The sky above was showered in many lights which crashed down on a large sanctuary of stone. The stone had been finely engraved into the sculpture of a soaring castle. This was no ordinary fortress though, not a single person built it with their hands, but with their will alone. Cephiro, after all, was a place will, where one's heart could change or rule destiny.
Cephiro had altered however; the lands were no longer able to support even the minutest of life. Since the princesses departing, the land hand become unstable; Villagers, hearts full of fear and sorrow for her passing, resulted in a plague of lands. The terrain began to split, tearing itself apart. The lands were in chaos.
It was decided by the strongest that everyone should seek shelter together, thus the stronghold was created.
Aori was seated where the "weak" people assembled. Those whose will's weren't as strong as the rest could gather here. Out of trouble and safe from the constant storm looming overhead, they stayed hidden from those who might overpower them. Most of these people were children; some were mothers, which only cared about their young. The old had organized here as well, sickness evident in their lazy posture. These were the ones whom where believed, couldn't contribute to this world as much as the others could. While they all had strong enough will to help keep the castle active, they weren't believed to be powerful enough, at least that was what was believed.
Aori flipped her sun-kissed hair over her shoulder, wondering when someone was going to notice that everyone here had something to contribute. But of course, they were all just ignored... She didn't really mind though, really she didn't. The less attention that was put on her the better. To the outsider, Aori was a shy, quiet person. She rarely spoke to anyone but the children, perfering to keep to herself.
Her moss green eyes filtered through the crowd, looking over all the people who now called this place home. How long would they have to stay in this refuge, how long would it be till they found a new Pillar?
"Miko-sama..." One of the little children sitting next to her called. "Is everything alright?" Aori softened her face as she looked down at the innocent being.
"Hai!" She smiled down at him. How was she to tell him that if things continued like this, they would...
No, she couldn't think like this, she had to be strong. Everything would be okay, she would see her sister again.
Another violent 'earthquake' shook the structure, so fierce that chips in the ceiling began to give way.
It was enough for her that she suddenly stood, alarming the villagers around her. "Miko-sama.." They whispered, as she quickly rushed out of the room and into a place where she could be heard. She knew what was happening, she didn't want to believe it, but she wanted it, deep down, she just hoped that her will wasn't the cause of it.
The merging of two worlds...
