A Forgotton Promis
Bakura was sitting alone on the balcany of his apartment alone, Ryou having taken his bed.
He was not really tired anyway so he decided to just go out and look at the stars. Little did he know
that Ryou had been looking at him through the glass doors that led to the balcany. Thats when he got
a good look at what he had been doing to him. Fresh cuts and bruses from the beating when he
disobeyed him visible in the moon light he rembered the first time he saw him like that. It was shortly
after the Mellenium Ring was given to Bakura.
FLASHBACK
His mother was tired of his father always traviling and wanted a divorce. His father went out drinking to try to
soften the blow of it all and came home in a drunken stupor.He started yelling and said it was all Bakura's falt that his mother left and proceeded to kick him across the
room then picked him up by rope that hel the Ring and cholked him with it. Ryou could not stand for this
and came out and surprised his father with a kick right to the nose. Who the hell are you his father demanded.
I'm your worst nightmare if you ever lay another finger on Bakura. His father then started to laugh HA
what are you going to do to me. I'll show you said Ryou. He then vanished and suddenly was holding
his father in a deathgrip headlock. He could fell his air passages close off and he soon stoped struglling
as he passed out. Ryou suddenly remember Bakura and ran to his side. He had a cut on his forhead and many
bruses and probally would be soar for a while but other than that he was fine thatkfully. Ryou picked him
up and cradled his small body in his arms and said Don't worry Bakura i'll always protect you.
END FLASHBACK
Ryou came to a realization. I'v become his father (AN at least its not your father, lol) I went from protecter
to slave driver. He opened the door and cough to get Bakura's attension. He say Bakura flinch as he turned
to face him and he felt a little pang of guilt. Bakura put on a fake simle and asked, do you need something
Ryou? Well no not really. Then what is it Ryou? I...I...Wanted to say I'm sorry for everything I have done
to you. I vowed I would protect you from people like your father but instead became a person like your father.
So your saying your going to start being nicer? Ya I guess. Well thats all I could ask for said Bakura.
Really? Yes I'v always wanted to be a closer friend to you but you always pushed me away. Well not anymore.
What about Yugi and the others will you be nicer to them? asked Bakura. Now lets not get carried away. said Ryou.
haha oh well I'm sure in time you'll like them too. said Bakura. Humph not likely. said Ryou. Oh well I guess
we will see. said Bakura.
