, equality, and fraternity,

Must this dream wait until eternity?

The ghosts of the past repeat their call

How will you answer the voices echoing in the hall?

Must it always come to this?

Slavery or war,

Must it continue evermore?

Revolutions are fought and barricades built.

Yet in the morning nothing has changed,

Again to work, again to the pain.

And of the gift the warriors had, who remembers?

The voices that lighted the dark,

Who now remembers their words?

Do we forget?

Do we ask why it must be thus?

A child's cry,

Silenced by a soldiers gun.

A peoples' dream,

The lonely hope of freedom.

Now they are at peace

And those of us left behind take up the fight with a quickened pace.

More death, more pain, and the lasting remnants of freedoms dream.

Will it ever end?

Can this war be over?

Tomorrow another battle.

The war of words has begun,

But how do they face the gun?

How do you fight when you cannot speak?

How does the dream of liberty survive?

When reality comes with its binds?

Who carries this hope across the land?

Will we ever see this Promised Land?
