Another Mass Effect I? Well yes but this has already been written once by the great krogan warrior22 who has unfortunately abandoned fanfiction writing. This is a story revolving around the premise of the "Identity Theft" portion of Mass Effect 3's Citadel add on, except with a twist.

Commander Shepard wakes up after being killed in a surprise attack by a mysterious alien ship two years earlier to discover she's not the real Shepard, but a clone created to house spare parts in the event something happened to her true self. Jane has to wrestle with the circumstances of her creation and forge a new identity beyond the shadow of the galaxy's biggest hero.
