She stares out into the large empty hole that was once sunnydale, she thinks of all the things that happened that day…
Spike: "Just go I need to do this." She looks into his eyes as a tear forms in her own she takes his held up hand in hers and they burst into flames, never taking her eyes off of him. He stares down at her in amazement She looks into his eyes and says the one thing that she has been trying to deny, the one thing that spike wanted to hear.
"I love you" he hears her say this and he looks into her beautiful green eyes, as a small smile comes across his face he says….
"No you don't…but thanks for saying it" Those words cut through her like a knife as she tries to holds back the tears. She lets go of his hand and takes him in one last time… his crystal blue eyes that looked brilliant in the light from the amulet, which also cast shadows from his amazing cheekbones. "Now go!" he shouts and as she runs off he manages to say "Wanna see how it ends" right before he bursts in to flames with one of his award winning Spike grins on his face. Now she is staring at what her lover created as she thinks to herself I really do love him…. I just wish he would have believed me. She wipes away a tear that threatens to come to her eye and realizes how much spike had changed he went from trying to destroy the world to saving it. She turns to look at dawn, the only other person who really was affected from spike dieing. Buffy walks over to her sister stares at her for a moment before wrapping her in a big hug they stare at the now empty hole.
"I miss him" Dawn cries into her sisters' shoulder "I…I…just cant believe that he is gone." She gets out between sobs.
Buffy sighs "I know, I am gonna miss him too…it'll be hard but I think we can make it, we can go to L.A. and find a nice place to stay….and…and" Dawn starts to feel hot drops of water fall onto her shoulder and she just hugs Buffy tighter.
Together they look at the new Sunnydale, Buffy then lets go of her sister turns around stares at the rest of the gang and then the street heading away from Sunnydale, the start of a smile on her face as she thinks to herself….this is the new beginning, nothing can beat me now.
