They all stared at her. She knew this. They crept away from her as if she was diseased. They all kept away from anything that is different. But it hadn't always been that way. At one time Ginny Weasley was as 'normal' as could be. But then she had done the worst possible thing: Fallen in love. She had fallen in love, and not just with anyone. No with the one person she was forbidden to be with, Draco Malfoy.

They had snuck out every night to be with each other, keeping their relationship secret. She knew it was for the best, their families would never accept their relationship. But the inevitable happened. Her family found out. One night as she was sneaking out Ron followed her. When she returned Ron had told the rest of the family. To say they were furious would be an understatement. A choice was given to her. She could either break all ties with Draco or promptly be disowned. She had chosen the latter. Looking back on it she wondered if she had made the right choice.

When she told Draco on the return of school he had turned cold. She still remembered the hurtful words he had thrown at her.

Flashback

"Draco, they know." Ginny said.

"What luv?" Draco said.

"My family. They know about us. They told me to choose between you or them. I chose you Draco." Ginny had smiled at him.

His eyes grew cold. "You foolish girl. Why would I want you now? If my family finds out I'll loose everything. My reputation will be ruined. And nobody is worth that." He had turned and walked away, not turning even as he heard her sobs.

End Flashback

The next day she had seen him with Pansy Parkinson. She had cried all day, locked in her room. That is when she decided to change. Red hair dyed black. Her clothes all black and dark. Everything as dark as her soul felt. She was broken.

She was mocked for her differences. She couldn't take the pain anymore. Her family wouldn't speak to her. Draco no longer loved her. They had all betrayed her, hurt her. Now it was her turn.

Ginny sat in the Great Hall. She stood and walked to the doors. No one gave her glance. As she was at the doors she turned to the Slytherin table and caught Draco's eyes. She smiled bitterly and walked away to the Astronomy tower, her one safe haven.

Sitting on the window ledge she looked down at her one constant friend. She ran her hands over the cool blade. On cut across her wrist and she finally felt something. Cut after cut until she fell to the floor, her own blood pouring around her. She heard footsteps and raised her head slowly. Draco's face showed horror and shock. He ran towards her kneeling beside her. Ginny could feel her heart beat slowing. Draco had tears running down his face. He kept muttering about how he was sorry.

"I love you Draco." She whispered. Her eyes closed for the last time a small smile on her face. She never heard Draco's response.

"I love you Ginny." he said to the only girl he would ever love.
