Master Fighter Battles 2 Chapter 8 Meeting the Enemy

(Inside the palace atrium, Genesect practices his words for its first meeting with Snorlax. Genesect threateningly points its Claw at an imaginary Snorlax).
Genesect: Greetings, Snorlax! At last, we meet! (Genesect falters). Oh, no, no, no, no, no... (Genesect acrobatically flips about before pointing its Claw in another direction). We meet at last! Yes! Thatis, it! Greetings, Snorlax! We meet at la- (Genesect stops short when he ends up pointing its Claw at Froslass, who has appeared out of nowhere).
Froslass: You are afraid for a reason. (Genesect denies this Saying).
Genesect: Iam not afraid. Heis coming to me in chains! If anyone should be afraid, its... (Then Froslass interrupts Genesect Saying).
Froslass: You. (Genesect looks at her... then quickly Backs away out of her reach).
Genesect: Do not even think about it.
(Outside, the captured warriors are being lead across the palace courtyard. Blaziken turns to Snorlax).
Blaziken: I hope this turns out better than your plan to cook Berries in your stomach by eating it raw and then drinking boiling water...
Snorlax: This plan is nothing like that plan.
Blaziken: How?
Snorlax: 'Cause this oneis going to work. (Snorlax suddenly loses His footing. Snorlax and the Five Masters quickly see that Snorlax has stumbled on the edge of a huge crater... with Sirfetch'd's damaged Staff and Shield standing on the other end like a macabre memorial. The warriors stare in horror as Darmanitan mockingly pats the Sword's staff, chuckling).
Darmanitan: Keep moving. (The warriors narrow their eyes as they are lead inside the tower. Snorlax spots something unseen in front of them).
Snorlax: Ah... my old enemy... (Snorlax is gazing up at an enormous staircase leading all the way to the top). Stairs...
(In the throne room, Genesect, Froslass and a Exploud soldier nervously await Snorlax's arrival. They see a hulking shadow moving up the stairs... hear Snorlax grunting with each thundering step... Genesect readies a Claw slightly... Froslass looks on expectantly... the shadow nears the top of the stairs... and then Snorlax appears... on a Exploud's back like a sack of Berries. Exploud flings the Snorlax on the floor as Darmanitan and the Animarium Wild Force also reach the top of the stairs).
Snorlax: Thanks for... carrying me those last few flights... (Blaziken helps Snorlax up as Genesect and Froslass look on, astonished. Darmanitan points a spear at Blaziken- She kicks it out of Darmanitan's paws and into a pillar),I threw up a little on the third floor, someone might want to clean that up. Is there a kinda evil janitor or somethin'? (Then Genesect goes to introduce itself).
Genesect: Greetings, Snorlax! We meet at-
Snorlax: Hey, how you doin'? (Genesect is off guard at how Snorlax interrupted it and says awkwardly).
Genesect: Hey... (Froslass approaches Snorlax and pokes Snorlax gently in the belly).
Froslass: Youhave grown up bigger than I thought... (Froslass examines the Snorlax, looking inside a confused Snorlax's ear as She does so). Strong... (Froslass opens Snorlax's mouth and peers inside). Healthy.
Snorlax: Look, I do not know who you are, but please step aside, sir. (Then Dragonair Whispers to Snorlax).
Dragonair: Thatis a lady. (Snorlax does a double take upon hearing this).
Snorlax: Oh, sorry! The Ice threw me... itis kinda misleading... (Froslass strokes the Ice on her Head, clearly amused, and not offended at all). False advertising... (Genesect has had enough of this Nonsense says Yelling at them).
Genesect: Enough of this nonsense! Bring the prisoners to me. (Snorlax and the Five Masters go further into the throne room).
Snorlax: Get ready, guys. Keep your eyes peeled for the... weapon! (Snorlax spots a tiny model of the cannon on a table. Quick as Lightning, Snorlax charges at the model Shouting). SPARROW KICK! (Snorlax destroys the Tiny Cannon Model leaving it in pieces. The Five Masters stare at Snorlax, mortified; Corviknight even hangs his head down in shame. The Froslass is in a perplexed state).Yes! We did it! Did You all see that? Wahoooo... (The triumphant Snorlax turns... and finds himself standing in front of the giant cannon in the middle of the room. The Five Masters move to stand next to Snorlax as Genesect approaches, laughing at them before turning to Froslass and asks while still laughing).
Genesect: Do You really think that this is the warrior destined to defeat me?
Froslass: I do not... and I knowHe is.
Genesect: Look at Him! A lifetime to plot His revenge and He comes to me on His knees!
Snorlax: Hey, wait, I did not have a lifetime... we only heard about Master Sirfetch'd a Couple of days ago, and we came to avenge Him! (Froslass stares and asks Snorlax).
Froslass: Youhave come to avenge nothing else?
Snorlax: Yes, all those pots and pans you stole- weare going to want those back!
Froslass: Nothing else?
Snorlax: You may have done a couple of other evil stuff on the way, I do not know, what else did He do? (Froslass is in shock at this Response. Meanwhile, Dragonair sticks Her tail into Blaziken's cuffs and starts picking the lock to set Blaziken free).
Froslass: You do not know...
Snorlax: Know what? (Genesect begins laughing). Whatis so funny?
Genesect: Precisely the thing... that you clearly do notknow! (Snorlax has had enough and Snaps Yelling).
Snorlax: Okay, enough with these riddles! Would You all just Spill the Beans?! First the weapon was tiny- hey surprise, itis big! And then the Pokémon over here- I think is a Male 'because She has a... (Quick as a flash, Genesect aims a Claw in Snorlax's face, shutting Snorlax up).
Genesect: The only reason youare still alive is that I find your stupidity... mildlyamusing.
Snorlax: Well, thank you, but I find your evilness extremely annoying.
Genesect: Who do you think you are, Snorlax?
Snorlax: Who do you think I am, Genesect? (Genesect chuckles... Snorlax chuckles back... soon both Snorlax and Genesect are laughing their heads off as the Five Masters look on, flabbergasted).Why are we laughing?
Genesect: Take aim. (Moments Later, Darmanitan aims the cannon at the warriors as the Exploud's open the balcony doors behind them. Dragonair continues to pick the lock. Snorlax and the experts prepare themselves as Darmanitan readies his Fire Punch to light the fuse).Fire! (Darmanitan lights the fuse. Genesect laughs evilly... and then realizes that nothing has happened). Well?! Light the... thing!
Darmanitan: Uh, I did! (Darmanitan lights the fuse again... a flash of red douses it faster than the eye can see. Darmanitan tries again... and again... and again... then Buzzwole Mach Punches the lighter out Darmanitan's paw and holds it above it head like a wrestler holds a trophy belt while Standing on Top of the Cannon before Shouting).
Buzzwole: FEAR THE BUG! (Genesect stares at the Buzzwole with Hands in Cuffs on... It Disappears in a puff of Smoke. Revealing it was Just a Substitute as Snorlax laughs. At that moment, Dragonair picks the lock and Blaziken leaps free. Blaziken strikes off the cuffs of Her friends and Corviknight leaps into the air and blows the Gurdurr away with His Hurricane Attack. A Exploud collides with Darmanitan, knocking Darmanitan to the Ground. And Genesect is in shock before Snorlax Shouts).
Snorlax: Get the weapon! (They spring to action. Blaziken leaps on Snorlax's back, jumps off and strikes the mouth of the cannon, flipping it in the air just as Buzzwole takes Flight into the Air moments before hand. Genesect staggers backwards as Snorlax leaps at Genesect with a battle cry. Buzzwole positions himself in the air above the Cannon and Focus Punches the cannon in midair, sending it crashing hard through the floor. The cannon tumbles down the interior of the tower and smashes to pieces on the ground floor. Up above, the Five Masters cheer at their success. Meanwhile, Snorlax pins Genesect to the floor. The Genesect reveals a Mysterious symbol on its Right shoulder and recognizes as the Same One Darmanitan. Snorlax sees the Symbol is a Shield that is Half Black and Half White. In the Middle of the Symbol is a Blue P with a Blue Z Zigzagging through it. Suddenly Snorlax has a vision of a mother running from Her infant son... a Red Genesect wielding its Cannon as fire rages all around Genesect... Snorlax snaps out of His vision, stunned. Genesect moves free and stares at the Snorlax, breathing hard. Blaziken turns and is in shock to see Snorlax staring back, making no move to attack Genesect).
Snorlax: You... you were there. (Genesect smiles, satisfied and cruelly).
Genesect: Yes... yes, I was. (Before Snorlax can react, Genesect rushes to the balcony and leaps off the edge, turning into its Flying Form where it folds its limbs and connecting its head to the cannon on its back. Genesect Continues flying towards the Fireworks Factory in the distance. Snorlax and the Five Masters gather at the balcony as a shocked Froslass is going away by the Exploud. Then Blaziken says angrily at Snorlax, Scolding him).
Blaziken: You just let Genesect get away!
Buzzwole: Well, at least we destroyed the weapon.
(Genesect flies across the city and lands on a balcony in the factory).
Genesect: FIRE! (BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Next to Genesect, Gurdurr fire Multiple cannons).
(Back at the palace, Snorlax and the Five Masters stare in horror at the flaming cannonballs flying right toward them).
Buzzwole: Aw no, He has way more. (The warriors fly backward as the cannonballs explode upon impact with the top of the tower. Though a couple of the warriors are mostly unharmed, Corviknight holds up a burned wing and cries out).
Corviknight: My wing! (Blaziken Rushes to Corviknight's side).
Blaziken: Snorlax, help! (Snorlax runs forward, and yells as He begins to fall through the hole in the floor). Watch out!
Dragonair: Snorlax! (Dragonair grabs Snorlax's leg just as He falls through the floor. Upside down, Snorlax finds himself staring at the floor far below. Buzzwole tries to help Dragonair pull Snorlax up as Dragonair says to Blaziken).Help me pull Him up!
Blaziken: No... get Him down! Use the ropes. (Dragonair releases Snorlax, who rapidly descends the tower interior by sliding down the lantern ropes dangling down the middle. As the other warriors descend along with Snorlax, Blaziken leaps down from floor to floor, carrying the injured Corviknight).
(At the factory, Genesect watches the scene with psychotic glee).
Genesect: Run, run, little Snorlax!
(Inside the crumbling tower, Snorlax loses His grip. Infernape screams as He ends up squished under Snorlax's rear as they reach the floor. Snorlax rolls away as the other warriors join them at the bottom before trying to process what he just learned and get his Breath Back. Blaziken sets down Corviknight and rushes over to Snorlax, grabbing His arm).
Blaziken: Snorlax, come on! We need you to focus!
Snorlax: I got it, I got it! (The warriors run toward the open exit).
(In the factory, Genesect continues to watch alongside the cannons and shouts once more).
Genesect: Bring it down! (The cannons continue to fire at them).
(In the palace courtyard, the Gurdurr laugh as the tower is receiving blows once again. Inside, debris falls and blocks the exit before the warriors can reach it).
Snorlax: Weare stuck!
Blaziken: This way! (They run toward the stairs).
(Genesect laughs madly as the tower starts swaying).
Genesect: Goodbyeeeee!
(In a higher level of the tower, Blaziken smashes a hole through the interior wall. At once, they come face to face by dozens of Girders from Gurdurr archers).
Blaziken: Get back! (The others move back inside the building as Blaziken deflects more arrows and leaps along the outer wall. Blaziken spots the city in the distance... that and the swaying tower gives Blaziken an idea. Catching an arrow aimed at Its head, Blaziken runs back towards the hole in the wall).The only way out is up! (Blaziken grabs Snorlax and pulls him outside).
Infernape, Dragonair, Corviknight & Buzzwole: What?! (The tower begins to topple as Snorlax and Blaziken swing each other up the exterior, as the others climb up alongside them. They continue to scale up the tower, until the angle allows them to run up as well as climb).
(Genesect watches them with confusion).
Genesect: Where are they going?
Blaziken: ... to the top!
Dragonair: Come on, keep going! (They continue to run and climb as the falling tower heads towards the ground. A cannonball barely misses Infernape, singing Corviknight's Head a little. They reach the top...).
Snorlax: Here we go! (And leap off the very edge. As the tower crashes to the ground, the warriors clear the outer wall, evading flaming Girders, and fall toward the city streets. They land on the rooftops and disappear).
(Back at the factory, Genesect is Very Angry that the Pokémon meant to be no More had escaped to live another Day).
Genesect: You idiot! (Genesect uses Metal Claw on a Exploud in the face).
Exploud: Ow, my nose! (Genesect leaps down the steps into the map room, followed by Darmanitan. Then Genesect says to Darmanitan).
Genesect: Call in the Pokémon, all of them! And I want them ready to move! The Year of the Genesect begins now!
Darmanitan: Right now? Because itis the middle of the year. (Genesect slowly turns towards the Darmanitan). So, youwould only get, like, half of the Year of the Genesect... (Genesect pulls out and flashes one of His Sharp Claws).
Darmanitan: And this year, of course, is the Year of the Genesect. Happy New Year, sir! (Genesect lowers the Claw and stares at Darmanitan, who looks down, intimidated. Then Genesect Says Whispering).
Genesect: Get the Pokémon ready... weare loading the ships now... (Genesect Raises its voice). NOW! Now, now, now, now! (Darmanitan quickly leaves the room and enters the metalworks area).
Darmanitan: Move! Move! Move! (The Pokémon start working at a fast rate on the cannons as outside, a Gurdurr hollers a signal. Every single Gurdurr in the city travels to the factory to help with the preparations).
