Title:
Find Her
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not mine
Summary: Charlie thinks about Claire and
their abduction.
Author's Note: Okay, this I started a while ago,
right after 'Raised By Another' and have randomly been writing on it
since. It isn't very long, and it's pretty crappy, but it's my first
Lost fic, so I am decently happy with it.
Bloody Hell. The guilt. There was so much guilt. It was his fault and he knew it. No one could ever make him think otherwise. She haunted him in his dreams. Flashes of memories of the abduction filled his head.
Claire screamed his name. She reached for him. Their fingers touched. That was the last sound he heard. A Shriek of his own name passing her lips. He'd like to say that the last touch was hers too, but rather it was the blunt object to the back of his head.
He had woken up to the pounding on his chest, Jack's fist over and over.
With a sigh Charlie sat on the sand, the sore was slowly disappearing, more and more each day. How long until there was nothing left of the island?
Would they find Claire before then?
He had to find her. He promised to protect her. He broke that promise.
The island wanted something, but what the bloody hell did it want?
When he closed his eyes he saw her. Her face lighting up when the baby kicked. He could feel her warm fingers on his as she pressed it against her swollen abdomen.
iClaire was nervous. She had never flown before. She wasn't nervous. She was terrified. Second thoughts about the adoption filled her head. Could she really do this? Give up her own child?
She sighed and struggled a little to get up from her seat. Her swollen belly made it nearly impossible. Finally she was on her feet, and a second later a man started to rush past her. He underestimated her stomach and she started to fall backwards into her seat when he bumped into her.
He grabbed her quickly, and helped her stand upright again, after a muttered apology he was gone./i
Charlie had to find her. He had to. He got up from the warm sand and grabbed onto his hoodie.
He wasn't coming back until he found her.
