Chapter: A moment of Peace
The words of "So basically, you snapped?" those words of one of his best friends echoed in his mind.
'Did I snap?' he thought to himself.
The last battle was somthing he could never belive he could be ossible to do. Six ships of the Earth Forces destoryed by him?
'This is something I couldn't do normally, so maybe I did Snap.'
This fact hurt his already scared feelings. Things allways goes bad for him. He had thought he had done a amazingjob in thelast battle but it just made things worse for him. The fact this comment just camefrom one of the two people he relaid on hurt him deeply, epispecaily since it was the oldest Hawke sister. That older but shortyoung woman who had stole his beaten up heart after he had beenasigned to her unit. Even now he had mostly moved past that feelingnow, it was his frist crush on anyone before and had been hard to move past. She supported him even when the few times Rey had not. He believed he could always count on her.
"Lunamaria" her name just came out of his mouth without knowing why.
Shinn grabed the only only object left of his departed familyhis little sister's cell phone. It always seemed to be the only
thingthat gave him strengh. He had pledged to make sure the horror he witnessedwould never happen again to anyone else by all means possible.
Gazing at that phone made him remember the other girl in his life even if she just a person he had just bumped into once. He could still remeber how she felt as she fallen into his arms. That blonde beauty in the dress. He woundered where she was, what she was doing, and if she was already in a relationship with someone else. If thought of that even if he knew, he would never see her again Shinn made himself beleive.
He laughed as he remebered thinking that same question after he saw Luna. At first he thought her and Rey were an item, tillLunamaira's little sister Meyrin told him one day after he asked her. Meyrin had asked him afterwards and much himself maded a qucik lie to cover up the real reason by saying that those got together well so he thought they were a couple. Even though she didn't ask again he knew she did not beleive him one bit. She was smart with knowing the opposite sex unlike Luna, but keept queit about it even though she didn't why she did.
Shinn kept thinking to himself while siting on the deck of the Minerva unaware of another person now on the deck. Lunamaria walked right next by Shinn and sat down and stared out at the ocean.
"So what is the with the your phone, Shinn?" she asked him.
This took him out of deep thought as he turned his head at her in shock.
"Luna" he replied in shock.
"It was my sister's phone." he pulled himself together to says to the red head.
"I always thought so," she repiled "I never believed you were into pink." smiling after this last comment.
He thought to himself 'If you only knew' looking at her pink shirt while she was not looking.
"It must be so hard not have her and your parents around, I could of not having Meyrin around." she said with sympathy.
Yeah was all he could say to that. He was next startled when she put her head on his shoulder.
"You know I am always around to talk to, so don't keep eveything inside" she told him.
"Ok".
They countined to stay like that it seemed forever till Shinn could hear the soft sounds of her sleeping. He enjoyed this
moment of peace with her in this crazy war.
