Chapter 6
''[We're nearing Vale]'' said Lopez.
''What?'' Grif asked.
''He say's we're nearing Vale'' translated Donut.
''[Oh way to go Pinky you actually understood what I was saying this time, but your probably not going to understand the next thing I say]'' said Lopez to himself before addressing the whole group ''[I'm gonna land us here, we can't get too close to the city without them spotting us, I don't think they're gonna like a giant airship hanging around in their airspace so it's best to land here and go to the city on foot or by car]''
''Lopez says he's landing us here to avoid detection since he doesn't think they're going to like us occupying their airspace'' Donut translated.
''Yeah that's probably for the best, we don't want to get attacked, try to land us somewhere we can avoid detection'' Wash ordered.
''[Wow, two for two you are on fire today aren't ya Pinky]'' said Lopez.
''Ha, ha, good one Lopez'' Sarge laughed ''but now it's time to curb the jokes and get serious alright son''
''[I already was serious but ok I'll get hyper serious cause why not]'' said Lopez.
''Ok, good'' nodded Sarge, before looking over to Simmons ''alright Simmons tell us your plan how's this chip going to help us?''
''It contains a program I've been working on for a couple of weeks now, all we need to do is put it into one of Beacons computers and it'll install into all of their computer systems and in doing so will give us a back door in, we'll be able to do things like access files, looks at things they've got planned, even video feed from the security cameras'' Simmons explained.
''Wow you can really do that with that little chip?'' Grif asked ''that's pretty awesome''
''Oh well, I always said that if I didn't join the army I'd probably be working at a software company in a really high position'' Simmons said with a shrug.
''[Ok how we gonna get it in? We gonna break into beacon? But what if we're captured? What if they think of that? What if-]'' rambled Lopez.
''Calm down Lopez'' said Sarge.
''[what I'm just trying to be hyper serious like you told me to be Sarge]'' replied Lopez.
''I know your a bit jealous that Simmons made the program making stuffs your thing we know, but don't worry son I know you'll top Simmons'' said Sarge ''no offence Simmons''
''None taken sir, I'm starting to enjoy the competition'' said Simmons.
''[ok, I'm just gonna stop the joke it wasn't funny anyways]'' Lopez mused to himself.
''Ok good'' Sarge nodded ''now then how are we gonna get that program downloaded?''
''That's the tricky part we need to directly install it into the Beacon computer network'' stated Simmons.
''Hmm, that's going to be tricky'' Wash mused ''it's probably best we don't all go in and only send in Simmons with two or three of us for back up''
''I agree'' Sarge nodded.
''Agent Washington, Sargent me and Donut have an idea'' said Caboose.
''Alright let's hear it then'' said Wash.
''Seriously, you're taking an idea from Caboose?'' Tucker asked.
''In my experience Caboose has had good ideas before'' stated Wash ''and Donut did help with the plan''
''Yeah it's a great idea don't worry'' said Donut brightly.
''You contributing does not alleviate my worries, in fact if anything it worsens them'' stated Tucker.
''No don't worry it's a really good idea, we walk inside'' said Caboose.
''You see, this is what I mean'' said Tucker.
''Hey let us finish the pitch then criticise us'' said Donut ''I've been working on disguises so we can walk around towns without taking our armour off, so we were thinking lets just disguise Simmons and send him in''
''Huh, you know that actually sounds good'' said Tucker thoughtfully.
''Told you, stupid Tucker'' said Caboose.
''That could work'' Wash mused ''only one problem, you need a special key card to get access to Beacon grounds''
''Oh yeah, that is a problem'' Donut said.
''Could we just have Simmons go in disguised as a worker or something?'' Doc asked.
''It would take time but yeah we could do that, but it might take a few more of us'' stated Wash ''I'm going and so is Simmons obviously, but we're going to need some extra muscle if we're going to pull this off''
''Oh we'll come'' said Donut with Caboose nodding next to him.
''Sorry guys, you two are a no go, it's your plan but what we're going to do is not your strong suit'' Wash stated.
''Oh, ok that's cool'' said Donut.
''Sorry guys, this just isn't your thing'' said Wash.
''Oh that's ok, I'll just continue working on the disguises'' Donut replied.
''Can I help Captain Coffee?'' Caboose asked.
''Oh sure'' replied Donut.
''Lopez is going to have to stay behind too, we need someone on the ship to ensure the program is being fed through and so we have a connection on the ship and Lopez is the only person other than me who can do it'' explained Simmons.
''[So I'm going to be stuck on the ship with Pinky and Little Boy Blue wonderful]'' Lopez said sarcastically.
''I've got a project I'm working on so I'm not going to be able to help either'' stated Doc.
''That's ok Doc'' Wash nodded.
''I'll come with you guys, you said you needed muscle and I've defiantly got that'' said Tucker.
''Well then I guess it's you or me Sarge, you want it or should I go?'' Grif asked.
''Actually I'd prefer if you came with us Grif'' said Simmons causing everyone to look at him surprised except for Grif who was looking at Simmons like he expected this ''we need someone to run the ship and Sarge is probably the best to do that''
''Oh that's the excuse you're going with, eh sure I'll come why not, I'd probably get bored if I didn't'' said Grif to himself with a shrug.
''As expected of Simmons, I approve of the idea'' said Sarge, who seemingly didn't hear Grif.
''Ok, so its decided me, Tucker, Grif and Simmons will go to Vale and the rest of you will stay here, Lopez I've mapped some coordinates for us to land when your ready begin landing'' Wash ordered.
A few days later Wash and Simmons were stood in the Vale Airport, Remnant and Earth airports worked rather differently for one there weren't really any security checks mostly because some of the passengers were Huntsmen and Huntresses so of course they would be armed as such security was looser, another difference was that their were no tickets you simply got on the bullhead with your luggage and then paid for the ride so people could go through to the lounge area where they were now.
The two were sat waiting for a Bullhead coming from Beacon to drop workers off and to do so they were dressed in casual clothing rather than their armour and this of course meant they weren't wearing their helmets revealing their faces, this was actually the first time the two had seen each others faces, Wash had expected Simmons to look like a typical nerd but that actually wasn't what he looked like at all, Simmons actually had a rather strong masculine face, he had dark hair with a five o'clock shadow and grey eyes, there was also a streak of grey on his forehead which he assumed this was part of his cybernetics, all the Reds and Blues knew Simmons was a cyborg but only Sarge and Simmons knew the extent to his cybernetics.
The only one who's face wasn't known to the whole group was Tucker he still hadn't shown his face to Grif or Simmons only Wash had seen it and Grif had shown his face to Wash, Wash had told Grif he didn't have to but Grif insisted saying that he had technically seen Wash's face in those photos he had so he'd show Wash his face to be even, Grif's face looked exactly how Wash expected it to he had a full fat face with brown eyes and a mop of brown hair so greasy it was like he applied a product to it.
Anyways the two were just sat at the station waiting for something ''alright it's been half an hour now are you going to tell me what we're waiting for yet?'' Simmons asked.
''That'' said Wash pointing to a Bullhead that was landing ''that Bullhead should contain staff that works at Beacon''
''So we can scout them out and find someone who's place I can take'' said Simmons.
''Yeah, now come on'' Wash ordered gesturing for Simmons to follow him, when they neared the workers started to exit the Airship Wash pulled out a Scroll he had recently acquired ''follow my lead alright'' Simmons nodded and Wash stopped before turning and holding the Scroll out, he gestured for Simmons to get close and they posed like they were taking a selfie but in reality he was taking pictures of the workers to find one that Simmons could disguise himself as.
After getting the picture the two began to leave but then they stopped as they saw something which Wash quickly took a picture of.
Tyler Blueman was having a good mourning so far, he was sat on the couch enjoying his bacon sandwich breakfast while watching the TV it was a perfect morning, so far.
After finishing his sandwich Tyler started getting dressed for work when he heard a knock at the door, opening the door he was a really fat delivery man carrying a small box.
''I've got a package to a Tyler Blueman'' he said.
Tyler took the package from the fat delivery man and signed the papers ''thanks, have a nice day''
''Don't tell me what to do'' the delivery man said before closing the door, Tyler just shrugged and put the box on his table when all of a sudden the box burst open and started to release purple gas into the air filling the room, Tyler tried to hold his breath but eventually he breathed it in and collapsed, after Tyler collapsed the delivery man entered the house and saw Tyler unconscious on the floor, he quickly tapped something in his ear ''this is the orange babysitter to GY, real one is down I repeat real one is down''
''Good work Grif, but can you cut it out with codenames'' someone responded ''nobody is going to hack into this channel, I doubt anyone notices it, anyways good work stay with him we're beginning our infiltration now''
''Ok, but what if he starts waking up?'' Grif asked.
''If he starts waking up let us know and leave, but we should done by then, don't try and sedate him anymore you could kill him with an overdoes and I think the last thing we want on our hands is a corps'' said the responder.
''Yeah, that could be bad, you got it Wash, I'll just watch the guy'' said Grif before turning his earpiece off ''wonder what he's got in the fridge''
Wash gave an amused huff, clearly he found the situation amusing ''don't worry that won't happen, let me show you'' he said, Wash then pulled the trigger but instead of a shot being fired the two only heard a clicking sound ''its not loaded, I've got the ammo I just need to load it''
''Oh, cool'' said Tucker, before briefly looking off to the side as though thinking of something ''hey Wash… I- umm, I noticed you we looking around''
''Why wouldn't I be looking around? I was just making sure we wouldn't be spotted'' stated Wash.
''Well it's just that you seemed to linger over some spots, so I just wanted to make sure you're ok'' said Tucker.
''Thank you for your concern Tucker, but I'm fine don't worry'' said Wash.
''Ok, but you know you can talk to me if you need to, in fact you can talk to any of us'' said Tucker.
''I know, but now isn't the time'' said Wash and as he stated that the radio in their helmets started to go off, the two clicked their radios on.
''Alright I'm in'' said Simmons voice ''is everyone ready?''
''We're in position'' stated Wash ''Sarge are you guys ready at ship?''
''Ready here'' said Sarge on the radio.
''Ok start the download'' Wash ordered.
''Alright, downloading now, is it coming through Sarge?'' Simmons asked.
''Yeah we're receiving it here Simmons'' stated Sarge.
''Alright great, now what, my shift lasts five hours and this should only take three'' said Simmons.
''Well I guess we just wait and talk'' said Wash ''when your shift ends we'll sneak out, alright''
''Ok then, should I try to do anything else while we're here, I mean we might not get another chance like this'' said Simmons.
''Well since this is going to give us a backdoor I don't really see a reason to'' said Wash.
''I kinda agree with Wash, except for one thing the virus he warned us about, will we be able to deal with that using this program your uploading?'' Tucker asked.
''Yeah, I'm actually working on an anti-virus for that when I finally finish we should be able to upload it into Beacon from our ship using this program'' explained Simmons.
''Ok then, in that case when the download is done you three get out of there, I'll call Grif when your done and get him out of there too, Simmons when its done uploading excuse yourself to go to the bathroom and escape then'' said Sarge.
''I don't know if a Bullhead is leaving at that time sir'' said Simmons.
''We can check, we'll go around to the airfield to see if a Bullheads taking off'' said Wash.
''Oh, ok if one is then I'll try to get on it'' said Simmons.
''Sounds good to me, we'll call if we run into a problem on our end, until then command out'' said Sarge cutting connection.
So after three hours Wash and Tucker went around to the airfield seeing a ship their they signalled Simmons who after excusing himself from work quickly made his way to get on the ship and Wash and Tucker snuck back on the ship, once they got on the Airship took off and they left Beacon with their assignment complete.
So that was the chapter, I hope you all liked it so with that the next chapter is when the RWBY story begins, which was why I wanted them to be able to see through the security camera's so they could see Wash when he's Jaune.
I hope you didn't mind my interpretation of Grif and Simmons faces, just letting you know I don't think that's actually what Simmons's face looks like but I thought it would be funny to give Simmons a really masculine manly face while he's… ya know Simmons, doubt any of you are interested in what Wash and Simmons took a picture of but I'm just going to let you know that's going to lead into a joke later.
