"Draco? Draco? Are you okay?"

'Please somebody come, stop him, help me, stop them, I'm so sorry, help me, I need you anyone, oh, please, someone hear my mind, come find me, save me, get him away from me.'

"Draco? Please, please, respond to me. Move, twitch, do something!"

'No, please, no, leave me alone, I'll do anything. This isn't happening to me , no, no, no this isn't happening, no, please, this isn't happening, please, make it stop, help me, someone help me, please, anyone, please, this isn't happening to me.'

"Please, say something. Draco!"

'I won't scream, or cry. I won't. No. That's what you want and I can't give it to you. Don't scream, don't cry. Don't scream, don't scream. Don't give in. It's what he wants. You want and you can't have it. You laugh and the sound fills my ears and it hurts but I WON'T SCREAM!'

"Please. Leave me alone." He meant to scream, but it came out in a monotone whisper.

"Draco," She took his hand in her own. "Tell me what's wrong. Just look at me. Please." He did. She gasped. His normally silky-smooth platinum-blond hair was matted to his face with the blood that covered his body, leaking out of a hundred cuts. But- for her- the worst part was his eyes. They always snapped with mischief of shone with an inner light reserved for her alone, but as he looked at her she saw they were empty. Completely hollow and drowning in anguish.

"Did- did he do this to you?" She said, meaning his father. Draco nodded.

"Do you want me to leave?" Draco nodded again. She turned to leave but the sound of his voice stopped her in her tracts.

"Pansy?"

"Yea?"

"Thank you." He got up and walked over to her.

"For what?"

"For being you." He gave her a small smile and hugged her. She gasped and stiffened in his arms.

"Pansy? What's wrong?" He asked, dreading the inevitable answer.

"No- nothing."

"Pansy." He said, lifting one eyebrow, obviously not buying it. She averted her eyes, looking everywhere but him.

"Dad. After the Death Eater meeting. You know."

"Pansy! That was over a week ago. Why didn't you TELL me?"

She shrugged and slipped out of his hug. Draco gave a small gasp and staggered.

"Draco, are you okay? You've lost a lot of blood." He tried to speak and a gurgle of blood rose to his lips.

"You- your averting the issue." He managed.

"And YOU'RE staining my favorite carpet red." She said with a fake exasperated sigh. She picked up her wand and murmured a spell. Instantly Draco passed out, and Pansy began the work she had done countless times before.
